The update of Skype is not on the Windows Store for me

I have Skype for Windows Desktop. However, a few months ago he began to say "Time to download the new update" with a button redirect me to the windows store. However... the windows store had no update. At this point, I used the online client. However, the online customer has been recently removed. I can not download Skype for windows, do I have to use the desktop or online. What should I do to get the new update of Skype to show up in the windows store?

Skype on Windows Store has been disabled, on 7 July, last year.

    Original title: windows update doesn't

This problem can occur for several reasons such as interruption of the connection between the computer and the Windows Update service, the system files related to Windows Update do not work properly etc. This problem can also occur if the manifest of components (CBS)-based services is corrupted.

    Follow these methods:

    Method 1.

I suggest you to temporarily disable any third-party antivirus installed on the computer and check the status of update installation.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2.

Start the computer in a clean boot state, and check the status of update. A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    Method 4.

Rename the Software Distribution folder and verify the installation state of update.

    Follow the steps.

    (a) press "Windows + X" and click/click on "command prompt (Admin).

    (b) open the command prompt window, type these commands one by one, and press ENTER after each command.

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop cryptSvc

    net start msiserver

    (d) wait for the course to complete.

    (e) close the command prompt, and then restart the computer.

Now, go to Windows Update and try to install the updates. Check if it helps.

  • Unable to connect to the Windows store to download the Windows 8.1 update

I am trying to download the Windows Installer on Windows 8 8.1 update.  The Windows store, I click on "Get the free update".  Then I get a screen saying "your PC is not connected to the internet.  Connect you to the internet and try again."  My PC is certainly connected to the internet and all other functions involving the internet are functioning normally.  I checked to make sure that all Windows 8 updates are installed.  And I ran every convenience store network that I can find.  All to nothing does not.

    Hello

It looks like the problem just from Store and ' not your internet connection or adapter.
You should try to reset your Windows store.
I know that is not your internet problem, but disabling and re-enabling your computer WiFi is worth giving a try. In addition, you can restart your wifi modem, it might be useful.
    To reset your Windows store:
    • Open Start, and then type wsreset.
    • This will reset your store.
    • Now open your store. You will see the shop saying 'Windows Store a reset' or something like that.
    • You have successfully reset your Windows store.
Go home, try to restart your windows 8.1 update.
Please mark this question as answer if it helps.

    Hi Haran,

Generally, this problem is due to Server related questions or changes due to the new computer. Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, I would like to know some information about the same thing.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. you are connected to the Microsoft Account or Local account?

    3. are you able to connect to the Windows site using the same Microsoft Account?

    4. are you this question while trying to download or trying to install applications?

Initially, I you suggest to try to restart the computer and then try to download or install the application on Windows Store and check.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try the steps in the following Microsoft Help article and check if it helps.

  • Downloading applications not in the windows store

How can I download apps that are not available in the app store windows?

How do you mean exactly? Some applications are limited to the region... so if you do not see apps that are in store for others, but not available in your area, you will need to change your region in the desktop Panel in the region the app IS available in (don't forget to change your region will affect your ability to buy apps... but the installation of works of free apps very well for any region set)

Go to the start screen, tap anywhere on the screen; Region

for the left JAB of the settings tab, you will see the icon of the region... Open it and click on the location tab to change your settings for location of PC.

Now if you mean desktop applications (these you can not install Windows store), you download and install office the same way as you did on Windows7

Finally if an application is not available in the Windows store, you simply must wait until he is, contact the developer of the application you want to check their plans

  • message "your purchase could not be completed" when you try to install Adobe Reader from the Windows store

I try to install Adobe Reader Touch to my Surface installed Pro Windows 8.1 Microsoft Windows store.  I get the following message is displayed:

"Your purchase could not be executed.

Something has happened and it's impossible to make your purchase.  "Error code: 0 x 080070057.

Only, this seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader Touch.  I was able to install applications from other vendors and Adobe (for example, Photoshop Express to the elements).  So it doesn't seem to be a problem with my Adobe account, or a problem with Windows Store system.

Anyone have this problem?  All solutions?

    THX.

    Hi jjquinn75

I recommend contacting Microsoft about this error message as it is returned by the windows store program.

Furthermore, I you recommend to download the installer for Adobe reader offline using this link (Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution ) and then try to install on your device pro surface.

    Kind regards

    I have a WiFi b/g/n on a modem/router Netgear DGN 3500.

But the thing I want to work is the Windows store, it is very important, without him, I can't download anything.

  • Can I stop the windows store to open one?

I have a new laptop with Windows 8 on it.  The windows store guard popping up when I'm in the middle of things. I tried to go into the Task Manager and stop, but he returned.

I guess it's because I'm the mouse in a certain way or point it somewhere.
Is there a way of opening on its own judgment? In other words, change it so it will not open if I'm going to the tile and click on it?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Melissa,

1 are you facing this problem from the moment that you started using Windows 8, or after a later date?

2 - is the store Windows open when you are working with applications?

Sometimes if apps are corrupt or if there are updates app waiting to be installed, then sometimes the store opens itself to inform him.  Alternatively, you can deal with this problem due to some program conflicts.

    Follow these methods and check.

    Method 1: To check updates.

    a. on the start screen, tap or click the tile store to open the Windows store.

    b. press or click on notification of updates in the upper right corner of the Windows store.

    c. choose updates to install, and then press or click on install. You can continue to use your PC while the applications are updated.

Method 2: Reset the Cache to store and check.
    a. press on the key Windows + Q.
    (b) in the search box, type WSReset.exe and press ENTER.
This should reset your cache to the store.

Method 3: If this does not help, then I suggest you tocheck in a clean boot state
To help solve the problems, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
