Formatting a floppy disc? Not sure whre to post.

Hello.

I bought a floppy A. call me drive old school or whatever it is you want. I'll soon make a version of the system. I have format the discs in?

I have my reasons for the drive floppy in case you ask. XP needs for AHCI drivers for my motherboard for a - on my re - install. I can also update my bios if necessary. Since I'm making music, there are existing instruments that use of floppy drives to store MIDI or other information, etc.

When I insert the disk, how to format them? What can I NTFS them? Are they read? I guess it would be fat16 or fat32 or something. With the former equimpent, I guess they cannot recognize NTFS or the discs do not work even if it is possible if I use that in windows OS.

Is there a documentation should I consult? Only, I don't know where to look, or anything.

I did not use the disks for a long time.  I remember correctly, they are formatted at the factory.  If this isn't the case, right click on the floppy drive and click Format .  The choice of file system is FAT . Boulder computer Maven

Default conversion settings... Automatic transcoding: Max A / V Bitrate 40.0 Mbps (I chose it arbitrarily) video transcoding: Codec H.264 (this will provide a higher than MPEG-2 definition?); Dimensions 1920 x 1080 (what I want); Frame rate 29.97 (selection 59.97 reduced dimensions 1440 x 1080); Audio transcoding system Dolby Digital (PCM would provide better fidelity?)

Note any other issues such as the length of time transcoding?
    Thank you, Don

That's the prediction of yet which is used and free.

The automatic can be applied to your PR sequence (i.e. the "asset" will get transcoded), but you must look at the setting of transcoding for the asset (ook in the project Panel to the right for the setting of transcode Blu - ray). I'm not sure you can max a Blu - ray player with only an hour of material. How is it?

  • LG GGW-H20L ATA use to work now, does not burn and no formatting Blue Ray discs but a DVD.

I was burning Verbatim 25 G Blue Ray discs like crazy, as well as the monolayer regular and double layer DVD for more than two years and now it will not burn or format Blue Ray discs. It appears in my computer and it won't give me the options of the ISO image or Live to get in shape. I use both bury camera Panasonic and Adobe CS4 software.  I use only the part simple DVD sex the LG GGW - H20L ATA now. I tried several things here on the internet, but nothing works, nothing works yet. Even tried the new installation of Vista 64 and still nothing. I tried to reflash LG GGW-H20L-ATA with the same version of the software package.

Anyone has the same problem or a solution? I need Blue Ray for my video business.

    Hi NewVideo,

Try the troubleshooting steps suggested in thisthread.

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Adding a folder zipped to the project, not sure of the process.

DVDs and I wanted to add a folder zipped containing the content in mpeg2 format so that users were able to enter the folder, unzip it and keep a digital copy of the video/pictures.  Unfortunately, once again done with transcoding/writing, he of the disk write-protected.  I'm new in yet, and I'm not sure of the process more efficient, so I was wondering if I could:

    (1) add the folder to the procedure, so once the writing has been done there is the VIDEO_TS folder and the zipped folder "Digital Content".

    (2) change an option that would not immediately hand writing and eject the disk, so when transcoding and writing was done, I could add the folder and then finalize the disc.

    (3) add the folder on the disk before you start construction again, and once the build completed two files would be there.

Thanks in advance for the help!

What you're looking for is the content of DVD ROM and simply navigate to the location of this folder on your HARD drive, before to burn to disc.

    Good luck

  • Y430: Not sure that turn off hard disks is no...

I have a Vista-based Y430. I am now on feeding management of Lenovo on Vista (thanks to this forum) but I'm not 100% sure what the selection of "turn hard drives off" does, well, obviously it turns off hard disks but which live the user when this happens? I noticed that when my computer is put to sleep (even if plugged in) for a longer period, it stopped but restarts when I open it up. It is since turning off hard drives or is it something else? It seems to happen only after having been asleep for over an hour. It drives me crazy because it closes everything I had opened. I'm the type of user who likes to open documents, browsers, and even games for long periods. I scanned for viruses and spyware, but I don't think that's the problem. So, I think it's the judgment of hard drives, but since I'm not sure that I thought I'd ask.

Moderator Note: Type added to the line object for clarity.

It is the complexity of the problems in P - and C-States of the processor, Vista driver model and drivers themselves. It cannot be cured by what it is. The only way for you is using Hibernate mode instead of view 'sleep' (I do).

Regarding the stop discs on a charge down zero - it is useful energy saving because order HDD consumption less power, but spinning upwards and dwn constantly does no good on the HARD drive itself, so this prefferably not not to use this function.

  • Windows XP cannot format a floppy disk

Whenever I try to format a floppy disk, windows tells me that it was impossible to finish formatting. Also, I was able to make a boot disk MS_Dos, but not the format a floppy disk.

Please if anyone can help. I tried for two days now to re - install windows on my computer. Once I was able to install XP, I get error messages and have lost the use of my mouse. so, I'm on another computer and try to format a diskette to make a windows 98 Startup disk so that I can reformat and reinstall xp on the computer that is broken.

    Hi Mischy,

The XP disk is bootable, just like disk Win98 I think.

You should be able to start the computer with it in the CD player and be able to install, as long as your BIOS is set to boot from the CD - DVD drive.

  • Change the default format for burning discs of this system active files in the ISO image format

How can I change the default format for burning discs of this system of active files to ISO image format?  I don't want the active file as the default system and really don't want to have to choose what I want to use the default every time.  It's boring. I have Vista x 64 on my computer and have not yet adapted to all the changes in XP.

Thanks, but it's not useful.  It is more that an 'improvement' Microsoft did that, as I fear, is a total and far failure to be an improvement.  It also means that I'll just use a 3rd party program to burn all my CD/DVDs.  You know if I wanted to be able to remove, reformat, etc.. CD/DVD I would use those rewritable.  That's why they exist.

  • Not sure about this pop up? Maybe a virus.

I use Internet Explorer to receive and send my email via my internet provider. Recently, I did up this pop on my screen when I try to compose an e-mail message. Next, I get a message from Internet Explorer has stopped working correctly if the program stops. The pop-up tries to install a certificate, I think.  It has the logo of Java but I'm not sure it's a legitimate opinion. Did someone familiar with this pop up and what I can do to stop it, and what can be done to clear up the problem is Internet Explorer to shut down. I've included a screenshot of this pop up. Well, I can't include the capture because he says something on the screen format. Now what?

  • DVD Studio Pro DVD "supported disc not available".

    Hello Forum,

I am trying to burn a DVD again an already existing DVD Studio, already registered and created the file pro with all the menus related to the video file.  Another company created the DVD Studio pro menu and queue in front of me, I replace the newly edited video and try to burn a DVD with the new video and audio files.

I compressed the file Compressor 3.5 using the button create DVD in the compressor, I created a file DVD SD Mpeg2, audio and video.  Imported in the pro Studio already created DVD file, I have the burned DVD, but appears to "Support disc not available" when I try to play the DVD on my Imac drive (also not tried in a standard DVD player no chance)... I tried this twice now, the first time that I realized I had created a HD DVD, I also created a separate folder on the external drive as well.  When I click on the DVD that was burned it shows as: HVDVD_TS and no audio file.

Can you please help me, I watched the video of youtube after another, but I'm not create from scratch, I know not at all unfortunately the program, but I use a DVD already created Studio, file with many menus already linked to the video and don't want to not recreate from scratch... I think this should not be so difficult, and definitely miss me something.

Thank you very much for your help!

    -Tony

Open the preferences of DVD Studio Pro and set it up to create the SD DVD.

  • Commercial DVDs do not play on MacBook Pro.  "Not allowed" and "Supported disc not available" is displayed.  DVD plays normally when inserted in a different drive.

    MacBook Pro (15 inch, early 2011) / 2 GHz Intel Core i7 / 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 / OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

    DVD Player Version 5500.66 / Build 5,560 (2)

When commercial DVD (NTSC) inserted in the MacBook Pro DVD Player error messages "forbidden" and "Supported disc not available" are displayed when I tried to play the DVD.  When the DVD was removed from the MacBook Pro and inserted into a different DVD player, it works normally, then the DVD was apparently not the problem.

    Your help is appreciated...

Delete ' ~ / Library/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist ' and a DVD player or reopen could solve the problem.
