Formula of member using loading rules

Hello.
We would charge a member and its related formula of a file .txt, using a rule. The formula refers to a member in the sketch that contains a slash (/) in his name.
I have attached the name of the Member in quotation marks (""); However, the name of the Member and its formula loaded without quotation marks and an error returns during the audit of the schema.
Here is an example; We would charge Member Yes and its formula ("AccountB' - ' Account/C'): the loading of file is:

* Member name *; * Member formula *.
Yes; "AccountB' - ' account/C;

The Member is responsible, but members in the formula are loaded without quotes; Thus, the formula of Member is not validated.
I was wondering if it is possible to load member formulas, keeping the quotation marks in the formula.
Thanks in advance

You must use a backslash escape character before each quote and the symbol of the division to make them stay

  • Load rule allows to get rid of the suffix

    Hello
I work for load data into essbase (11.2.1) using the rule of load. The problem is in the file, I am trying to load the account all have the suffix as: 234_Y. The contour is only 234. Is there an easy way to get rid of the member through load rule account suffix? I hate to map each account in the State of charge.

    Thank you

Can you not make a replacement / with in the State of charge of this dimension. That is to say. put the FLF in the field replace and let the with empty? (check replace all occurences so perhaps).

I guess it might be time-consuming if there are more combinations suffix as the example you gave.

  • problem update to bind a member with an attribute using the rule of load

Hi - I'm trying to update an existing Member with another attribute of the dimension of the attribute by using a load rule. In the properties to build the dimension, I have the name of the selected member where it says size. Underneath, I field Type, here, I have the dimension of the selected and then attribute below I have the number 0, to match with the child member, I'm trying to update for.

I am able to validate the rule, no problem, but when I run the update plan, my attributes for this member does not update. This happens to all of my attributes.

    I'm on Essbase 7.0.

    Thank you

You should (at least) two columns in your rule of load. The first column with the names of members of the basic members you want to associate attributes to and in the second column of the attribute member name.
If the dimension build properties for the first column, you set the name of the dimension and type of build level or generation (I suggest level) and set the number of levels. (Do not forget the dimension properties build to build level or you will get an error)
The second column, select the dimension then go down and select the dimension of the attribute that is associated with this dimension of the base

For example for the Basic sample, you may have a line that looks like

    100-10 can

For the first column, you would select Dimension = product, value of Type level = 0
The second column would Dimension = product Type = attribute dimension Pkg Type

In the dimension settings, make sure product is set to build level and can associate attributes and allows you to change the link.

  • Unable to load data using the rules file

    Hi all

I am facing a strange problem while loading data by using a rules file:

    1. I don't get any error/kick. It gives fair attention No. data values are modified by this data file loading. But nothing will load inside.

    2. I tried with Maxl and directly from EAS but gettting same warning.

3 has tried to block sending n to entires in the data file and it does not work (so no Dynamics members etc..)

    4. rule file validates correctly.

    5. I tried with different types of different files (Csv, Xls, Txt, etc.) but no luck.

Any suggestions / ideas of what could be bad?

Don't know what exactly was the problem, but I recreated the rule files and it solved the problem... May be a case of corrupted file rule?

  • Build a relationship of Scripts to load data by using a load rule

You can build a relationship of Scripts to load data using a rule charge and if so, what would this process

  • Passing parameters to MaxL to be used in a data load rule

I would like to create a MaxL script that accepts parameters, and this parameter is then used ina given load rule, IE. It will be used to set the exercise used in a data load rule field.

is it possible somehow? I don't see how I can use the settings of a rule of data loading, but maybe I could use MaxL to set the parameter as a value in a variable substitution and maybe use this way?

    Thank you.

You gave the answer, yousef. You cannot pass parameters to a MaxL statement to a rule of the charge, but charge rules may have them-substitution variables (System 9 or newer). If the void var in a statement MaxL value, then on the State of charge, use that sub var fade like a header or a column header

If you want to return the entire file, you can use the scale factor for the data column and it set to-1. You can also set the file to subtract from existing values, but I prefer the first way

  • Build dimension using the rules file

I use Oracle Hyperion worm 9.3.1. So that the dimensions of formatting built using the rule file, I came across the 'JOIN' and 'Create Join using' options. Can someone help me to know the difference between these two options?

    Published by: 873675 on July 20, 2011 12:25 AM

The documentation explains the difference with examples, now I was going to post the link, but I might as well post the info from the link.

    Join the fields

You can join several fields into one. The new field is given the name of the first field in the join. For example, if a data source has separate fields for the number of product (100) and the family of products (-10), you must join the fields (100-10) before loading in the Sample.Basic database.

Create a field by joining fields

You can reach the fields by placing fields joined in a new field. This procedure leaves intact original fields. Creating a field is useful if you need concatenate the fields of the data source to create a member.

For example, if a data source has separate fields for the number of product (100) and the family of products (-10), you must join the fields (100-10) before loading in the Sample.Basic database. If, however, you want to keep the two existing fields in the data source, you can create a field (100-10) using a join. The data source includes now all three fields (100, - 10 and 100-10).

  • Creating shared members through EAS load rule with duplicates allowed

I'm building my first Essbase cube where I need to activate "allow duplicate member name" in the outline. I have trouble finding a way to get the shared members added to the outline via a rule of the load. I tried to run my load of rules that I used before I activated the "allow duplicates" setting, but it does not work now. It creates members in double, which makes sense to me. I don't see a setting that I can turn to get the shared members added via load rules however.

    Help?

    Thank you...

    Bill

In your workload file, you will need to use full qualified member names or load rule allows to transform members to the full qualified member names.

Go to this link and read the sections below

  • Rules of local load vs server loading rules

    Hello

During the data load or how to consume build dimension in the essbase cube, either, we can use the local ownership rules or we can use the rules of server load. Chose any way and why?

    Thank you

Server load rules files are stored on the Essbase server and can be shared by / read byde anyone with privileges on the same server. Local rules are floating just around 'somewhere' - I have never seen the point. It's not as if you need to access the file server system to save to the server.

  • Formula of Member to specify the Intersection

I'm currently using the formula below for a particular Member (let's call the reprocessing) to calculate a price for reprocessing to-87% of the total amount of the Division (Div rented). It is a roll total number for all of the stores that we try to calculate the costs of reprocessing. My question is, I need this value to the next intersection: Comp, ADJ_Dpt, Y2016, reprocessing, real. In total, the cube has 6 dimensions (year, day, service, location, Comp/Non-Comp and scenario (actual or Plan).) The reprocessing of lease changes daily and must be calculated according to the formula below and inserted only at the specific intersection above. Thank you very much for your help!

    If (@ismbr (Y2016)

    AND

    @ismbr (ACTUAL)

    "Div rented" *-.87;

    Endif

Assuming that stick you with a formula of Member, you keep the FI as in my example above to the intersection of the "source" here, like this:

    'Rented Div'-> 'WILD' *-.87;

You must reference the other dimensions that these members are already part of the 'context' through the FI.

  • Analyzing the data of a column of data loading rule

A certain column in the data file contains the following information...

    800-67-40020

I want to load 67 just.

How do you setup of data would load file to scan 67?

    Thank you!

    Yes *.

For fields of nnn-nn-nnnn, you must split the field. See:

By using a rules file to perform operations on files, fields and data

    Splitting fields

You must create two rules and use criteria to selection/reject to reject a recordset and accept each other. See:

    Record selection

    Rejecting Records

    * Technically, the best answer is "no, avoid using rules of loading for the ETL and download the file in the right format with a more appropriate tool.

  • Formula for [member] runtime error: status [1130203] code

    Hello everyone

I have the following error message when you try to retrieve data in srepadsheet Add-In: "formula for [member] runtime error: status [1130203] code".

Also, I tried to run a calcscript by ODI and I got the error on: ERROR - 1013289 - command [MaxL: run] failed due to memory allocation failure.

It is an application of OSI in Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3, I found in the forums that it could be a question of memory. I checked the essbase.cfg and I found this:

    DataErrorLimit 65000

    CalcCacheHigh-1100000000

    CalcCacheDefault 500000000

    CalcCacheLow 30000000

    CalcLockBlockDefault 900000

    CalcLockBlockLow 400000

    DYNCALCCACHEWAITFORBLK TRUE

    DYNCALCCACHEBLKRELEASE TRUE

    DYNCALCCACHEMAXSIZE 600M

    DYNCALCCACHECOMPRBLKBUFSIZE 400M

Is it a memory problem? How can I solve it?

    Kind regards

It is certainly not a problem with your server that you have enough memory. I do not suggest to use memscaling now as it helps anyway for 32 - Bit

It is because of the values that are defined in your config file.

Data cache, cache index slightly seems good.

I suggest you reduce the CALCCACHEHIGH and the CALCCACHEDEFAULT as the Cache calculator may take a maximum of 200 M

Try to reduce the DYNCALCCACHEMAXSIZE and all the relevant settings for DYNCALCCACHE

Take a look at the technical reference information

I would say to reduce / remove these settings, restart the services, the same testing process and see if they are causing the problem.

  • Migration of Essbase loading rules with source RDBMS from Windows to Linux

    Hello

We have essbase load rule with the sql data source. In windows, it linked through ODBC created using the ODBC Manager in Windows. The Essbase server in the Production environment is now on the linux machine. How to connect the rule files essbase with the SQL data source now?

    Kindly help.

You must configure the odbc.ini file to add a data source - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_sql_interface/frameset.htm?ch02s03.html
If you have problems have a search for odbc.ini on this forum and you will see a few posts on the subject.
