• Installer error 1001

  I can't install the software of any type be it a downloaded file or a cd. The codes I get are:

  InstallUtilLib.dll error 1001

  MSI install exception occurred error 1001

  The dll error more often. I don't have much luck with trying to find a replacement dll. I did cleaning registry with Norton 360. System File Checker has not helped. Thanks for the suggestions.

  1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  2 when was the last time it was working fine?

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  4. what was the result of the SFC scan on the computer?

  Check and make sure that the Windows service install is running on the computer.

  (a) click Start, click run and then type services.msc and press Enter to open Services.

  (b) right click on the Windows Installer service and then click Properties.

  (c) if the box Startup type is set to Disabled, change it to Manual.

  (d) click on OK to close the Properties window.

  (e) right click on the Windows Installer service and then click Start. The service should start without errors.

  (f) click on the file menu, and then click exit.

  The InstallUtilLib.dll file is linked to NETFramework on the computer.

  Check the version of the. NETFramework installed on the computer by using the Add/Remove Programs list.

  Also check if there are updates for. NETFramework available in Windows Update and install them, check to see if it helps.

  If the previous step fails, then see the Microsoft article below and try the steps mentioned, check if it helps.

  When you try to install an update for .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5, you may receive Windows Update '0 x 643' error code or error code Windows install "1603".

• EliteBook 8540w - HP ProtectTools Security Manager Installation error 1001

  On my HP EliteBook 8540w notebook, I'm trying to install the HP ProtectTools Security Manager to use the finger print scanner, but at the end of the installation, I get an error with code 1001 and installation is cancelled and the versteckte for fingerprinting is therefore unusable.

  I tried the two sp48575_v5.0.7.711.exe and the sp49992_v5.1.0.736reva.exe and both give the same error 1001.

  No idea on how to solve this problem, thanks in advance.

  I tried the same thing and it worked, I disabled all services start in the msconfig and restarted, but I got the same error, then the next I went through all running services and disabled all that I thought was unnecessary and has tried to install and installed without error. Then I enabled return all services in msconfig and restarted my computer and the hp protect the safety of the tool Manager works as expected.

• I just wanted to know at all, if you encounter a problem with the update of creative cloud as if I was (error 1001), I discovered that my Webroot AntiVirus has been the origin of the problem. I turned it off and it updated correctly. Hope that helps some

• I can't update the Cloud Desktop App error 1001 designer after the installation of 5%. What can I do?

  3 times I chatted with Adobe support. At least, I had a link to 8 steps to solve the problem.

  Steps to follow:

  1. Open the activity monitor and close Adobe all related applications
  2. Navigate to: / Library/Application support/Adobe
  3. In this directory, you will see a folder named OOBE - rename this folder in OOBEold
  4. Navigate to: MAC HD/Applications/Utilities directory
  5. There, you will see a folder named "Adobe Application Manager" - remove
  6.   I tried all 8 steps. Step 5 "delete Adobe Application Manager" also. I got after the installation of new CCDapp - error 43 and new error messages.
  Example: Acrobat messaged it is damaged, because it has not been found the IMSLib.

  My idea was to reinstall all Adobe files and files of my Time machine backup. I am now back to error 1001.  I can't update my Adobe CC OBA programs.

  I have problems to update my Adobe Creative Cloud Manager Office in my Mini Mac with OS X Yosemite at the end of 2012. He begins to update and gets stuck in the 5% then, it gives me the error code 1001.

  Try all of the Adobe Troubleshooting on the issue with no results. Including using cleaning tool, uninstaller, same cc using an Installer package which includes the Basic apps 4 Illus/Design/Photoshop/bridge. This installer would pass through the installation and then always fail on this one machine with the question. Any computer that it will reinstall correctly. I removed records of application support, tried to fix the permissions, permissions of edition. The works. Nothing would work, and then I'd end up without the CC apps without the ability to install, therefore restored the applications via a Time Machine backup. I recommend saving your machine before you disturb it that way. Worst case you mess something up, you can just restore your Time Machine Applications.

  I found 2 solutions which worked and I hope that everyone the question can try these 2 problems, starting with easy first of all, and we all know if it worked or not.

  The short quick fix:

  -Download the application of Creative Cloud Desktop independent on this link here, follow their instructions to download: (do not use the regular download of the adobe site)

  Once downloaded, just install right over your current installation. I did have to leave off CC or whatever it is. As soon as installation is complete, I was miraculously able to update/uninstall all apps as usual. It's an instant solution.

  The long answer:

  -Reinstall your OS X. Backup your computer first! Do not rub. Just do a reinstall of the Yosemite El Capitan. FYI, I tested this issue on a Yosemite 10.10.5. After the OS X reinstall the app CC just worked. Probably because of fixing existed some permission issues.

  Please let us know if one of these 2 solutions works for you! I hope they do, I share your frustrations with the current Adobe and this question in general troubleshooting guides!
