  I use Livecycle Designer to a dynamic form.  I have a section of the form that contains the field for the user to enter the goals, and then note the purpose.  I want to count only the text fields with entries and have the total number of rates, divided by the number of entries in text field.

  Line 1, column 1 - goal is to collect 5 apples.   Line 1, column 2 - the given rate is 5

  Row 2, column 1 - goal is to collect 5 pears.  Line 1, column 2 - the given rate is 5

  Two goals for a total power of 10-10 divided by 2 = 5

  Is it possible to count only the fields that are populated?

  Also, is it possible to create an error message if the user scored 5 goals but rated only 4 of them?

• After the update my default text color is recording. How can I get this back to black?

  I noticed that this has happened after the update, not too long ago. I tried to print a separation to film using only the black channel, and it gave me an error saying that nothing prints because there is nothing in this color. So I did some research and discovered that all I've done lately the color of the text was 'Recording' instead of black. Why is this? It is not difficult to change to black, but it's a waste of time that whenever I need to change the default in my document. I don't see a way to change color permanently in the dark. I tried the usual, but nothing will change the default text color. Is it a problem in the new update, or is there something that I can change? I use InDesign forever and Pagemaker before that... I've never had to deal with the color of black text is NOT by default. All this experience? How can I fix it?

  Open the Swatches palette and click on the small button T in text format. Set the [Black] fill color.

• CS2 > CS4 text color problems

  I recently imported some files CS2 in CS4 and also a few quarters of text, all seems good, but when that we send it to print, some of the text prints black. I went through the file by ensuring that there was no transparency, without spot color settings/effects, etc., but it (and it's related files to always print with the same problem.

  It exports to PDF very well and allows to print from there, but no InDesign itself. I even exported to .inx and back, with no changes.

  Fact you check setting to send and receive on the iPad? Make sure that the e-mail address is always selected.

  If it is, try to force reboot the device by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again. You won't lose data, but it can clear some problems after installing new software.

• Why no response regarding the lack of background and text colors?

  Although I see that two posts asking why this happens, the only answer has been asked which PC they had. I'm having the same problem (background colors and text are ignored) with this pavilion ze4900 (IE9.1). Pages display properly on my desktop PC but not on this laptop. Driver chart updated today but no change. I'm not formatting HTML simple like bgcolor = text color and black lime green = talking (even if the format #00000). I do HTML (no java, no flash, but a simple formatting) for my web sites and ebay auctions and have never had this problem other than on this laptop.

  After the search for other sources mentioning accessibility features, I thought about it. The IE Options for accessibility and the colors were not the solution, but by going to control panel, I found other accessibility options and had the function of "High contrast" which forced most of the elements without color and also made most of the invisible extra boxes (no border).

  (1) on the master page:
  Add text object lblEnding (w = 176mm, h = 45mm)
  Wrap lblEnding in subform (frmEnding)
  Do frmEnding on on-call position (x = 20 mm, y = 200 mm, l = 176 mm);

  
  (2) on bodypage:
  Add text object lblBlank; (without border & transparent). He used to occuping the area of the page to the bodypage flow
  Wrap lblBlank in the frmBlank subform, sank, from top to bottom.

  (3) Note: The last mandatory content of the form template is a subform, called frmInfoBlock.

• How to change the text color in CS4

  Hey everybody. I know I'm not comfortable in Dreamweaver, but had DW8 before moving to CS4 and I'm pretty handy with it. In version 8, if I wanted to change a text color, I simply highlighted text and choose a color. No worries.

  However in CS4, I seem to be only have this ability in my CSS, (not the HTML properties) properties. Then, when I try to change the color, it gives me a dialog box asking questions such as 'new CSS', 'for this page only", etc. and I don't understand what I'm supposed to do.

  Can someone tell me in a friendly way (step by step) how to change just one color of text on a page? I went to help and he said to use the color picker, but brings back me to my original problem.

  I'm either something terribly wrong or ADOBE did a simple task in the brain surgery!

• Text colors are black in PDF format

  I worked on a calendar for the past weeks. I'm on Indesign CS4/Mac, printing PostScript using Acrobat 8 for proofing and high resolution press ready pdf. Which I did for years.

  In Indesign, I have the text in many colours different text boxes as the SPM 300, a green PMS and then some process colors on stuff. Converts ALL text in black when I open PDF file after distilling is done the folder. All placed images, files eps, the pictures are in CMYK color in the folder. Just Indesign text. I have never encountered this before and am puzzled. I went through all my settings to distill and can't find anything. I am went through my options of Indesign, but... not really sure here either. Nothing distinguishes, but I'm CORNFUSED!

  I inherit these files Indesign of the Agency who has donated to the provision and design of last year. They were in CS2, I think, but they were not CS4 I know that because I remember their upgrading from an old format. So I used these files from the start and just replaced the old information and updated the look. What can I say that would be useful?

  If you have inherited the files you inherited the printing setting and I'm going to guess that all text in black is selected.

  Why do you use a method of 1994 to create a PDF file? Just export from InDesign instead.
