  None of the videos by Fox News will play on Chrome.  Each organization website and news that I visit, I have no problem with.  I tried Safari with the same results.  Is it because I have a Mac dinosaur?  What can I do to fix this?

  What version of Safari are you using? They charge for me using Safari 9.1.1. Try to go to the Extensions/Safari/Preferences and uncheck the box for enable for all extensions. Test. If the videos play now, you turn on the extensions one at the time and the test. See if you can find the source of the problem.

• PBS and CBS video won't play; Are ABC, FOX and NBC.

  I run Firefox version 28 on a laptop Lenovo G700 of 64-bit running Windows 8.1. I try to view the videos on news sites. Most of them (ABCNews, CNN, Fox News, NBCNews) gives me no trouble, but two of them - CBS and PBS - won't let me watch videos. (IE11 and Chrome, works of PBS, but CBS does not.) On PBS, I get an error message of "plug-in file missing '. On CBS, all I get is a black placeholder (which does not left or right click) where the video play. Sometimes, I don't get even, just white space. I updated my plugins, reinstalled Shockwave Flash several times, and I went through my plug-ins, turn them on and turn off, testing as recommended; I could not find a plugin that's causing trouble. All I know is that PBS uses a program of "JW" to put its videos. I sent CBS tech support to see if they could give me some pointers; all they do is recommend Chrome, which does not work (as I mentioned above). I'm at the end of my mind; Anyone run into this sort of thing? Note: there is probably a different solution for each Web site, because the events are different.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  I don't think there is much you can do about it outside the use of workaround to reload the page until this problem is corrected.

  I don't know if other extensions download suffer from this issue, as well, so you can try a little more try the website of the add-on and if possible use a different format like WebM, if they are available.

  Also note that not all videos are downloaded and registered correctly. Some may have a size of 0 bytes and fail to download, so, best is to check in downloads of the toolbar Manager in the drop-down list to make sure that the file size is correct (i.e. neither 0 bytes, but a more likely size).

  YouTube streaming makes changes to the code and the way its web pages work, so extensions can fail at any time.

  I can not watch videos or listen to music with fire fox, they work correctly on another browser like google chrome and opera, but the problem continues to be that in firefox.
  I reinstalled my firefox and the problem has been fixed for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash player.

  I use to watch videos ESPN streamed in FF.
  I have the latest version of FF (41.0.2) and the inactive sites are espnplay.com and foxplay.com.
  It is not a problem with my cable provider because I am able to videos in Chrome.
  In fact, this problem started a few weeks; until then I could watch videos in FF as well.
  I don't have a problem streaming videos from youtube.com or any other website for that matter.
  It seems that the video continues loading but never buffer.
  OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

  I found a culprit, my friend! (I wonder I should have better things to do on a Saturday night, but... it is not subject of this thread)
  It's here: HTTPS everywhere.
  In fact, I didn't even need to turn it off, but just to turn off one of its rules for the ESPN site. The rule in question is called "Conviva (partial).
  I have no idea what is on (very common when playing with the unknown substance).
  In case it is useful for certain analyses, the eight other HTTPS Everwhere for the ESPNPlay.com site rules are:

  The problem seems to have stopped. I don't know what fixed it, I did something more to fix. Maybe it was the last windows update? I do not know. I think its strange none of the fixes I've tried has worked. I am very confused.

  Somehow his works now, I hope that anyone else having a similar problem feels the same spontaneous correction.

• Videos YouTube won't play. The black screen and the pictures are the same.

  The videos do not play or load at all. Just like thumbnails. The comments section constantly says "loading". I have tried every thing on the site here to solve these problems. The only thing that has worked to be honest was trying to load Internet Explorer. Adblock Plus and Flash Player plugins are either removed or disabled. Tried to make a new profile and delete the folder in %AppData%. It works for awhile and then randomly the fact still.

  Things that CAN help with this problem. YouTube is the only site that does that when it comes to videos. Sites require that use flash sometimes will not play even if everything is clean installed. I have Nvidia Geforce experience working with shadowplay allowed to also record the Desktop connections to. Because it uses the h.24 codec, I thought it was clashing with him the origin of the problem. I can turn off shadowplay and reload the youtube page 2 to 3 times and the main video will play only.

If Ive come here, it means Ive gave up stubborn. I'm proud of myself on my own attachment issues, but this one has me so I yield.

  You can view the log in the Web Console for error messages and network monitor (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) to see if the content does not load, or may be blocked.
