Frame size variances in the project settings?

Hi guys

I have new information and some comments on my problems with get output full screen.

I looked through all the parameters of the project, and I noticed that those that I tried to use...

HD 1080i (60i) and HDV 1080i 30 say that the output is at a16 ratio 9 and have an image size of 1440 by 1080i.

It's the size of the image or the ratio, I continued to try to import.

Eventually, I realized that this isn't an image size that is proportional to the image report it lists.

16 by 9 would be really proportional to 1 440 x 810.

The 1 440 x 1080 video I import using one of these, exports not full screen even if it exported the same size, what about, i.e.1440 in and 1440 out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------

So, I looked through the project setting for a selection where the ratio indicated and the size of the frame matched.

I found HDV 720p30.

16 by 9 to a 1280 by 720 size.

It would be a size easy for my work in.

So I did a video on that size then it loaded in PE8 and it travels very well.

Fullscreen without border. In fact it comes out full screen no matter what size I export it.

When I exported the same video to 1600 by 900 it exported full-screen and went well.

Then I went back and loaded the same 1280 x 720 video in 30 parameters of the HDV 1080i.

It was also released in mode full-screen borderless.

So the problem is that, as far as I can see the selection screen is wrong about the size of frame for the two HD 1080i and HDV 1080isettings.

Really need to charge something to 1600 by 900 or proportional to.

And like many I can find there is no setting that supports something else of the wide screen with the exception of the Standard 48 kHz settings.

It seems that if you want to go to an image format widescreen 720 x 480 is the only option.

Now I have to decide if I want to do future widescreen or are living with restrictions on the size of the image.

I do not change horses in the middle of the stream so I can just stick with the smallest size for videos of Lucy but I'll do the other projects on the big screen.

Thanks again for all the help.

Mike

Mike,

As Steve, the two quantities are practically the same, with one exception: the IRON (pixel format). With 1920 x 1080, the format uses square, with a NORMAL pixels = 1.0. The 1440 x 1080 uses non-square pixels, with a NORMAL = 1.3333, so that they are larger, they are tal by a factor of 1/3.

If you multiply 1440 x 1.3333, you will get very, very close to 1920.

I don't know any standard video format, which is 1440 x 1080, but with square pixels, i.e. NORMAL = 1.0. It could be one, but it is not a standard, I know.

When working in an animation, video screen-cap program or CAD program, it is very likely that they will work with square pixels, so that what they see on their computer screens, will be accurate, and the computer uses pixels square, where equal = 1.0.

With HD material, I think that the only format using non square pixels is 1440 x 1080 anamorphic, detailed above. It is a bit of a hybrid, as non square pixels are gradually almost everywhere, from computer to HD TV screens.

The use of non square pixels goes, as this was how things were designed for decades with the CRT, in NTSC and PAL televisions. Everything was then back 4:3 and 16:9 didn't talk, until right at the end of the CRT (they do not disappear completely, but probably soon). Then, set the 16:9 720 x 480 (NTSC) hit the HAND of basically of 0.9 to 1.2. The time that the SD widescreen has begun to take, the world began to go to the HD. As long as one makes a SD output, say DVD-videos, non square pixels will be with us. When the output formats are past, so I think that the 1440 x 1080 will also go the way of the dodo, and we're going to be standardized on square pixels. So, if we could only NTSC and PAL in order to, with respect to the FPS...

Hope that helps,

Hunt

    Thanks for the update.

We are both on the same line on dealing with what you think to be a 640 x 360, 16:9, and to do so in a Premiere Elements project without the consequences of black borders.

However, details to sort out when you tell me that you get huge black borders when you import this file to 16:9 in a 16:9 project.

If you set the project preset manually, have you thought about putting a check mark next to the "Force selected setting on this project' in the new project dialog box? Did you follow the path...

    • Open the project in the workspace Expert and go to file menu/new project and change the settings.
    • In the settings, set the project preset to match the properties of the source media. OK to get out of there.
    • In the dialog box new project opens, rename the project and make sure you have a checkmark next to the "Force selected setting on this project." OK to get out of there.
    • In the Expert workspace, import your media source by using Add Media / choice.

Excuse the request, but not to take anything acquired to speed things up, have you confirmed your 640 x 360, 16:9 for this particular import with program outside of Premiere Elements?

Please read the above, and then we will try to determine what happens with this file.

  • The project settings, mixed images downloads and youtube

I have a project that I shot mostly with a T4i in 60 fps, as well as some footage of a Canon XA10 in 30 p AVCHD.  When I do the first clip, first recognizes the images a bit and apply a preset.  I don't know what project settings to edit in - first call 60 p from my Canon t4i AVCHD 720 p images.  When I go to this download on youtube, my glidecam footage seems ugly, fragile, and it is not.  Images from the XA10 looks pretty good.  I tried a variety of download options, including hd for youtube, flash video and even registered as an mpeg and downloaded directly from youtube.  Same results.  When the project settings have been updated with the Xa10 of images and sequences t4i was made, it seemed horribly pixely.  I need these shots glidecam to air well and I wonder what I have to do.  I don't want to change this thing down and having to do it again.  I can't change the settings of the project once I started.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This video will be eventually linked or placed on a Web site.

Before leaving this area, in the new project with your digital SLR camera setting dialog, make sure that you have a checkbox next to

  • Pe11 - do not change the project settings based on the video source

I keep the light in various places PE11 should read my video source and change the project settings for the game when I place it in the timeline in Expert mode, but I don't see any indication that this is happening. No matter what kind of video, I add, the editing mode (and other settings) in the settings of the project remains the same.

I'm working with older clips (smaller than 720 x 480, 25 fps), and none of the presets project apply.

What if the project setting does not match what I'm getting? Or it is made irrelevant by the publication settings I use (assuming I choose good here)?

    Thank you

    Dave

As you have seen, WMVs will not change your project settings. In fact, I'd like to discourage you by their use as source files.

WMVs are a good video source you change in Windows MovieMaker - but they make for a source file bad enough for virtually any other video editing software.

  • Confused on the project settings for the Blu - Ray?

Worked w\Encore (5.1) a lot of time as the DVD, but this is my first w\BR try so I want to make sure I get this right (thanks in advance for the help!).

The project has a static image (1920 x 1080) and then several animate button video HD which will take you to a video loop "intro" at 1920 x 1080. On this video track, I have a pop-up menu (1920 x 1080 I guess?) which will allow you to select other videos.

    My questions;

Static & pop - up menu is correct?

The intro videos are 1920 x 1080 so no problem there, but the rest of the videos of the project (link to context menus) is all in SD (720 x 480 29.97) until the 'final project defining' should be?

Thus, away from it all seems logical for me until I have to project default settings, they list it as the Blu - Ray (H.264), 1920 x 1080 & 29.97 FPS?

I did a quick test of the only menu & intro videos and it converted the static menu in 1920 x 1080 29.97 but it takes 23.976?

I imported a few SD videos say "do not transcode" according to BR.

Still using the project settings for the menus and slideshows. So if you want a 23.976, then when you create a project, you can choose the frequency of images such as 23.976 in the drop-down menu in the default conversion settings.

As far as video is concerned, if still says not to transcode, then he will write them to disk as it is and yet also creates a calendar based on the properties of the assets. If the dimensions of the asset are legal, then the dimensions of the chronology would be identical to that of the assets.

  • The difference between the project settings and the settings of the sequence?

As the title says, I don't understand why we have to select project settings when you create a new project. If a project can contain different sequences severel with different parameters, is it really important what are the parameters of the project?

You can skip this step by pressing "Cancel", then import your media

  • Batch-resizing problem still frames of time in the project overview

    Hello dear all,

I had just now ask regular users of the Organization, a question to which I can not solve.

Well, that's the first thing: I use Adobe CS5.5 body of my place of work. OS / Win7

I intend to use the Organization to create a montage of time. I have all my shots right now and take advantage of adobe products to use the Pan & Scan of accompaniment with sequelae. What I can't do usually with QTpro...

I imported my frames in my body, committed to 1frame calendar and works wonderfully.

BUT, here it comes... in the right corner, you have that preview "program: sequence01 ' and my (PORTRAIT) photos must be resized: they do not enter the preview of the image.

I already resized my photos in Photoshop as a batch process, but as Id like to create a Pan & Zoom effect in AfterEffect, so I need to keep a decent resolution larger than the 720 p from my movie.

Now I can resize each frame separately with ease in the preview of the body so that the width and the object of my photos is just the frame, but is it impossible 'batch' resize by certain types of multiple choice in my calendar and then jump in the preview and manually resize them all at the same time?

As said, same resizing in Photoshop is not a solution because my photos are in portrait mode, while the setting of the video is in 16:9 right?

Please find an explicit illustration below, I try to explain this problem as clear as possible, hoping that I was understandable.

I advance thank you very much, I expect your knowledge to teach me

  • Settings of the project have been to 1080 for my 4 k images, thrown extra pixels?

    Hi people...

I understand that EP 13 is supposed to automatically set the project settings identical to an imported video file.  In my case, it didn't happen... I imported video 4 k/15 fps... and after that I'm done cutting and editing and now want to pan and zoom in the 4 k images, I see that the parameters of the project were actually in 1080.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) why EP did not indicate the project settings for 4 k?  And out of curiosity, wHat makes this EP when a person imports video of various sizes and rates?

    (2) since it didn't, did all the extra pixels above 1920 x 1080 to jump?  I ask because I want to pan and zoom in my 4 k and close up images at least 1080 p for output.  Is it still possible in my current project?  If not, is it possible to take my 4 edited clips of k and paste them into a new project so all the 4 k pizels are intact?  Or do I have to start all over again?

    (3) what does EP with sequences of 15 images/s exported to 30 frames per second?  Does it simply double every image?  It is not interpolate between the ribs, t - it?

    Thank you...

Thanks for the follow-up. I'm glad to hear that everything is going well.

On the application of the effect of panning and zoom in the video with the first elements Pan and Zoom tool, please visit my how on that.

    http://atr935.blogspot.com/2014/08/pe12121-pan-and-zoom-tool-and-video-file.html

You can make only one clip at a time in the workspace to pan and Zoom. Even if you video clips selected together (Clip Menu/Group) in the editing area, Menu/Pan and Zoom tools still sees you trying to use more than one video of group both in his work space and refuses to work.

    You wrote

I have a 'scene' which consists of 3 clips.  I want to pan/zoom the whole scene... so a pan/zoom can continue smoothly one clip to another.

The only way I see that done is to export the 3 clips in a file saved on disk as XAVC-S 3840 x 2160 @ 15 frames per second and then progressive for the import and export again in the program you are working on. Then Menu/Pan and Zoom tools. If you need to export these clips selectively in the working draft, then two criteria

    a. gray tabs on the workspace toolbar must span the area to export

    and

    b. export settings, it must be a check mark next to the option "Share work area Bar only.

Depending on how your Pan and Zoom Tool work progresses, we could also consider making the pan and zoom effects, instead of using keyframing of scale (for zoom) and the Position (panoramic view).

  • How can I fix the gap between the default project settings and the music video

I'm building a DVD in yet CS6, and some of the images you want to fragile/wobbly preview and after that I have burn to disc.  I think it's because the images were shot at 24 fps, progressive and native transcoding for standard def DVD settings are 30 frames per second, interlaced scanning speed.

I could not change the default conversion settings, and research online, I did, it seems that those who are set in stone. I was able to modify the project settings to export a lot of my images, but it did not help the problem. Nor do transcoding the video clip.

The project was originally shot on two cameras - a Canon 5 d Mark iii and a Panasonic GH2. Images of Canon has no problem. Only the GH2 images seems wobbly preview and make. • The aid project settings

I work for a construction company, and we were filming some of our own images for the security training.

We have an online training site where employees follow security courts, and the format that our videos must be in this Web site is flash.

I was wondering what my project settings should be when I create a new project in first?

I kept the default for DV-NTSC standard, but looking at some of our final flash videos, they are not the best quality. This has something to do with the project settings, or is it just the quality of the images we upload (some of the DV tape, some from a digital camera) and what we export as?

I'm used to DV-NTSC, because that's what I've used in the past when I took a class news where we have exported everything on tape for use in our newsletter (because it was for television).

But as everything we do is on the computer, I wonder if I should choose a different setting... If it would make a difference in quality.

The parameters of the project should be based on the format of the images I'm importing? (as I said, we use a DV tape, or digital files from a flip camera... so what settings should I use for them?)

Advice/tips would be appreciated! Thank you!

I choose one and stick to it.

The old band miniDV camera will produce images (with screenshot), pre can be used perfectly, for a NTSC DV (SD) project.

The new camera will produce images that has a higher resolution, because it is HD and instead of Capture (as you mention, in real time), you will import only the images. With later versions of pre, there should be a Preset Flip/Mimeo, which should work fine.

I would not mix images, but it seems that you are trying to do and that they are just trying to choose a camera and stick to it for each project. I would try that Flip images/files in a project Flip/Mimeo and judge the quality of output. Do not use this film in an NTSC DV (SD) project, but one is designed for the Flip camera.

While Sony has probably the best glass (can be very important), SD (Standard definition), so is not only about 1/4 of the resolution of the Flip, with glass of lower quality. This increased resolution could make up the difference of glass, in general terms. For videos on safety, could never see the differences in lenses of these two cameras, but test for yourself, with the good Preset for each camera.

    Good luck

    Hi all

I have some problems with the project settings (I hope this is the right term, because my program is in German).

    • .avi
    • bitrate: 480794 Kbps
    • Audio: sampling rate: 44 kHz
      Channels: 2 (stereo)

I have not found a setting appropriate to my video file, and when I choose is in part, I can't change the parameters (for example the frame size).

In addition, my video files are blurred in the prewiew, and also when the file is exported.

Thank you very much for your help

Well, the preset is important, but in your case, it is not one that matches. So, you must choose the one that suits best. In your case, you will need to adjust your images to match or have to live with the black bars.

Regarding the export/share, Yes, you can change the settings there.

    Good luck

Better is to implement a project of 30 p manually as elements are likely to be interpreted as 60i

  • project settings for an old video PE10 passed to 1080i 1080 p by ss14 upgrade how to fix?

    Hello

Today, I tried to resurrect a video that I have almost completed a year or two ago. Only a few pieces were left to do, but waiting for a single element of a 3rd party (a logo) meant that he got unfinished at that time. Initially, I used 10 elements and parameters of the project were 1080 p/25 fps.

Since then, I've updated my graphics card. Pe10 will be no longer work with this card (PE10 is too old to understand the map I think) so finally got upgrade to ss14 having had a bit of respite from the edition since the evolution of this card and PE10 has stopped working.

Project say 1080i settings (which I have never used - I shoot a SLR!) and it appears so there is no way to change this without redo any changes in a new project...!

I tried to do, but create a new project with fps 1080p25 settings, I noticed a 2nd number. Try to place the 2nd clip on 6s20frames in the project turned into 7s0frames. That is to say the timecode had begun to count to 20 fps not 25 frames per second!

I really don't understand what is causing ss14 causes these hassle with images/changes that worked wonderfully in PE10. But for the moment it seems unusable

    Can someone help me

    (a) change the project settings back to 1080 p/25 fps on the original project? (really the most important thing - although I suspect that the answers don't)

    (b) offers clues why a project which runs at 25 fps stupid plays * with time code and how to change it so that it displays the correct value of 25 fps?

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks for the reply and happy you have managed to create a scenario where the final result was acceptable.

Here is an assortment of information you put together impact the kind of thing you are trying to do.

    1. first installation items included 10 a dialogue so that the user could designate TV NTSC or PAL TV profile. After installation, configure your respectively have the default the Standard NTSC or PAL DV Standard DV project preset. Unless you have changed this setting in the new project dialog box, when you open a project, it would be your project setting if it was OK for your video. In some versions, the project could send a message to want to change it to you with an answer Yes or no to you.

    2. you can't change the preset project when it was established. If the project preset is incorrect for the imported video, you start a new project.

(but, in certain circumstances, there is a way to change the project first Elements 10 settings by editing the document in Notepad of the saved closed project - but that's another story).

    3. When you get to first items 11, 12/12.1, 13/13.1 and 14, other factors enter the picture. Programs are designed so that the the project preset is set automatically based on his analysis of the first file dragged to the timeline of this new project. If the project cannot analyze the video, the project does not give you the closest possible project settings. Instead it gives you, it by default which is HD1080i30 full of AVCHD NTSC or PAL AVCHD Full HD 1080i25. You don't see a new project dialog box, unless you decide to upgrade the predefined project manually via the file Menu/New/Project.

    4. and, to add to all of this, even if you're in a PAL area and despite your installation for the country and language settings, always have the default value of NTSC AVCHD Full HD 1080i30.

But, in your case, we are not talking about setting up a project, it is a project of opening a version earlier than the last.

Of immediate relevance for you now is transfer of project and its media to source from one computer to the other. When you import media into a project, all you get are copies of the originals who remain in their drive hard saving location. But copies of the project must go back to the original to the place where they were when they were first imported in the project. That's when the option to Menu file/archive/copy the project shines to give you a folder that contains the project file and all his possessions. This file can be transferred to a USB key for the folder on the computer 2. Another "Beware of '... If you store the source on an external drive support and move the hard disk from one computer to another, make sure that the drive letter of the external hard drive is the same on both computers.

    Please consider.

Best wishes with your Premiere Elements project.
