Free remote desktop to control windows 7 PC with my android phone?

Hey I was wondering if there is a free program for Remote Desktop for my windows 7 PC, so I can access my computer to my android phone? I can't control my computer, just access it from another server. For example, if I'm on the app on my phone, I want to be able to use my computer at the same time, separately. Most applications only act as a remote control to navigate / control you computer and you can watch the mouse move on the screen, which is not what I want. If anyone can help please I could use it. Also if you are confused, let me know and I'll try to rephrase or better to explain it. Please and thanks in advance.

You then need a server operating system.  http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/RDS-product-home.aspx

Probably, the company uses a combination of roaming profiles or RDS so that you connect in a Virtual Machine.

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums as it is related to maximize the number of RDP session for Office remote connections to the server. Appropriate in instances of Windows Server.

  • How can I use remote desktop to control my PC at home from my Surface?

I tried searching for an answer, but all the "tutorials" are non-specific in the one area that I do not understand.

I want to do is be able to use my tablet of Microsoft Surface of anywhere I have internet and use it to control my PC in Windows 8. Which doesn't seem to be the object of the Remote Desktop application, correct? Now, I have enabled Remote Desktop connections in Control Panel and have the application installed on my surface and they both use the same Live ID, but the next step listed is just 'type the name or IP address of the computer"and none of these tutorials explain how to know exactly what one of these things is. I tried to get the name I gave the computer, which also appeared on the window that I learned to remote connection settings, but nothing happened, and to be honest I don't know why he would do. There are a large number of computers on the internet and I don't see anything that would prevent me to a share with a different device name. On the other hand, rather too many results the app can't find.

I thought then that I would try an IP address, but for some reason whatismyip.com said he did not know. It's probably something on the router and maybe the reason why the previous attempt failed, but I don't have control of the router, so if that's the case then I need an alternative.

I'll also accept other software that would make it easier, let's just connect from these two devices and selecting from a list, but I have to be able to be controlled from a device Windows RT (I don't need to go the other way, and I do not think that that is supported anyway). Feel free to just suggest something even if you don't know it will work around the problem, it is not necessarily reproducible on your system, so the only way to know is to try it.

    Have you seen this page?

There are solutions for remote desktop connection problems. You do not want to enter the computer name or IP address.

To find the IP address of your PC - open the charm of search and type cmd. Tap the command-line results of research. At the command prompt, type ipconfig and press ENTER. Find your network connection and note the default gateway address.

    Hope this helps,

  • Some icons on the start menu are missing after a remote desktop session in Windows 7

I use Win7 Pro SP1 and whenever I come back to my office after finishing a session desktop connection to my computer remotely, I noticed several of the icons in the all programs from the Start Menu section changed to default page icons. If I try to open any programs that are pinned to the start itself, it will indicate that the program cannot be found. Notepad and Calculator in particular to keep more victims of this problem.

I also noticed that the audio controller is disabled until I restart.

I found a batch file that will rebuild the icon cache, but this very annoying to have to keep doing it because I have to remote into my computer almost every morning for the daily scrum meetings we hold in a conference room.

Does anyone know a permanent fix?

Remote - Windows 7 for XP Pro desktop

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate and try to use the Office XP Pro system remotely. I am the admin on both boxes and I have all of the necessary credentials. It errors I wonder if there are some parameters in 7 that I'm missing. Any suggestions?

Hi Caslon540. Here's something that might help you troubleshoot:

Another thought, is that you will need to download a later version of connection desktop remotely (version 6.0 or later) so that XP can handle the incoming connection to Windows 7 that uses authentication NLA.

  • When connecting with an Android phone through Verizon for attaching to the internet, receive the message "Microsoft (C) registry of Windows has stopped working".

twice now that I got "Microsoft (C) registry of Windows has stopped working". Looking for online solutions, it tells me to update... and yet my Windows Update is underway. What is going on??

I am traveling and using my Android phone by Verizon to tie to the internet... This could be the cause?

    Hi BetheForcia,

Exactly when you receive this error message?

Usually, this can happen due to data execution prevention.

In order to diagnose the problem, you can check in the event viewer to determine the cause of the error and after return with details of the event viewer.

What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer)

You can try to add it in the exception for the prevention of execution of data and check that it works.

    a. go to Start, Control Panel and click on System.
    b. now, click on the Advanced tab, and under performance, click settings.
    c. click on Data Execution Prevention , and then select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: radio button.
    d. now click on the Add button and navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and choose the regsvr32.exe file. When you receive the message indicating it could make your computer becomes vulnerable to attack and unprotected, simply click OK to continue.
    e. click OK , and then click OK to exit

    Hope the helps of information.

Please post back and we do know.

    Hi & welcome

As my partner mentioned above, it is an obvious scam... & should be useful, as it has existed for a time "long enough."

Cybercriminals don't just send e-mails fraudulent and created fake sites Web.

They could also call you on the phone and claim to be from Microsoft.

They could offer help to solve your computer problems or sell you a software license.

Once they have access to your computer, they can do the following:

    • Encourage you to install malicious software that catches of sensitive data, like user of banking online names and passwords. They may also charge you for to remove this software.

    • Convince you to visit legitimate Web sites (like www.ammyy.com) to download the software that will allow them to take control of your computer remotely and adjust settings to make your computer vulnerable.

    • Request credit card information so that they can charge you for bogus services.

    • Direct you to fraudulent Web sites and you prompted to enter the credit card and other personal or financial information.

The Canon G1X Mk II would be ideal for this. There is WiFi capable and with a sensor size of APS - C and M4/3, he has a fantastic image quality.

I do not have a Mk II, but my G1X has no shutter sound. There are sounds of the focusing lens and nothing else.

  • using windows Remote Desktop connection 7 to vista

I bought a laptop with windows 7 and I would like to know how I can remote control my Office Home premium windows vista in my laptop with windows 7.  I read that windows vista does not allow the conections using the remote desktop connection tool.

is the different way to connect to my vista to windows 7, when I'm away from home?

It can be done in certain versions of Vista, but not in all.  The ability is disabled by default.  Here's how to set it to the top and also explains in which versions it works:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/turn-on-remote-desktop-in-windows-vista/.  Unfortunately, Home Premium is not included.

Here is an article on how to use 3rd party free software to add Remote Desktop capablility to Home Premium:http://www.ghacks.net/2007/02/12/add-remote-desktop-access-to-windows-vista-home-editions/.  Use it at your own risk.

    I hope this helps.

  • Can I remote FOR Mac FROM Windows desktop?

I apologize if I've asked this question in the wrong group.

I'm a Windows user (15 years and more) for a long time, but I've never owned a Mac (I know, I know).

I plan to treat me to a Mac Mini (8 GB, 1 TB) and I was wondering if there is a way to remote desktop of my Windows on the Mac machine. The information that I found so far all seem to suggest VNC as the only option, but while watching a video on Novell (development tool), I noticed that he used what appeared to be regular remote on your Mac desktop.

What would be my options to access the Windows Mac?. I would like to have something running as service is available automatically once the computer has booted.

    Any help much appreciated.

TeamViewer.com is simple and it will work through the internet.  They are encrypted connections.

You can use a VNC on Windows client and connect to the Mac screen sharing.  It will work locally, but he tries to access it through the internet (also less safe) a little more trouble

System Preferences-> sharing-> screen sharing-> computer-> user VNC settings may control screen with password:...
