French English .dictionary file
Hey. I am looking for a French to English .dictionary file to run it in the dictionary application.
There is a Spanish to English .dictionary (which is nice and complete) file, but not a French-Eng one!
I don't mind buying one as files free .dictionary I downloaded are not complete. I would like a .dictionary I like how it works within the function "search".
Where can I go?
Questions about this here are very obsolete.
See you soon,.

Hello gelatoalgin,
I understand that you are wanting to add more resources to the dictionary on your Mac application. I know that the resources at your disposal will be found in the dictionary preferences. Take a look at the information below for more details.
Dictionary help
https://help.Apple.com/dictionary/Mac/10.11/
In the dictionary, select dictionary > Preferences. You can select and arrange sources, such as Spanish or Korean dictionaries. You can set options for a source, the display of the pronunciation, or the language versions of Wikipedia for research. The sources you select here determine the sources indicated in the dictionary and when search you for words.
Take care

I have a French dictionary and it isn't for a little help! I am running Windows XP and I have updated to Outlook Express 6 and I lost my English Dictionary. I went to options, spelling and dictionary and all what to choose is French. At the same time I had fixed by someone at Dell. Then my computer had to be "setting back to the default settings" and when I loaded my upgrade he messed up again and I have to pay this time to have someone to help me. I don't know what exactly I did to install English Dictionary, so it worked properly with Outlook Express. What they had me has worked flawlessly. I hope that someone with the knowledge they can share with me! Thanks in advance!
[I did the following (below) and got this error: Documents and settings\rosa\local settings\temporary Internet Files\content.ie5\96J19EGQ\spelloe_setup[1]. exe is not a valid win32 application. I don't know what it means at all.
It takes you by surprise... one day (you probably noticed it today), the spell check dictionary in Outlook Express changed in French. You know that you has not changed anything in the program then, how this happened? But before I tell you the cause of the problem - you can read below - I'll give you the solution.
As recommended by Microsoft itself, the best way to recover the English Dictionary in Outlook Express in French that you see now, is to use a third party program – a dictionary developed by another company. There are tons of these available, but we expect all first of all for the free options, right?

Spell check not to use American English Dictionary
I can't InDesign to use American English Dictionary for spell check on a single document (it works on other documents).
I tried to select the English Dictionary in oh so many places (preferences, character, user... Dictionary Panel) again and again, but every time I try to check the spelling happens with a Canadian French dictionary, so that every word in my document is marked as a misspelling. (For the record, I don't talk about any kind of French and would never have chosen the Canadian-French dictionary for a reason, and no one else was involved in this document.)
I tried exporting to IDML document and opened as a new file. I tried trashing the application preferences. I tried to change dictionaries when there is no open document.
Help! There are spelling mistakes in the last version of this document and the customer was seriously unhappy, so I really need to do a spell check this time.
Spell check language actually attributed to the text, so it looks that your text is marked as the Canadian French.
Paragraph styles, as said Jean Marc, are the first place to look to be sure that the correct language is used, but you can also use find/replace to assign a new language.

British English Dictionary download in Firefox, but not seen in Thunderbird
Also used "more dictionaries" in the spelling Thunderbird checkbox. There is no download the English Dictionary of Britsh selected - just got a "rotating icon" as if she was trying to download - but didn't upload. Several attempts.
Operating system: Linux Mint 17 cinnamon.
Sourjobraato Banerjee, please read the question again once your answer is not close to what the question was of about.
Just right click and save to disk, then in Thunderbird, you can open file TB in the Addons Manager or I think even make drag and drop on the TB window to install it.

Windows Mail - installation UK English Dictionary
Please explain how to install the UK English Dictionary.
Thank you
The problem is / was, that MS gave up Windows Mail in June 2006. Yes, so that Vista was still in beta). After that, all the efforts have gone into Windows Live Mail.
See if it works for you. If you scroll about 3/4 of the way, there is a section on additional dictionaries to use.
