Fresh install W7, HP Envy 17, network controller problem.

Hello

Freshly formatted my Envy 17 and installed Windows 7 Professional and noticed my wireless capabilities are now gone.

MyPCName > other devices > network controller
MyPCName > other devices > (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller

both have alerts.

Hardware ID

PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4353 & SUBSYS_1510103C & REV_01 - network controller
Bus controller universal series (USB) - PCI\VEN_1033 & DEV_0194 & SUBSYS_144D103C & REV_03

Info

OS: Windows 7 Professional x 64
RAM: 6 GB OF RAM

I'm sorry that I can't find the name/number of specific product on the laptop. All I see is a Windows (authenticity) sticker

I'm in Australia so it helps, purchased locally.

Could someone please point me in the direction of the required drivers or give advice on how to remedy this?

Thank you very much!

  • Windows 7 network controller problem

    Hi guys:

I have Windows 7 HP Home Premium. I have re-installed just now. Now I've lost

my ability to network controller. I'm now working on a stick.

You name it, I tried it (for solutions) up to and including the programs 'stand alone '.

I read today where the difficulty is from stubborn Microsoft

When it comes to things like the update of drivers and updates period, when it comes

for any other OS than 10, so I ask... is there a net controller that I can d/l who

will it work on W7? Thank you, Carl

    Hello Carl,

According to your description, I understand that you have faced problems installing your network controller after you have reinstalled Windows 7 Home premium.

Microsoft provides surely as readers for the most commonly used device drivers which get installed automatically based on the requirements for your computer. Also, make sure that you check the optional updates too, that your network driver could have been which are listed there.

If you get no device drivers in your windows updates. I would contact the manufacturer of your computer and get the latest drivers for your Windows 7 computer. Your computer manufacturer is one who is responsible for and must provide the drivers for your computer as they understand your computer better in terms of hardware.

Hope this information helps. If you need more assistance or information on this question, reply to this post. I'll be happy to help you.

    Thanks and greetings

I'm not sure why I had all the trouble, but I think the installation of SP2 or installing the driver before the driver Ethernet Wireless had fixed it.

  • Network controller, SM Bus controller problems + bluetooth problems

Hi, I just bought a new laptop from HP 2000-2d03SQ and a D-link router. I installed the router on the old pc I wanted to ditch the laptop wifi internet access. and that's where my problem begins... I managed to install most of the drivers, network controller and SM Bus controller show signs of yellow exclamation next to them in the Device Manager... tried to update with the windows updates, but nothing good happens, it says that it can find the drivers.

    Regarding the bluetooth.

    You are the very welcome.

    Let's try another...

    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3DswItem%253Dob_123851_1&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

If this does not work, please let...

    Go to Device Manager.

You will see a labeled device network controller and it will be a little! mark next to him.

It is the wireless card that needs a driver.

Click the network controller device. At the top of the network controller window, click the Details tab.

Now, you see a Description of the list system default list drop-down property.

Drop down on it and select the second element (Hardware ID).

Now, you see 3-4 lines of characters, the upper line starting with PCI\VEN.

After this first line of characters.

  • New installation XP ThinkPad R61 - looking for Driver for network controller

    Hello

My R61 came with Suse Linux and I have re-drive using a new version of XP. All software and drivers are installed but I stil have an exclamation mark in the Device Manager on the network controller. No matter what I do, I have re - install, drivers or when I search for an updated driver can't do the device to recognize a valid driver.

Any ideas or is this a defect on the laptop?

Usually when you install a device driver, the network controller is wireless network card.

The Ethernet device is generally presented as Ethernet controller.

    Looking at your specs

    T8300(2.4GHz), 1 GB RAM, 160 GB 5400 RPM HD, 14.1 in. LCD 1440 x 900, 128 MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140 M, CD-RW/DVD-RW, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1 Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, chip secure, RPF, 6 c Li-ion, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 SP1

It seems that you have an intel WLAN card which should be here.

Be sure to post the results. :-)

If it doesn't not reolve trying to get a screenshot of the Device Manager, if you could.

Intel chipset driver utility that I have provided the link should tell you what chipset is installed and recommends downloading the correct driver.

Did you install the Intel network adapter driver? Use utilities at Intel to help you identify the required driver.

Since you now have working usb ports, you can use a dongle to usb as a temoporary wireless network.
