from new text boxes, text is not quite all the way to the top

I work off someone elses ID CS4 files and there is a "Preset" I can not understand how to disable

With the new text boxes, I'm starting, the text is slightly lower than at the top left as it normally would be.  Ive checked the vertical offset, which is set to 0, also verified the inset spacing which is 0 on all sides.  This could be the cause?

Check the options of text block. Looks like the first baselin is leading instead of ascension (nothing bad at all), or there may be an applied custom baseline grid (or even a ducment baseline grid) and the first baselin is lower than expected and calls for the alignment on the grid style.

    Two possibilities:

    you text is on a layer and the layer beneath the layer of that your gradient is enabled;

    or your textwrap on a gradient box.

    I've updated to Sierra and was really looking forward to memories in pictures. I turned it on and it said that it would take some time to analyze my library. I thought that. I have a library of 60 GB. However, the bar has not moved for several days. So I left and reopened the photos. He then invited me again to activate the memories.     Memories will be triggered by adding more pictures, naming faces, names of places and in some time.

    I often see new memories appear as "on this day". For example, if the date is the same day of AAS, when I was on vacation and shot a lot of photos, a memory 'on this day' will appear.

    You have the preference ' Photos > Preferences > memories: holiday events Show "enabled?  Then you should see a lot of memories of family get-togethers as well.

  • Text entry box does not show all the text

    I'm creating a simple exercise where I want the user to copy text from the course, paste into word and report back what the number of words.  I thought that perhaps the text entry box would be the best way to go, since if you click the text (the default), you can copy it.  However after I place the paragraph of the text in the box and resize in the editor, until all of the text shows, it does not show all the text during playback is previewd or published.  It only shows the last words of the last row in the upper part of the box.

    Is there something that I am missing?  Or, is there a more easy/better way to do what I need?

    If it Captivate 4, there may be no need of a widget to do this. I'm guessing that you haven't tried allowing the scroll bar for the text of the entry (TEB) box?

    When I just plop a TEB on a blade, I get this in edit mode:

    But if I change the TEB properties and select the Show scrollbar option:

  • A text will not wrap around the object. Some does. Anyone?

    I worked in InDesgin (currently the CS6 for Mac) for many years. I'm not an expert, but fairly well-versed and comfortable with the program. I think I know almost everything about the wrapping of text and its options and how it works. But it drives me crazy.

    I have an imported MSWord part of the text. I have an item I want to insert in the text. Normal procedure. Easy. But this text will NOT wrap around the object. What about other texts? Yes. Other text in the document wrap around that object even very well.

    I rebooted the computer and the program. Check the settings as much as I can think and even spruced up the document from scratch as a MS Word document. Yet, no film.

    This happened to someone? What is going on? Help.

    Check the options of text block for the text that will not wrap. Ignore text dresses it is checked?

    In Captivate 5, I have accessibility slide text on each slide for users with visual impairments. This is set through the Properties tab > tab accessibility for each slide. When I published the Capitvate of the file as an executable file, the slide accessibility text is not read in the version of JAWS 12.0.1169 screen readers.

    Does anyone know why it does not play?

    Hey Dan,

    We finally figured this out for Captivate 5.  When you create a turnover there are two objects: the rollover_area and the rollover_caption.  In this example, the rollover area is selected with the dotted line and the box caption pointing to it.  If you select the rollover_area (and not the rollover_caption) and then add the text accessbility to properties tab > Accessibility button, JAWS is reading.  Let me know how it goes.

I use Indesign CS2 windows, my font of text of Basel's Minon 9.3/10.5 snap to grid, but my text is not sitting on the baseline path, while the unit increment grid is 10.5 pt.     I suggest you open the "original title" rather than "normal" or "copy" model so that you change the model itself for the future. Edit > Preferences... > grids and reset the grid first to 10.6 points, then back to 10.5 points and save the model again.

    Now, open to a new document 'Untititled' and see if it behaves normally. If so, the model is fixed and should be good in the future.

    Open any doc work currently on and do the same thing with the grid. and save again.

    I intend to have bought the first 13 items, it would be better if I bought a new program instead of downloading an upgrade, just in case the upgrade does not correctly load because of the error with my current program?

    If I have the deleted first Elements 9 on my PC would I lose all my existing videos that have been produced using Prime Elements 9 or would they be registered so that they can still be worked in first 13 items?

    First elements 13 works with Windows 7?

    First 13 elements absolutely works with Windows 7!

    In fact, I highly recommend you download the free trial version and give it a test run.

    In the meantime, go to Windows Update and make sure you have all the updates of Windows, including those who do not automatically install it. Then go to the website of ATI / nVidia and ensure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card and go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime, by the requirements of the program.

    Check the character Panel. Is "all caps" (TT) on?

  • Tables do not align at the top of the text block

    I created a series of models for our books, that require things like questions, to be placed in a line of single column table x 2. The 1st line of the table has a heading and an anchored object (icon in the margin).

    Whenever one of these tables is displayed at the top of a text frame, they do not align to the top margin, and I can't work out why. Screenshot below:

    The paragraph style which tables are sitting is our body text style, which is:

    9pt in 12pt, aligned to the left lane, space of 2mm after, keep all lines in paragraph together

    It is not aligned with the grid.

    It looks like "snap to grid of pixels" just once more.

    Uncheck the box "align new objects to the pixel grid" in the menu of the transformation Panel.

    Select the objects and uncheck "snap to grid of pixels" in the transformation Panel.

    I downloaded TB 38, which incorporated the lightning. I want to connect Google Calendar, but say instructions select Lightning tab in Options and then file, add the new calendar. Lightning does not appear in the Options window. I have restarted Thunderbird since upgrading several times, but still no option of lightning.

    You do not connect a calendar in Google Calendar. You create a new calendar. In doing so, you select the option "on the network" and then follow the advice given by Matt to enter the address of your Google Calendar.

    At first glance it seemed to be disappointing and awkward. I had a lot of things implemented in the 'House' calendar, and given that it was not in the new calendar connected to the network, none of my existing stuff would be automatically shared.

    At the time, I started to use it, there is no obvious way to move items from one calendar to the other. One method would be to export an event to an ics file and then import it into the new calendar. I think now that if you open an event for editing, you have an option to select the schedule to record it again to.

    You can use Google provider if you need and then the address you use will be one such as described by Matt, but the entry point is always file | New | Calendar. Forget the Tools | Options of.

  • Time Machine the new disk transfer has not moved all the time

    I have a Time Machine backup to an external drive. It works very well. However, he was beginning to run out of space, so I bought a new, bigger HD.

    I know that there are hundreds of TM captures on the original disc. And I've used them very well.

    I tried to copy individual files from the old drive to TM to the new, but it is not possible to "change the backups."

    If this does not work, try to copy the file to disk/restore utility using to copy the backup to a new location. Please note that this will reformat the destination partition.
