• Can play but not edit VOB clips

  I'm currently editing DVDs VOB clips that were recorded in an ultrasound machine. All will play on Windows Media Player but a few clips (usually the first clip?)  does not open in Windows Movie Maker. (They will not open on several other programs, such as Zwei Stein or a conversion program WMV. Suggestions?

  Are you sure to do not open files are video files?

  They have the VOB extension?

  Try these steps and check the result.
  a. connect your Sansa clip to the USB port on your computer.
  b. open your iTunes program. If your Sansa clip is not iTunes compatible, it will not sync with iTunes and it will not be displayed as a device on the iTunes program.
  c. on your iTunes program click the podcast icon to show the files you want to download to your Sansa clip.
  d. right click on the first file, and then click view in the Solution Explorer window. This will open the folder that contains all of the iTunes podcasts.
  e. copy all the podcasts and load Sansa clip by opening his drive in Windows Explorer.

• remove objects from the background using a clipping path

  A number of years, I've learned a very easy way to remove objects such as logos from backgrounds using masks and then saving them as .eps files that might be included in the InDesign documents without funds. You would simply use the magic wand to make a selection, inverse, create a path and the rest I do not remember.

  Simply, I can't find the notes I had on how to do it and can't remember the steps. It would literally take 2-3 minutes at the most to do.

  Does anyone know of this method, or something similar and very simple. At best, I am a Photoshop basic user.

  At took the words out of my mouth.  PSD is the preferred format for most applications these days.  You can choose to import as a single merged object or keep the layers.  EPS works well with Photoshop.

  In response to Sid, if you use a clipping path to draw a logo, then you might as well make the logo as a vector of the form of the original using as a model.  I regularly take this approach fuelled the logos of low resolution for things like sponsors etc.  Because you do not use the raster version, you can n to facilitate tracking it.  All the perpendicular lines of the limits of the image (don't know why I don't have not just "square") can be stored neatly by use of Guides, but you can also force the path points to have a square to the previous point by holding down the SHIFT key.  The resulting vector shapes can be saved as custom shapes, but I use libraries as you can organize them better.

  Hey people,

  New installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on a 8460p Elitebook. This model has an i5 vPro 2520 with an AMD 6470 M GPU. I put a 240GB SSD in there and decided to make a new and clean install of the OS.  After complete installation, with all drivers and firmware from the HP support site, but also an update of the BIOS, I have a very annoying problem.

  Whenever the laptop goes to sleep, and I try later the wakes, he only partially wakes up in. The power LED lights up and the fan kicks on as if it was on.  Wifi indication LEDs come also but only in orange, like the button mute. The HDD access LED kicks on a second when you first try and wake up but then turns off.

  This problem is really annoying and I studied him a ton how to fix, but in vain. I read tons of HP laptops with the AMD cards having this problem, but none of the solutions people have seem to apply to me. Much talk about a problem with switchable graphics and using old drivers from Intel, but the 8460 p doesn't have a switchable graphics option in the BIOS or the catalytic converter. Also, I can't seem to install THE graphics drivers intel this CPU or HD 3000 so I guess that it is locked by the AMD card.

  OK, well, after update BIOS, that doesn't fix it, I have restored the default settings within the BIOS, this fact. Computer now works fine. I wonder what setting that worked with my previous installation does not work with my new.

  I'm working on the project where - it seems - almost all of the clips are "too short" and require the FCP create transition (using what used be called the ripple tool, I think).

  I can understand that for five seconds shorter clips, of course; but as an experience, I wrote a couple of them with themselves, to get a few images at each end use - up to 10-15 seconds, and they were always too short. I slowed them even further... still too short, red on both sides.

  So I wonder: just what is the duration of the minimum clip for a gradual transition decently? Same 02:00 would be better than these 01:00 and: 16 flashes I get and I do not remember whether this way in other projects.

  Manages media are needed.

  Try a test with two clips:

  Make a point in two seconds from the outset and a point off 2 seconds from the end of each clip.

  Place the two items in the timeline panel, and then add a second two cross dissolve.

  Should work.

  FCP X can also let you know if there is no handle media and asks if you want a transition to the detriment of shorten the clips.

• Load the clip from the library in target on stage

  Hello. Don't bother anyone with this but have been at it for hours and am at max of frustration level. I am using Flash CS3. I want to flip a button on the stage which will load a clip from my library in a clip that is currently sitting on the stage.
  
  The desired effect would be comperable using the loadmovie command and by loading an external .swf into a target on the stage. Except in my case I want to load a clip in my library in the target, rather than having to load an external swf file. Make sense? The goal of making this way is I want the loaded clip to stand on the stage, while the cursor mills. But when the cursor rolls over another button, I would like a different clip in the library to replace the already loaded by the first button.
  
  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Be precise because I tend to get lost easily with this stuff. Thank you in advance.

  If you want to replace what has already been placed with something new, and then specify a depth rather than using... target.getNextHighestDepth (...) which always goes to the top depth value

  If the target is not a wild animal that would put you in danger, just use... 1 (I think). In all cases, you can find the best value before setting this value in stone using... trace (target.getNextHighestDepth ()); before fixing anything.

  Shit!... I forgot if that simply pushes the element formerly loaded at a different depth, is probably with my luck. If so, use target.removeMovieClip (); before attaching a new. The bottom line, I always try to offer... look in the files to help... they are your friend (once you get familiar with them).
