FrontPage with Windows 7 - SOLVED!

I spent all day researching all the tips and talk with 'experts' and I stumbled upon a SIMPLE solution that worked!

(using FrontPage 2002 under Windows 7 to change my web page)

(1) right-click on the FrontPage icon and go to properties... click on the Compatibility tab, check box "run this program in compatibility mode for:"and ".

then choose Windows XP or what version of Windows has worked for you before... click on apply

(2) RESET FrontPage as HTML by going into control panel editor... Internet options... Programs of... HTML editing... and choose something of another such

as Microsoft Word as the HTML editor.  Click on apply.   Close.   Then go back and do it again and this time choose Microsoft FrontPage.   In this way

It is set.

(3) when you go to your website... If missing the old Internet Explorer, which allows you to choose... Of the file, and then click Edit with Microsoft...

Just right click on a empty space in the toolbar and choose the "menu bar" (or you can do before you go to the web page)

Voila!    So simple... and in control!    (Microsoft should be ashamed of such havoc in the lives of the people.)

I tried to solve what makes a right-click on the icon, in "propieties" a part of "compatibility". I have swiched to "windows XP (service pack 2)", but when I tried to open the game, again got the same promblem. I tried to use the Troubleshoot utility, but I got the same error. Then I download the latest patch (1.74 (V) of the firaxis page. I get the DLL error, so I installed the DX that was on this page.

Now, the game open the window "loading...". ', then the display is "pixeled" (I Don t know how it is said but was something like that), then the "loading" window closes and the screen to return to normality.

    Hi Flare25,

We found that Civilization IV: warlords is not compatible with Windows 7. See Civilization IV compatibility

As you have already run the game in compatibility mode and the problem persists. Another option to run the game using Windows XP Mode.
See Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

Note: Windows XP mode can be installed only on Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or Ultimate editions.

  • Fix for common problems associated with Windows Update repeatedly trying to solve the same problem

When the machine running Windows Update on a Windows XP Professional (SP3 with IE8), the information for the download of the ActiveX bar does not appear. Tried to run the Fix for "Common problems with Windows Update" and it says "Windows Update components must be repaired. Difficulty-it short, reports of success, "Found Themes" saying "one or more components of Windows Update are configured incorrectly". However, still unable to download updates from the information bar does not appear. Repeating the difficulty happens with exactly the same problem i.e. reports etc. but no success still can not download the ActiveX on Windows Update since the information bar never shows up.

At tried all the suggested solutions I can find for the reported similar problems such as checking the downloads ActiveX security settings, reset Internet Explorer settings, and even resetting Windows Update (Articlce ID 971058) components. Still no luck. Therefore, I am unable to manually check and download updates of Windows security.

Otherwise my PC works well. Norton Internet Security is installed but did not prevent Windows Update to work on another PC I have. The information bar appears sometimes for other downloads, and it doesn't seem to be a problem on the Windows Update page.

Please can you help. Thank you.

No, I'm not not first uninstall IE8 (or IE7) before proceeding with the repair facility...

Long history, technical, short version: do not uninstall IE8 (and/or IE7) before doing a repair installation (Windows XP only!) leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a State of "confused" or "broken". Your only recourse now is a clean install of Windows (after backup your personal data).

No, another repair facility won't solve the problem - even if you uninstall IE8 beforehand.

Follow the instructions in this post of mine in another forum (to-the-letter & in order! ) to restore your computer to a State safe & functional: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=44636

If you need additional assistance with the clean install, please start a new thread in this forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system

Note: The computer must NOT be connected to the internet or local networks (i.e. other computers) in its current state. All your personal data (e.g., banking online & passwords credit card) must be considered at risk, if not already compromised.

Wish I had better news for you.  Good luck!

PS: So that registry cleaners can solve some problems (temporarily, at least), they are not & cannot fix what caused the problem. Compare to treat a broken leg with a stick and a couple of BandAids.

Versions of Windows beyond Windows XP are not entirely compatible with Acrobat 6. The first version of Acrobat that is supported by Windows 7 is Acrobat 8.1 (is no longer licensed by Adobe). The latest version of Acrobat: Acrobat Columbia, six versions more recent than Acrobat 6. You need to upgrade to get all the features of Acrobat.

I used the Windows 95 version of the Print Shop Deluxe on XP for years without problems, but now I just got a new laptop running Windows 7 (64 bit) and the CD will not download. Dialog box shows is not compatible. Anyone has any ideas, the update to download this CD please?

Its unlikely that the PrintShop version designed for Windows 95 uses some 16-bit code that is not compatible with 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

  • Qosmio F50 - 108 - Toshiba Flash Cards will not work with Windows 7

    Hello

anyone tried to install Windows Seven? I tried.
Everything works fine (Wlan, Lan, sound, etc.), but one thing is unable to work on my laptop: Toshiba Flash Cards.
I installed the driver, and nothing happened...

Any idea to solve this problem? Because I usually used it in Vista.

Thank you and sorry for my English ;-)

    Hello

The Toshiba Flash Cards has been designed for Windows Vista only

Windows 7 is very similar to the Vista and many pilots could and would go with Windows 7, but in very rare cases certain tools would not fully compatible

  • HP Deskjet 3051 a J611: help with Windows 10 drivers? Incompatibility problem?

Hello, I had to get help with a problem with my printer HP Deskjet 3051 a J611.

I was always able to properly scan using my printer until I installed the update for Windows 10.

I use a Sony VAIO computer Fit portable (may 2013 model) originally shipped with Windows installed Pro 8.1.

After I installed Windows 10 and I tried to use my scanner two weeks later (it prints very well), I can't seem to use the same program I was using before 10 Windows to use my scanner. I tried to use printing HP and doctor Scan to fix my problem, and he told me that my printer had an unknown driver error that it could not solve. I also tried to reset my laptop (and power cycling the printer) and to uninstall and reinstall the driver for my printer.

One thing to note: I use my printer using the wireless and wired (via USB), Wi - Fi for the scanner and the printer.

I usually use the printer function when I want things quickly, using an app on my Android phone, or otherwise, using my laptop (wireless, of course). But when it comes to use the scanner, I find it works much more quickly to use it via USB on my laptop via the Wi - Fi.

Thank you for your help (for that).

    Sincerely,

  • Pavilion 15 p-018tu: laptop HP with windows 10 stop problem

My HP laptop is Pavilion 15 p-018tu with windows pre-installed 8.1 unilingual. I've updated to windows 10 about a month ago. Now, my laptop is not properly blocking down. The screen goes black but the power button light turns on for a long time and it lights never out. Whenever I had to press and hold the power button to stop it. I found on the internet that downgraded to management engine intel version 9.5 will work, but my engine management intel is version 9.5. Now what to do? Is there a permanent solution?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!

I just checked and I see that your computer (this model) does not officially support Windows 10, meaning never officially exit HP Win 10 drivers for this device. http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-notebook-PC-series/5355006/model/5393349

It is made in the implementation and tested with Windows 7 or 8/8.1.

I recommend that return you to Windows 8.1 (your previous version of Win) in order to solve this problem and to have a fully supported features.

If you upgraded to Win 10 less than a month ago, you can use the built-in options to return to the old version of Windows, as explained here > > http://www.howtogeek.com/220723/how-to-uninstall-windows-10-and-downgrade-to-windows-7-or-8.1/

If you upgraded to Win 10 more than a month ago, you will need to perform a system recovery to factory default state HP recovery. More information:

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961#AbT9 and

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961

Windows 8.1 is the right operating system and will be well supported by Microsoft until 2023.

Before making a drop of ratings, please backup your important files on an external device to cover yourself / your information / against potential incidents.
