Thank you very much

Hi Cincleo,

1. are you able to access the drive of the camera?

As Fuji camera icon is visible in Windows Explorer, we recommend that you assign a drive letter and check the result.
a. see change, add, or remove a drive letter

  • SanDisk Ultra Drive Letter missing problem

Did a search but don't seem to find something that fits to my problem. I have several Sandisk Ultra USB flash drives, for most versions of 16 GB with a 32 GB version and for some strange reason, whenever I have insert in a Windows computer (Windows 7 and Windows 10) they fail to come up with a drive letter. Instead, I have to go to computer management > disk management > change drive letter and paths and assign a (usually E) drive letter to the Ultra drive to be install in Windows every time.

I have many other readers flash including Sandisk Cruzers who do not exhibit this problem. There is always a drive letter assigned whenever they are inserted into a Windows computer.

Is there a cause for this problem?

Is there one alternative to having to assign a drive letter to each time I insert the Ultra flash player?

    Ed_P wrote:

Assignment of the different drive letters to each different drive, IE the more different 16 GB for the 32 GB ones, should help. I have some of my own assigned to S: and T: to deviate the other random readers.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that on the Ultra drive (five of them) and it did not work. Each of them has been assigned their own drive letter but would not come up with a drive letter, so that other readers not Ultra would rise with the drive letters.

What seemed to have worked was to access the 'diskpart' execute the command, and then run the following command: automount enable

Then when the Ultra drives were inserted, they came up with a drive letter from the first drive letter not in use on the system.

  • Mode DSC-W510 usb drive letter

I'm looking for more information on exactly how this functions model of the device when it is connected to a computer - I would like to be able to connect with the usb cable and the camera memory stick appears as a removable drive with a drive letter assigned in Windows. I do not use any software to transfer pictures off the camera - want to just drag - move in Windows. This model camera offers this feature?

Page plug is really not so much about this and I tried looking for a manual for this camera and can't find one.

Set the parameters of the camera to a single LUN and USB connect to mass storage. To define, access the settings menu of the camera. After setting the camera, connect the camera to your computer. Go to the computer, search for devices with removable storage. Look for the drive where the camera is connected. If you see the DCIM folder, that's all.

  • Spectrum of HP x 360 13-4195dx: how to reassign the drive letter of the recovery Partition or delete partition?

I just bought a new spectrum X 360 convertible. I'm trying to use Laplink PCMover PRO to move my programs etc to my old PC. But when I get to the part where I said to transfer, it tells me that there is not enough room for my D: drive. The recovery partition is D:.

    What I've done so far:

(1.) I made a recovery USB drive using Windows 10 disk management software. (I thought that this software would allow me to remove the recovery partition after the copy, but he did this).

2.) I tried to delete the partition by using the disk Windows 10 Manager but is not an option.

What I want to do is delete the D: drive (I have the USB recovery) recovery and create a new partition of D: drive.

Does anyone know what I'm missing here?

Also, who was the person who chose D: as the recovery partition? (was that a competitor? (LOL)

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

I read on some other posts that the resumption of "F11" looked like a particular drive letter, so I was hesitant to remove the drive designation letter assignment. I did my recovery USB drive then I'll just delete the partition. I don't really like having all my recovery options on a HARD disk that will crash a day (LOL).

    Thank you

  • How to make a portable USB drive use the same drive letter all the time

    Original title:

I have many removable hard drives from Toshiba.  Use them for photography.  I usually connect simply, transfer photos from the DSLR camera (images raw, very big, not a camera point/rod).  When I plug in, computer automatically selects a player... F, g, H: by M or N.

Then, I use Adobe Lightroom for adjustments.  Once they are imported into Lightroom it keeps track of this record, they were on.

    PROBLEM:

If I unplug the removable hard drive, plug in at a later date, computer can randomly choose a different example M instead of H letter.
LightRoom is so impossible to find photos/images.  I would then have to re - import and start any setting completely from the beginning.

    Question:
How to direct the computer to select the same drive when I plug in a removable hard drive.

Plug in a hard drive removable, computer selects H:, can I import into LightRoom, I disconnect the removable hard drive, a week later I want to make adjustments more photography, connect the removable hard drive and FORCE/DIRECT COMPUTER TO SELECT H: AGAIN (or whatever of the original letter was).

    Hope it makes sense.

    Jim

There is a way to assign a static drive on an external USB drive letter, so you always get the same drive letter for the drive.

Click on the following link and follow the steps to change a drive letter.

  • Drive letter designation problem.

MS supports and myself work in seeing why I have Vista SP1 install problems.  I just (yesterday) to install a new copy of Vista on my HD with all the upgrades installed except for SP1 and SP2.  I intend to install so that I can get IE9.  Well, MS and I ran into a slight impasse and will pick up again tomorrow with a conference call.

Question: After our troubleshooting session today, he helps command, I was looking at my computer drive designations.  It's as if someone just took the designation drive letters that I have for each of my 2 discs and only them mixed.  Data and files, etc follows the description that I entered previously fair years through a random drive letter and there is to it.  It seems I have lost no files or data, etc...  Only bad drive letters.  Did someone came across this problem from a bad drive designation letter?  I will address it tomorrow with Ms.  In the meantime, I would like to see if I can understand why SP1 does not load.

Question: My C drive is correct regarding the description and the drive letter.  Can I be assured that if I managed to say loading SP1 and SP2 and finally IE9, C only would be affected.  I don't want to touch other players given their problem of letter of designation.

Question: I recently downloaded WLM only against MS.  I noticed that the appearance of it is a little different from the WLM that comes as part of Windows Live Essentials package.  Everyone has noticed that, and what did you decide to use?

  • Can I connect external drives, flash sticks, cards, etc. to a specific drive letter?

Hello. My question is for Windows Vista, Xp and Win7. I have Vista and XP.

I was wondering if I can assign (or delete the assignment) a drive letter to the external hard drive. I have a laptop and that not always you wanted to plug a certain external drive first, and everytime I turn on the unit. If I can assign a drive letter - I wanted to have it exclusively for some external hard drives, flash sticks, cards, etc. If possible. And Cancel if something breaks or is replaced, etc.

Can I do this with my office also (this is the XP one)?

Can it confuse the system? What updates or anything like that? What happens if I change the associated device?

Also would it help if I run specific programmes on a device external usb, but I am currently not.

Assuming this works: I can leave something assigned to the drive letter K and whatever it is I plugged in any OS: nothing runs the K drive unless it is the specific device, even if not assigned devices...? Those who can jump to L or D - J, etc.?

    Thank you.

Assignment of drive letters is pretty easy - use tool (diskmgmt.msc) disk management to assign letters.  Insert the disk or device, run the disk management tool, find the drive or device, right click and select 'Change Drive Letter and paths', click the 'Edit' button and assign the drive letter you want.  Not the drive letter assignment is made by inserting the device and using the button 'delete '.  I don't know of a way to remove a drive letter assignment, if the device is missing or damaged /-maybe someone else can chime with this knowledge.

  • How to assign a drive letter on a Portable device?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XSi and I am on Windows 7.  I would like to have the images automatically copied to my hard drive, when I connect the camera.  When I connect the camera via USB, it shows fine in portable devices.  The problem is that the path is Computer\Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi.  I can't get any third-party software to recognize as a path valid (because it does not begin with something like F:\), I can find no way to get Windows 7 to assign a drive letter to the camera directly.

Is it possible to assign a drive letter to the camera or get a third-party software to recognize Computer\Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi as valid a path?

  • drive q is missing

Hello.  I uninstalled Google Chrome. After that, I noticed my Q supplied reader OEM with Office Starter 2010 Microsoft - a virtual drive, disappeared ' "when I'm in 'computer '.

I know that Microsoft has published articles saying that the reader can go intermittently missing sometimes support (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2257628?wa=wsignin1.0)

Yet, any time that happens - my drive Q disappears, it's because of a BAD uninstall or install.

so I checked to see if any Google Chrome has been left in the computer.  In the Local folder, I see a google update setup.exe (in applications).  I got to it.

but I would like as my computer run normally.

I checked the registry and the only place where I can find 'google' is in the local machine/software/policies.

I right click on 'computer' and then 'manage' and I see 3 zones in disk management: recovery, CSOS, and one that had no name or title except that, in columns to the right of the list, he says "oem partition" - I guess it is the reader q. and he says that it is "healthy".

so, should I remove the Google file in the Local folder?  should I leave him alone?

and how to get back my Q drive? and visible?

There is no tool that Google offers to clean uninstall Uninstall.  I used Microsoft fixit and it doesn't have the google list on the list of programs to uninstall.

I am so at a loss for what to do. the last time this happened I had to uninstall Microsoft office because of a bad installation.  and once installed correctly, the drive Q is back.

but now, it of a bad UNISTALL, so how can I repair the disk missing q?

    Thank you.

    Hi Linda,.

Thank you for the update on the question and sorry for a delayed response.

As you mentioned that your Drive Q is back after removing one of the update. There might be a chance that particular update modifies some settings on your computer, and as soon as it is uninstalled, it returned.

I suggested you to change the drive letter and check because some time after changing the drive letter, if it's there in disk management in the file Explorer starts. These steps is also used to assign a drive letter if it has not been assigned any.

In addition, you can check the question in the new user profile and see whether or not Q Drive shows in the new user profile.

If you create the new user account, nothing will be lost, is that the thing that it would be in the other account that you are currently using. However create new user account is a diagnostic stage, if everything works well in the new user account, we can easily move the files and programs for the new user account.

So, for now please try to create the new user account as an administrator from the link provided below. Make sure that you follow the steps listed under create a Local account.

Hope the information is useful. Let us know if you have any questions more associated with Windows.

    Kind regards

  • After using a third party partition manager program left to extend my Windows 8 partition, the system of Windows 8 start to a black screen and Windows 8 partition of the drive letter has changed

Original title: problems of Windows 8

I have Windows 7 (32 bit) and Windows 8 (64-bit) is installed in a dual boot. I tried to extend the partition of Windows 8 with a third party partition manager. Subsequently, I restarted after having learned so much.

Later, the first thing I saw was that the locked screen image is replaced by a blue color. Photos of the user are also missing. Once connected, it took a long time for windows everything ready, and I'm stuck in a black screen with the mouse pointer.

I entered in Safe Mode and found that the drive for Windows 8 letter has been changed (C: = Windows 7;) D: = recovery partition; E: = Windows 8, new drive letter; F: = Windows 8, old drive letter), I tried to change the drive letter, but it does not work.

Partition of Windows 7 works well (it is what I currently use to put this problem), and I can access the data in the partition of Windows 8. I tried the methods of different repair without result (such as chkdsk and sfc/scannow).

Can someone help me with this please? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I understand that you have a problem of black screen with Windows 8 and the drive letter for the partition of Windows 8 is also changed. This problem is due to the use of the third party partition manager program because it affects the registry files and causes the instability of the system.

Try to run auto repair from the Windows recovery environment and check if that helps.

Method 1: start the recovery environment with installation of Windows 8 media.

It is another way to boot the PC and launch recovery tools when something goes wrong with the operating system.

Please follow the steps below. Insert the DVD to install Windows 8 on DVD-ROM and restart your computer.

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting to Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) click Auto repair of Advanced Options screen.

    (g) following, choose the operating system by clicking on its button.

    (h) Windows 8 will be looking for problems on the hard drives and verify that all required files are intact.

Method 2: Run the restoration of the system of the Advanced Options screen.

System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state, quickly and easily without losing any of your files and personal settings. Sometimes when you install programs or drivers, they can affect some system settings and prevent other programs to function properly. You can use system restore to restore these settings to their previous state

    Follow these steps:

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting from the Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) select System restore.

After the system restore your documents and files will always remain to their previous state.

If you do not install Windows 8 media, I suggest you connect to any other computer and create a floppy disk to install Windows 8. Using this disk, you can run the troubleshooting provided methods.

How to create the installation media for a PC refresh or reset:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

You can also try the same steps using the bootable USB key. You must select USB as the first boot to the BIOS device.

Note: Microsoft don't recommend any third-party partition manager program because it corrupts the registry files and cause the instability of the system.

Write to us if you're still having problems. We will help you.

    Kind regards

  • How can I correct the wrong drive letter in the Collections only - no files?

I moved my Lightroom Catalog from another computer. All my files are correct, but my Collections records point to a drive letter does not exist, and I get the error that there are duplicates.

How can I fix the drive letter in the Collections only? Find all missing Photos does not work because it applies only to folders and files have the correct drive letter.

    Charles

I think the best thing to do is to copy the old catalog of the any file to the new computer and place it in its own nine empty folder. Then change in Windows, the drive letters E on the new computer becomes G (as it was on the old computer). Then double-click the Lightroom from the old computer catalog to open it, and everything should be good.
