• VI server between 2 screws in 2 different projects

  Hello!

  I have a VI (referred as "T_FANUC.vi" in the example), which is part of "TETRA.lvproj". This VI is called by a main VI and works up to this Main.vi nearby.

  I did another project named Supervision.lvproj and created a VI named "Simulation Robot.vi" (VI attached to this post). I am using VI server to get/set the values of control of "T_FANUC.vi". But the node property Server VI 'Exec. State"still sees"T_FANUC.vi"as inactive, even if it goes...

  However if "T_FANUC" is placed in the same project as "Simulation Robot.vi", it works very well...

  But the project rest w/LV 8.5.1 and running on the same computer.

  Is it not possible to use a server VI between two screws in two different projects?

  I enclose a simple model of how call a VI a VI in a different project.  The server settings VI of the calling (Supervision) does not matter in this case, but the project called (TETRA) must configure access VI server on a port that is not already in use.

  No, not of RoboSource Control.

  If you click Display > pods > Resource Manager, you should see the pop open the resource manager. From there, you are able to create a place that would be 'shared' between projects or authors.

• Using the modules of different projects

  I try to reuse the existing modules of different projects to compile in another new project, but it simply doesn't!

  I have 2 projects with the following modules in them:

  Project: MyModuleProjA1, MyModuleProjA2, MyModuleProjA3

  Project b: MyModuleProjB1, MyModuleProjB2, MyModuleProjB3

  Now, I created a new project called project c, in which I want to use MyModuleProjA2 and MyModuleProjB3 as well as a new module that belongs to this alone, that would be MyModuleProjC1.

  First I tried directly to copy the folder bin-debug the project MyModuleProjA2.swf has and of MyModuleProjB3.swf from the project b bin-debug folder, in bin-debug the project c, but when I ran file main application of Project c, he throwed hell lots of runtime errors, without even loading the initial screen. It was all black.

  I wonder if there is another way to compile?

  I tried searching on the net, who speaks like - link-report = lnkreport.xml - compiler options, charge-externs=lnkreport.xml,-garder-tous-type-seectors = true, - allow-source-path-to overlap = true. But nothing has worked yet (or I'm not using the right way?)

  Basic idea is to reuse the code base instead of duplicating those modules in c. Since there will be a lot of changes\enhancements to these modules, I don't want to encode in two locations all the time want to just maintain the code of the modules in one place and reusing just it is swf in other projects.

  I use Adobe Flash Builder 4.6, but project SDK is A 3.6.

  Well, I'm not familiar with Maven yet.

  I solved it by changing the module setting to "do not optimize" and resused in my other projects. I think it would be a little bigger in file size it would have been if I had optimized. But it's okay for me...

• Aggregator seems to randomize questions of different project files work

  I am using Captivate 5.5.

  I created 10 quizzes, each in its own project of captivate.  Each project has its own quiz ID and question slides are randomly using a single tank.   "When I publish each file of the captivate project, Serge (swf file), the questions are very good.

  However, when I combine all the 10 files in a global project, I get questions quiz on different project files... and the title slide does not even match the slide for this quiz!  For example, after the aggregation of project folder, my quiz Ch 2 would contain various chapters... question slides and the

  the title slide is not even chapter for that matter.

  When you use Question Pools, SWF files for pools are external to the SWF.  Filenames for question pools are drawn from what you called the pool, with the _CQP of letters on the end.

  When you use aggregator, all SWF files for each project aggregated file are placed in the same folder.  Each project is not kept isolated in it's own folder.

  So if one of your pools in question happen to have the same name, they can replace another aggregator compiles in the same folder.

  Return to your project and make sure that first give each published project file a unique name.  Then add the name of each pool of issue with some additional letters which differentiate the pool similar to any of the other projects.  And then republish all new and build another associate from scratch version.  See if that solves the problem.

• The fusion of different files in a project.

  Hi, I'm actually merge the 6 separate files into one. 3 are essentially .ppt slides with animation, 2 are interactive demonstrations and 1 is a quiz game. Due to the size of the screen of the software that I capture, interactive demos are at a different size than the .ppt slides. I thought to set a link to open the 2 events in a new window, but have not been able to make this work again. Also, an event is published as a SWF file, while the others are HTML5.

  If you have any suggestions on the best way to go forward with this (and successful!), I would be grateful. I am using Captivate 6.0.0.199.

  You always use the first version of 6, which was really buggy. Please update as soon as POSSIBLE to the version ending on 240, update is free and is released in October 2012.

  If you want quality you better create everything in the same resolution that you want when you publish. PPT is very weird, because you can not choose a resolution, the size is made in printing (in cm) units instead of units of the screen (pixels). I never understood that MS logical at all, be me.

  You can resize the slide (change, scale) but be prepared to be quality loss, especially if you want high-end because CP is all about bitmap. There are several options when scaling.

  Because you use several versions of LabVIEW, go with the packages.

  The project libraries are stored in a specific version of LabVIEW.  So if someone registers in 2014, you can't use it in 2013.

  If you use packet, then you have a core library that is 'installed' for a specific version of LabVIEW.  Each version of LabVIEW can have its own installation of this package.

• The code works is not in overall models of different projects

  On a traditional white project, the code below works... I am able to get my joystick readings. However, when I try to run the same code on a model of myRIO, code never gets to run due to the error-363031 (from to highlight execution).

  Thank you all for the advice. I tried to hide the slides, but that process has not revealed my bad slide - I hid all the new slides a lot who have been included in an earlier version that still works well, but my problem persists. I finished copy new landslides and stocks one by one in my old file and test publish/notice to each addition. Everything works fine now. I can only assume that my incorrect file has been corrupted by something along the way.

  Frustrating and it cost me a day's work, but at least the project has been recovered.

  You're right that you can only call another project published in the same window is running in a browser.

  Exe open like automatic execution of players who play only one thing, not as browsers that can be used to navigate to a different content and read it.  So the 'window' as such is not something you can call other projects in.

  I thought to create a master project containing all the tests of A, B, C,... in auto-complete files but: 1) auto-complete files must be added manually and I would have a general solution; (2) auto fill records appear to be buggy or at least that they do is refresh as expected; in any case, 1) already is a show-stopper.

• How can I paste the attributes of the clips in a single project to clips in a different project?

  I have finished a project and I'm working on a new.  I have a lot of attributes for clips in the original project I want to copy and paste clips into the new project.  If I could have the two projects open at the same time, this world will not be easy.  But I understand that I can't have both projects open at the same time.
