  • Today, we use an external CSS file for the layout, typography and other styles.

• With the help of several styles of paragraph in a table cell

  I'm stuck using several styles of paragraph within a cell. I guess the solution is that I need to start a new paragraph, but so far I have not found a way to do it. When I directly in InDesign, it works fine, but I can not start a new paragraph when you use the script.

  Here's a solution I've tried:

  It is therefore quite clear my script is not adding a new paragraph. Any ideas how to get a new paragraph so I can use more than one paragraph style?

  I don't have test nore debug your code, but I suggest you another method to apply the content and style of two paragraphs. Do not use a with statement.

  What is your version of InDesign?

• Sheet excellent 'text data' missing in imported cells of a link.

  I hope I'm explaining this correctly. Here it goes:

  I have an Excel workbook that has a large amount of data, calculation of many different things. Due to the size of the data, there is not a skillful means to highlight all the data of the particular journal in the InDesign document.

  What I have done, is I created another (Sheet2) sheet in Excel and have completed the Sheet2 worksheet via functions - as in I've seized the '=' sign in a selected cell to Sheet2 and then returned in Sheet1, selected the appropriate cell data I want to show in Sheet2 and press ENTER. Excel then takes me back to Sheet2 showing me everything that was in the cell of data on Sheet1. It's pretty basic things. This method works.

  My question is, when you place the Excel sheet (Sheet2) in InDesign in a linked file, comes from all the data that are based on text in the blank InDesign document. All data that are focused on the digitally appear fine.

  What is a math problem? As in, the formula used in the sheet Sheet2 "= ABC" to get the text of "Sheet1" data, is not reading text of the 'ABC' but rather of Fx = A * B * C and tries to solve a math problem? And because he can't make sense the formula it do not put anything in? Is there something I have to put in, after the sign '='? I tried "= text (subject!" B87)"and, but I still get empty cells when you import into InDesign.

  Please save me.

  This is not the behavior, I expect to see, but in fact you're right:

  • In certain circumstances, the Excel data is erased from the field and a blank cell appears at the place when you put Excel data into InDesign.

  By default, InDesign will import data into a table not formatted Excel, and if this parameter is used in fact I see the text disappear cells as you see.

  A workaround for the problem solution:

  • Choose file > place, select Show Import Options, click Select file and click Open
  • In the Microsoft Excel Import Options dialog box, choose two tables: formatting once only, or a Table: table updated in the form in the section formatting.
  • Click OK.

  In this case, the text appears in the table cells in the tests that I made.

  so I made a table for the text and I lined it and the text is in Nice does not exceed the limits of the table cells. I previes in firefox it looks fine, but when I previsualisez in safari the boxes look like they grew up, while the text is placed in boxes, it's not supposed to. • FM7.2: Problems with frame anchored in the rotated table cell

  Hello O Experts,

  I am facing a nasty problem with FrameMaker 7.2 for Windows with frames embedded in rotated table cells. I was wondering if any of you have seen this problem and know how to solve.

  The problem is reproduced as follows:

  1 create a table.

  2. Add a small frame anchored "the point insertion" inside one of the cells.

  3. Add a line of text to the anchored frame.

  4 turn the cell by 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise.

  Up to step 3, the anchored frame and the line of text behave as expected. Can I choose both the frame and the text line, move and resize. In all cases, they are displayed correctly.

  After step 4, the following occurs:

  • The content of the anchored image appear or is badly distorted.
  • Is no longer, I can select or resize the anchored frame (if I try, FM acts irregularly and wildly moves the outline around the page).
  • I can choose is no longer the line of text in the frame.

  I enclose a file FM (created using integrated model "portrait" of FM) sample that illustrates the problem.

  If someone knows this problem and I hope a solution, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd share. Thank you very much!

  If you turn just the anchored frame itself and not the cell (content) then everything behaves. If you have lots of content for the anchored frame, then place a block of text in the anchored frame, use a suitable paratag in text and only turn the framework anchored (all content will follow along then).

• V DW3: Make a model that fits in a table cell?

  I have a long-standing website which has grown a lot over time. I have the "main Menu" on each page. whenever there is a change for her, I have to cut ' n paste it in all the pages and republish all pages.

  I created a template of main menu which is supposed to fit into a table cell on each page. However, when I "Edit/models/Apply template", it fills the entire width of the screen (it looks like the page of the entire model, not just the table wide 220px). This, of course, not what I need.

  I made the Menu in a library item and who does not work BUT this inserts them content of the library item every page I'm back to republish all the pages.

  Is there a way I can use a model so that I can change the main Menu and only need to republish the page template?

  I'm sure it's something super simple, but I can't see what it is. I'm working in Dreamweaver CS3, but having to modify the code by hand, because the code is not validated I fight to clean up the last error on this page before applying the model it is based on the rest of my site...

  You seem to be sensational. The CSS validator is another object of value
  tool: http://jigsaw.w3.org . I suspect this first error to main.css is
  the incorrect syntax used here:

  background-image: {"url... / Images/CellBG1sm.jpg";}
  ' background-repeat: repeat;
  }

  Go ahead and remove this rule completely.

  For an inline style, try this:

  When I look at my page in Dreamweaver, the top of my table cells are approximately 248 pixels in width, but when the page is displayed on the web, they are out of alignment. I wish I could lock each cell of the table, so it does not move.

• Problem with HTML table cell attributes

  Hi all
  
  I created an item displayed on the zero page in my application. The value of the source of the display value is 'SYSTEM TEST'. In HTML table cell attributes, I saw the font color = 'blue' to display "TEST SYSTEM" in blue.
  It shows in the blue html tags but displays as below:
  
  colspan = "1" rowspan = "1" align = "left" > SYSTEM of TEST

  Put the following in the attributes of HTML form elements:

  style="font-weight:bold;color:darkblue"
  

  and it appears correctly. The type of the element is "display text (does not save the State).
