Fusion takes over my USB speakers and don't give them back!

I use VMware Fusion on OS X and Windows Vista.  I have a pair of Harmon Kardon Soundsticks connected via USB.  I have activated their merger via the menu "settings".  The merger is able to use them to read audio data.  So far so good.

However, when I left the audio for OS X by default Fusion to the internal speaker.  What more, when I go into Preferences system & gt; His, I don't see that the output listed in the tab Soundsticks Harmon more.  It is as if the Fusion 'hijacked' them and returns to OS X.

I tried to unplug the USB dongle and in plugging it back.  Does not work.  Tried to disconnect and rear connection.  Does not work.  The only thing that solved the problem is to reboot.  Of course, it is a pain.

Is this a known problem or there at - it a setting I can use to fix?

A USB device can be directly controlled only by an operating system at a time so if, when you say "when I leave Fusion...". "is stop Virtual Machine target, not suspended, in the guest before quiting OS merger or you're just quiting Fusion and allowing the virtual machine will not target?  If the latter you must eject the USB device in question since the icon remove the device safely in the Notification area of the taskbar, and then disconnect the virtual computer target USB device from the USB icon on the status bar of the Virtual Machine of the target or the Virtual Machine > menu USB before to stop or suspend the Virtual Machine and or quiting merger.
