  • G560 Upgrade (CPU, GPU)

    Hello

    I have a Lenovo G560 Intel Core i3 - 330 M processor with an nVidia GeForce 310 M, 4 GB of RAM.

Is there a list of CPUs, I use (favorite i5)?

Is it possible to upgrade the GPU too?

    Thank you very much!

    Nice day.

Please take a look at page 74 of the manual of your equipment:

    http://download.Lenovo.com/userfiles/Userguide/en/user%27s%20guides%20and%20Manuals/G460-G560/Lenovo...

Article #9 lists the processors usually configured in this machine.

On the GPU, while it is considered as discreet, it is soldered to the system board. Therefore, it is not extensible.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards.

  • Latest driver Nvidia for G560 does not install!

    Hello

I tried to install the latest driver nvidia for my G560. But it seems that the only factor working on this system is the pre-installed driver from Lenovo.

I always get the message that the driver cannot find the necessary material. I downloaded the good (Win 7 64 bit) and latest page Web Nvidias driver. I even tried a few older drivers of archive of drivers.

Anyone have an idea how I can solve my problem?

    Greetings Cpk83

I just installed a new Bios I downloaded here:

New Nvidia driver installation now works great!

    Thanks Lenovo!

  • G560: confusion

Hello everyone. I have a Lenovo G560 and recently wanted to play games on it. Being a fan of FPS, I had heard good things about the Crysis series, so I decided to buy the Crysis Maximum Edition. Is not not a PC gamer experience, because the game has happened here I realized that my level of GHz is 2.0 (I think with two processors?). The level required to play the game is 3.2 GHz (according to the box with Windows Vista). I have increased my virtual memory a bit and it helped, but the gameplay is still extremely choppy (visually). The problem is not the RAM, as I have 4 GB of RAM.

After some research, I decided that I wanted to overclock my processor in order to play the game. Now, I'm having a problem of location of the BIOS. I found what appears to be the BIOS, but it does not give me the opportunity to resolve a large part of what. I tried several ways to access the BIOS (held F1, pressing almost any F_ when started) and have had little success. I also installed updated drivers (don't ask I don't remember all, but one of them was the BIOS). Can someone tell me please how to access my BIOS and overclock my processor? If not, is there another way to increase your GHz without replacing your CPU?

P.S. Any employee of Lenovo: I am aware that overclocking voids my warranty.

The problem is that computers laptops in general are not good gaming platforms. Laptops more simply not to let the possibility of replacing the CPU or the graphics chipset. They are almost always embedded on the motherboard. The exception would be portable which are expensive and offer more flexibility. Drop your quality of sweet graphics and live with the result, or buy a system that has the necessary equipment to run games like Crysis. As a player, you really should do more research before buying your laptop.

I got all the screws I could find and couldn't get off the keyboard cover to access the screws of touchpad. I had it partially open but on the top of the left side of the keyboard on the something function keys still held the components together. I didn't get any harder in fear of breaking the case.

  • Lenovo G560 keyboard works do not at all

Keyboard laptop Lenovo G560 of my brother stopped working really suddenly, he was trying to connect to Facebook; When he went to type his password, nothing on the keyboard worked.

What could possibly be the cause? We rebooted, tried to start in safe mode (which was not possible as the arrows were not working), he managed to connect to his computer with keyboard on screen and has the guy over there at the moment, that's why I present this post.

If you have ideas on how we could solve this problem; Please let me know!

    Thank you very much.

P.S. Just to be clear... NONE of the keys are working at ALL. The pad touch and left and right, click work, the power button works, but that's all.

It seems that your keyboard is dead. Contact lenovo helpline for free replacement if you have a valid warranty.

  • Lenovo G560 Bluetooth problem

Hello! I have a laptop Lenovo G560 with Windows 7 64 bit and I can't use my bluetooth device.

I downloaded the drivers from consumersupport.lenovo.com, I instaled them, but the device does not work.

Also, I downloaded the energy management tools and the shortcut key, but here, everything seems ok.

In Device Manager, the bluetooth adapter and bluetooth enumerator appear to be installed corectly, but there are 5 elements called peripheral Bluetooth not installed (I can not update the driver in the list of the drivers installed on my machine, and another driver does not exist). Please see also the Manager of peripherals and Fn + F5, I can use any function menu Bluetooth of the tasksbar ('show bluetooth devices' returns nothing, 'add a device' can not find anything, 'open settings' does work not etc.).

In conclusion, I don't know what the problem is, and I strongly need help.

Also, I need a full sheet of the device bluetooth (for an app I want to develop). I searched the pages of technical support from Lenovo and Broadcom (the manufacturer of the bluetooth device) and I can't find anything in the details (only "commercial" specifications). Do you have any ideas where I can find this information?

    Thanks for your replies!

P.S Sorry for my bad English

I tried all those things. Does not.

I had reinstalled the operating system and drivers. All the problems are now fixed.

    Thanks for your replies!

    Sincerely, Jimmy

  • Lenovo G560 cannot get Windows 7 SP1 via Windows Update

My laptop Lenovo G560, running Windows 7 Home Basic Edition does not have the ability to download Windows 7 SP1 from Windows Update. What could be the problem? Everyone knows this? What is the solution? I had the laptop for almost two years.

    Stud says:

See my post on this page if you have not resolved your problem - it's almost certainly because of the Intel graphics driver.

I decided today, after almost two years, to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. As a result, I've updated to Windows 7 Professional SP1.

Now, I'm looking for the display drivers for my Lenovo G560. In Device Manager, the driver is showing as generic PnP.

  • G560 - network disconnected after waking up from hibernation

During the last two days, my laptop Lenovo G560 (running Windows 7, 64-bit, BIOS 2.10) has had problems with its (wired) network card after waking from hibernation. It is shown as disconnected (even as if the cable was physically detached). The only big change I played in the last few days has been installed Service Pack 1. However, the problem only appeared about two days after, so I don't know if this is related at all.

In this case, IPCONFIG shows the following for the NETWORK card:

Ethernet connection to the Local network card:

State of the media...: Media disconnected

    If I try IPCONFIG/renew, I get

    Windows IP configuration

No operations can be performed on the connection to the Local network, although it has its media disconnected.

Hovering over the said tray icon "not connected". Troubleshooting of course can't find anything. Also, there is no weird in event viewer entries (unless they are hidden somewhere in other modes). Basically, the behavior is identical to when the network cable is physically disconnected (disconnected).

In addition, disconnect the network cable, wait a few minutes and in him plugging back again once does nothing.

For now, I have two workaround solutions:

    -system reboot

-right click on the connection to the Local network (in network connections), select DISABLE from the menu, wait a few moments and then choosing the option ENABLE on the shortcut menu.

Is there a better solution to this? Speculation on what might be the reason for this problem all of a sudden?

Right click on my computer > manage > device management > network cards > select wireless adapter > properties > under power management tab, clear the check box to be able to save "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Restart your computer and check if it works.

Please post back with the results.
