G9 remote shutter release

I have a Canon Powershot G9 and I would like to be able to trigger the camera remotely using a wireless remote control.

There is no (apparent) plug to allow me access to this function

The mini - USB port (under the digital 'AV Out' flap) allow me in control of the camera.

Any thoughts?

Thank you for this - as much as I had feared.

Was hoping to use the G9 into a kite!

It is a good weight and reasonable goal.

I guess there is always the possibility of some sort of physical remote trigger that makes "push the button!"

But it seems not very elegant, t - it?

    This device is not compatible with the IR remote control.

  • For widget remote shutter release

    Hello

    I need a line of code that will get the "graphic style name" of an object (one that is in my muse scene) and do, it triggers the opening of my weight. "

    In other words of remote trigger.

    For me this has proved to be an impossible mission, can someone help me?

    Best,

    PIM

    It is possible, I bought this qooqee.com widget:

    http://www.qooqee.com/Muse-widgets/smart-popup/

    And as you can see that this is exactly what, I have yet to post my page to see it working.

    Does anyone know how it works?

  • EOS Rebel T6 - remote wireless shutter release

    Community salvation of canon,

    I'm looking for the remote control for the base EOS Rebel T6 wireless.  Everything I find says that I am unable to since there is no IR sensor on the camera.  Does anyone know of a work around for this issue?  Is that I can connect to internal wireless?

    Or if there is a good option for a wired remote which has a 10-15 ft span?

    Thank you so mcuh.

    Rob

    The rebels T6 is the most basic Canon DSLR entry level.  It lacks some features and some accessories of many people may be acquired, but it reduces the sale price.  A wireless remote is one of the few these details.

    There are third-party remotes available from companies like Vello.  I would advise to order online with a merchant of good reputation as a & B H Photo Video.  They have the best customer service around.  They also have specialists who really KNOW the train, who can help you select the best for your needs.

  • How can I turn off the sound of the camera shutter release?

    Hello

    I tried to silence the camera shutter sound of my new Moto G without success. Even if the phone is completely silent in its settings, and the sound pane is set to off in the camera application, the sound of the shutter still happens rather loudly. It is a problem because I work in a quiet environment and I need to take photos of business cards.

    Any ideas?

    The phone was purchased on the site of Motorola and the Global GSM version runs Kitkat 4.4.2.

    Thank you

  • How can I get update AF light to appear in the eyepiece, when I press the shutter release to halfway?

    The development AF indicator appears when I press the command AF-ON button on the back of my 70 EOS D camera, but not when I press the shutter button to halfway.  How to do the update lignt on the eyepiece turn on when I press the shutter button to half way down?

    You must go to the menu AF & re assign AF for the shutter button. It can be set to one or the other. (back button)

  • problem with shutter release when button pressed

    Hi all
    When I'm doing a commit_form when-pressed shutter button, another window will appear

    Save button(When-button-pressed) relaxation
    coomit_form;
    So, when I press button Save when there is no change, then another (advanced search) window appears as soon as I click the button Save. Can someone explain to me what is really wrong.

    Any help is appreciated,
    Thanks in advance!

    In the RHCCUSTDET block, I'm saving database details. So, if I put this block as a block of data non-base will be how to save data in back-end?

    My details form:

    Header block 1)
    --> 2 pieces of text (customer name, customer number)
    --> 3 buttons (Find, advanced, clear)
    (2) retail block (data backed up past in the backend)
    --> Customer details...
    --> A save button in the footer
    (3) advanced search block
    --> 4, more search fields of criteria other than the customer name and customer number.

    So now the problem is when I search advanced search block and come to block in detail and to record the details, advanced search opens upward... tried to save from applications menu also (same effect)

    Block, who are at the advanced search window?
    And this problem happened only if your advance search sage only, other window not?

    Check this, if you aren't a database block your block of windows advanced search, you can try to clear the value of the fields before validation;

    Why you use two window instead of two canvas? Two canvas is not sufficient for the needs of You ' r?

    Hope that something you will get.

  • Commit_form creating problem with shutter release once - new - Record - Instance

    Hello friends,

    I use Oracle forms 6i. I have a block of multiple data. I wrote commit_form in a times-news-record-instance of the data block. When I run the form on my instance the form does not open.

    But when I comment on this code, the form opens to the instance. What could be the problem?

    Also is it a condition that I can specify if the block of the data set is null when I open the form?

    Hello...

    In When-new-folder-Instance, check if the lock status is NEW. If not, then just apply COMMIT_FORM;

    Try this code in your trigger

    IF: SYSTEM. BLOCK_STATUS = 'CHANGE '.

    THEN

    COMMIT_FORM;

    END IF;

    Should work for you.

    Thank you...

  • T6 IR remote?

    Received a T6 digital SLR kit for a trip. Camera and objectives are functioning as they should, but it came with an infrared remote shutter release. I can't find a setting on the camera to enable it. The T6 has an infrared sensor and if so, how do I turn it on?

    According to the picture in the manual, there is no mention of an infrared sensor, which should be on the front.

    The manual applies only to a Canon wired switch RS-60E3.  I would ask the people who sold the use.  The only way that I know would be if you had an infrared sensor that plugged into the remote control Terminal, like the wired remote would be.

  • using a remote trigger cable usb or hdmi?

    Any device that would activate a remote shutter release cable usb or hdmi?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Canon lists not all accessories for the SX600 remote shutter release on their website or in the owner's manual. I've found other manufacturers one or the other. As a general rule, the higher end cameras are those with capabilities of remote shutter release, such as the series of G and the DSLR. I suggest to use the timer for the moment, and maybe someone can have a configuration that might work for you.

  • I want to do an exhibition of 30 sec on my EOS600 Rebel T3i, using a remote control.

    The manual says to put it under the light bulb.  Last year, I just did an exhibition of 30 sec without the remote control.  I am trying to determine if the remote control supplied with the camera does not work (Zeikos ZE-WRC6, I changed the battery has not also available) or I'm doing something wrong.  The manual says to put the ios in the bulb setting.  That makes no sense to me.  The remote should not work on any setting?

    Should I buy a new remote control or am I not understanding something or something wrong?

    Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.  [In the 'old days', I just plugged the release cable on my 35mm.]

    I'm shooting Northern Lights, BTW.

    The remote control only works in the position of 10-second self-timer, but this isn't a problem because the answer is instantaneous, not 10 seconds, when you use the remote shutter release.

  • 600ex trigger with an another ST - E3 with a ST - E3

    Hello

    I am two 600ex-rt and two st - e3.

    with 2 st - e3, I know that I can trigger the 3 5 to take the picture wireless using a st - e3 on the 5 d 3 and hand holding the other st - e3. with this configuration in mind, can I also trigger a 600ex-rt to trigger too with the click of the shutter on the 5 d 3?

    Thank you

    Scott

    I just did a quick test... I do not have a ST-E3-RT so I had to do so because of a couple of 600EX-RTs.

    BUT... I used one on the camera of the RT-600EX as the master.  Then, I used a 2nd 600EX-RT as a slave and used the trigger on the slave.

    The slave said the captain to the fire, the master then tells the camera to take the picture and all plays as if I had used the shutter of the camera the camera makes all the stuff of E - TTL II (count & pre flash metering, power levels of all on the strobes and then takes the hit).  The two flashes of fire.

    If its allure for me than the distant light can do the same thing by pressing the shutter button on the camera.

    The camera will usually need to focus before in this case, so I have previously focused on the 5 d III and then put the lens in manual focus mode so that the focus would not be a problem.

    BTW, in the case where any who which _not_ own a 5 D III (or a camera made in 2012 or after) reads this... it will not work with any Canon camera.  The new cameras has the ability to communicate with these new radio-triggered flashes through the hot-shote.  I have a 5 d II, for example and it will work _not_ via the hoof on a 5 d II, but Canon made an accessory cable.  The flashes 600EX-RT actually have a record on them which connects to the output port wired remote shutter release on the older cameras camera body.  I tested the ability of remote shooting with my 5 d II (using the cable) and it works.

  • The help of tripod and photos are slightly in different positions

    Hello world

    I worked with a Canon 60 d and a Canon 18-135mm. When I need inside photography and need different exposures, I measure the light into different areas and put my camera on a tripod, to the point where I want to turn off the autofocus. I take a picture, then I only change the speed and take the second. I don't know why, but the second picture is a little different, just a few milimiters changed relatively to the first position in the photo. I'm doing something wrong? I've been Googling it but found nothing. This goal is 4 years old. Is it possible that is due to the wear of the lens?

    Try to use a remote shutter release and use "exposure bracketing" the camera so you don't have to touch the camera between shots.

  • Sony Cyber - shot DSC - H2 shutter button

    The shutter button was broken and fell out. How can I replace it? Thank you.

    The DSC - H2 and H5 have a serious design flaw, shutter button positions are about 1/32 of an inch thick and break ALL THE TIME. Don't waste your money buy another one from Sony for $25 + because it will break again.

    You want an aluminum pole so that it will NEVER break again! Sony does not sell them, and won't admit that there is a problem with the design of the camera. They will charge you $171 to fix the camera if you want to send to them well! Not a very good deal if you ask me.

    The only place to get a position of massive aluminium shutter release button comes from the Darntoothysam.com and the full package of repair is only $70 if you want to send in for repair.

    $25 for the same position in plastic that has already erupted, or $25 for a solid aluminium with a lifetime warranty that it will never break again?

  • Remote Camera Control (RCC) & intervalometer A7

    1. why RCC software developed only for laptops? Who wants to carry laptop to the field? It is not practical at all.  Please make it work with mobile devices: phones, tablets. Which means he has to work with Android and iOS.

    2. the application of time is nice, but it does not work for bulb mode. If the user wants to take more than 30 seconds, for example, star trail, this app is useless.  And the shutter release sold by Sony which cannot either.  Please include in the next firmeware update.  I think Nikon has done that Sony should too.  Don't make users feel regret the purchase of Sony product, in this case, A7.

    Thank you very much.

    P

    I installed the app, but again, he can't pull anything more than 30 years, so it does not help with the bulb mode.
