Gadget weather has stopped working

my weather gadget has stopped working recently. Now when I try to restart it quickly shows the time and then it disappears and it says "service not available" all of the gadgets seem to work well.

Hello

It could be a temporary problem on the weather site that it accesses.

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Run DiskCleanup - start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

Start - type in the search box - find command top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

User 2. Gadgets weather & currency used to work but stopped recently, with the message "unable to connect to the service.

I've seen several fixes such as deleting a file 'settings.ini' sidebar or by running the sfc/scannow utility. Has no effect.

I also tried to disable the functionality of Windows, and then turn.

I even tried to replace the files in directories user 2 Sidebar/Cache with the exploitation of user 1, no luck.

I also saw about Microsoft after you turn off this feature for security reasons.

However, if that's true then why the weather gadget still works for user 1, even after deletion/re-add/change of place, etc.. It seems unaffected.

It seems that it is something in user 2 settings (although nothing has been knowingly changed).

  • Gadgets Windows has Stopped Working - constant crash after downloading third-party gadget

So, I just installed windows 7 and I advanced and installed a third party gadget (pandora).  When I went to connect to my pandora account, he does the rest of my fall of gadgets.  Now, any time I try to delete a gadget or load one of them, I get a message that appears stating that the Windows Gadgets stopped working.  I can't understand how to remove a gadget without loading each of them.

Thank you very much for the suggestion that I had not thought of that.

What I ended up doing was a system restore, which fixed the problem beautifully.  I hope this helps anyone else with this problem :).

  • Weather gadget and currecny stopped working - failed to connect

    Hello:

I just noticed that my weather gadget and currency has stopped working today.  The only change on my computer was the Assistant to upgrade Windows 8 I used to download the new Windows 8.  I have not installed, just burn the ISO.  I tried to restore my computer to a previous point before that, but it still does not work.  All gadgets except for gadgets weather and currency.

Is there a setting that has been changed?  I tried turing off LAN and on, tried to turn off the function gadget and on again and nothing helped.  IE is set to work online also.  So, I don't know what happened.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

    Update:
Microsoft has DISABLED the weather gadgets and currency via a recent update of security, because of worries about the vulnerability associated with these gadgets running on your computer. You can read more here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2719662 . Adjust the settings of your computer and all these other 'suggestions' people are, will NOT work. The function has been REMOVED from the operating system. It has also been removed from Windows 8 operating system. There are "theorists" who agrees that there is a security problem in the gadgets or Microsoft just doesn't support gadgets (usually from third party software) and has therefore disabled them in Windows 7 and eliminated in Windows 8.

The standard weather app on my iphone 6 has stopped working.  It shows just my wallpaper grayed out when I try to access.  The app can be restarted or deleted and reloaded?  If so, how?

No, the soft part of the operating system, so it would mean reload the iOS together. Have you tried a forced reboot yet?

Close all open applications by double-clicking the home button, and then drag to the top of the application window until it disappears from the screen.

Reset your device: press and hold the home button and the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black, and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

It's good to hear. I have collected a number of more complex solutions proposed for this problem with the Google desktop gadgets and grouped into a command line (.) CMD batch file) that can run on any Windows 7 user with access to the administrative credentials (e.g. username and password).

If you want to try an automated process to repair your Google desktop gadgets, first create a restore point. I ran more than 30 times the script batch file on 3 different computers to Windows 7 with no ill effects, but I can't be responsible for your.

The file is on my SkyDrive. If you want to use it to repair your gadgets, Google desktop, or simply look at the batch file to your organization, click here. A complete list of the actions of the command used is available at the bottom of this post.

    Figure 1.0 - FixMyGadgets.cmd file on SkyDrive

Click on the document on the left to start your download. Select Save in the download file - security warning dialog box and save it on your desktop when the dialog box record under is displayed. This is a small file and should take more than a few seconds.

While you wait for a few seconds, close all running programs in order to have a blank desktop.

    Figure 1.1 - icon Desktop FixMyGadgets.cmd

When download is complete, look for the FixMyGadgets icon on your desktop and right click, then select run as administrator to obtain elevated privileges. Provide administrative credentials if requested. It cannot perform certain tasks without high Privileges.

Figure 1.2 - FixMyGadgets.cmd running in the Console window

When the batch file runs, it presents a chance to stop the automatic repair procedure. Press Ctrl + C and then confirm to stop the batch here or press another button to let the process go through.

When the process has traveled, read the connected. TXT file and note its location (or record under). While you should be able to immediately charge your Google desktop gadgets, I recommend you to restart the computer so that Windows can rebuild your default Internet Security Zones. When the computer restarts, you can immediately repopulate your Google desktop gadgets.

    List of commands FixMyGadgets

    1. Begins one. TXT file with the date and time
    2. Stop the sidebar.exe process
    3. Looking for a file Settings.old in the folder of the sidebar and deletes if found
    4. Renames the Settings.old sidebar Settings.ini
    5. Unregisters the two Sidebar. DLL
    6. Six re-enrolled. Dll, including the two previously unrecorded
    7. Questions key to registry areas Internet and record results
    8. Export Internet areas of the registry key to one. Reg file in the folder %TEMP%
    9. Deletes the registry areas Internet key (will reset to the default values by Windows when you restart)
    10. Restarts the sidebar.exe process
    11. Records the end time for the. TXT log file
    12. Note the location of the log file and launches into Notepad.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set
SEE drivers to hide Microsoft - update those without drain in their names. (Also
updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

How to stop Windows 7 automatically install drivers

Refer to these discussions because many more excellent advice however remember to check
your antivirus, the main drivers and BIOS update programs and also to solve problems
