The only effective solution is to reset the file preferences... it has been damaged by trying to create a catalog with the invalid jpeg.

The instructions to reset the catalog are here: given to zero (or "Screw up") the preferences of Lightroom - Lightroom Forums file

When you have done this, place you and double click on the correct catalog and LR should then start OK.

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the application?

If this is not the case, try the cleaning tool Acrobat Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs to remove Adobe application and restart the system.

- I never had Adobe patch to the continued work to get the error messages like above.
- In desperation, I just deleted everything that I could find on my computer relating to the APS CS3 and reinstalled using the original disk. Everything works fine now!

The second screen is relegated to never turn on and in the part 'View' of the Control Panel, I can't change the 2nd monitor resolution of anything in addition to 480 x 640. Delete the folder "Lightroom 5 catalog Previews.lrdata" and the folder "5 Lightroom Catalog Previews.lrdata Smart" and disconnected from my USB hub, but not my two external hard drives USB.

I import now.
