Games fps will be declining and the delay of the computer

Hey I'm running windows 7 Home premium on my Compaq Presario cq5320f and I have 2 GB of ddr3 ram and my processor is AMD Athlon II x 2 240 and my previous diet was 250 w, I upgraded to 600 w and I also put a GPU inside the PNY GTX 750 so my problem was that I was getting fps dips I don't know if it's the RAM the cause because there is only 2 GB I have play the game like bf3 on med to ultra setting same thing happens to bf4 and I that if she could possibly be bottle neck of my GPU or if it's a ram issue because I am running windows 7 64 bit so I need help on this, don't know if I should move the ram to 4 GB 8 GB because this Compaq Presario has only 2 slots of ram ddr3.

"so I'll get the 4 GB of fast ddr3 ram I can get."

Get the same speed than what you already have. There are several reasons for this, but

first of all, is controller of memory your motherboard (or possibly the CPU. I don't know if your cpu

is new enough to have built the memory controller) can not handle any speed RAM knock you out in it.

If you try to force a speed more than one level more than the card motherboard BIOS default

(maybe not even that) you will most likely get BSOD (higher speeds may require system overclocking, and you really want to go with this machine).

Second you will not see difference in the real world, even if the machine can use a higher speed.

"try to run windows and the game both at the same time.

Yes, an inevitable scenario, but do not avoid multi-tasking (narrow browsers, etc.) and have too many things running in the background - eg. Disable unnecessary programs from Starup via.

System configuration (msconfig > startup).

" " and really the game works well at 50 fps... and ends game like 10 FPS down every 10 seconds until '

A 10 fps drop should not be serious. However, doping below 25 fps would cause serious delay.
I can't offer any suggestions as to what your system RAM may work on stably. Support Compaq can help.

Or go with a new kit of 4 GB of the same brand, speed, latency, and voltage as you have already.

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards
    Amal-Microsoft Support.

  • My computer keeps showing random parts "suddenly stop working" and the computer needs to reboot - I think it's a virus.

I have a problem when occasionally and randomly my computer components apparently all of a sudden "stop working and must close ' which translates into my computer restart itself. This happens a lot, but I can not associate with any particular issue, as it changes each time. I think it's a virus, but nothing seems to be wrong, it's just the inconvenience. I had the computer more than a year and nothing wrong with it. The only other common thing is a program called "twonkymedia" seems to be on my pc and "must be closed", but I can't find anywhere to remove it.

It's driving me crazy now, as can happen at any time during the game, work or other passtimes of the computer.
