Hi guys, just a high school student I was wondering if you guys can help me pls on products would be to make my game better experience (which can make me play1980x1080 with medium-high settings and do SPFP higher resolution). There has been suggestions where I should buy GeForce GT 430 and a power supply Corsair 500W PC Power Supply (CMPSU-500CXV2) . Usually, I'd play on 1440 x 900 (30 fps) very low settings with games (LoL and tf2) that are not too hardcore. I have

    GPU dimensions: 5.8 x 0.7 x 4.3 inches; 8 ounces

Please give me your thoughts and your guides on which would be the best thing to do and buy. Thank you for your time!

    Toolayzie, welcome to the forum.

The video card you listed should work on your computer.  However, I suggest you contact Technical Support from the manufacturer for help to choose the best card for your situation.  They will be able to get you a card that will be much better.  I love EVGA products.  Their Technical Support (1-888-881-3842) is very good.  I believe that you can be able to upgrade to an EVGA GT 640.  They are a little hard to find, but worth the search.  Something more recent need UEFIin the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.

The power supply (PSU) you listed is fine.  However, I suggest that you look at a modular power supply.  They only connect the cables which are absolutely necessary for your components.  This allows better air circulation and reduces the heat in a medium-sized case.  You should compare the measurements of your current diet to one you choose.  Corsair is passionate about quality products with a reasonable price.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer.  You want one that provides a clean and stable power and Corsair does that very well.

Since you're a player, you would be blown away by the new games desktop and HP laptops.  I use a HP Omen gaming laptop.  It is as powerful as any game their computers.  I used both.

  • My computer redirects me to random pages and turn my CPU at 100%... I think that his "ping.exe".can someone help?

    Original title: ping.exe

I have something on my computer that redirects me to random pages and runs my CPU at 100%... I think that his "ping.exe".can someone help?

    MalwareBytes's AntiMalware - no AntiVirus. ;-)

Probably your best bet - flatten (wipe) the system and start from scratch.  You will need your most recent backup (your stuff, like your documents, photos, music, video, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, bookmarks/Internet favorites, e-mail contacts, serial number, proof of purchase/receipts, that may have been scanned in, etc. and so on...) and a good list of installed software and hardware specifications (I suggest Belarc Advisor running on the current system and print the results if possible) then you can get the drivers before or after installation.

Of course, you will also need your multimedia installation product key/serial numbers and that go hand in hand.  In Windows XP - there is no way for me to know (without telling you) what level your installation CD is... so you will need to install the SP2 and SP3 after installing the operating system.  I would leave it disconnected from the Internet (physically) until it is at least SP3 and you have confirmed its firewall is enabled and, if possible, you have installed an antivirus application.

For you, I suggest the eSet 32 antivirus (not more) - which costs ~ $60 every two years for private users.  Add to that the MalwareBytes full package which costs, if I remember, ~ $25 for life.

Then, once the system * is * connected to the Internet (physically) - get hardware drivers installed for everything and the rest 100 + installed post-SP3 updates.  Then you can worry about all your other programs and restore your files LAST.

  • New Gaming computer doesn't let Me scroll

Then last Sunday (19/06/2016), I finished a few computer games of project office and used the operating system Windows 7 Professional. My current problem is that I can't use the scroll function of the scroll wheel on a mouse that I hang in there. Mainly, I am using a Cooler Master CMStorm Devastator gaming keyboard / mouse, with the lighting of the led on the mouse and the keyboard. My other mouse is a logitech wireless that I use on my old laptop. It works on the laptop as the gaming mouse. But it does not work on my new Tower. I can focus click and move the mouse so that it can page up and down on google chrome, but that doesn't help me in video games that almost require the need for scrolling. I can provide more information on request if necessary.

UPDATE: it turns out that that was the issue. I decided to look for the drivers by going to the manufacturer of my motherboard (in this case gigabyte GA-170XP SLI Motherboard) and found the drivers for the USB 3.0 controllers. He stops my usb for some ports, even if it has been updated but after 10 minutes all came back and my scroll wheel works perfectly. Thank you for your help Singh Sarandeep.

  • New Gaming computer

I need a new computer to run on high quality games these days. I don't plan to play with the settings on Ultra for World of Warcraft. I'm running on an eMachines t5010, which is very outdated. I was wondering when buying a less expensive Inspiron 570 or a 620 Inspiron one could get at least in games like that, without a lot of lag. I know that's not an Alienware desktop computer, not even a computer office game, but I want to go cheap and play games casualy. Thank you!

There is a section of game on the forum and many discussions about game systems.  It is perhaps a good place to start.  What you seem to want is a PC game on a budget, and unfortunately with an Inspiron most likely wraps you with buyers remorse for not buying a better PC.  If the Alienware systems are out of your budget, look at the model XPS8300.

Here is a link to the games section.

  • IE Win will interfere with Firefox if both are on my gaming computer?

nothing extra, just trying to decide whether to download Firefox. Have Windows 7 and it will update is no longer.

That a browser may be your default browser to handle links from other applications. Sometimes browsers will be jostling to be your default. Otherwise, browsers can coexist peacefully side by side with no problem.

(As an exception, perhaps, there are some other browsers using Firefox source code. If you install one of those, they might try to share your Firefox data and who could cross to the top of your settings. It would be preferable, if they have the ability to use them to their own settings/profile folder).

  • Computer for Premier Pro high-end gaming: how much is too much?

Up to what level the first Pro can take advantage of the features of a high-end gaming computer? I like create, render and burn Blu Ray shows large and considering the purchase of a new computer game with 32 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GTX TITAN X 12 GB video card and Intel Core i7 5930 K 3.7 GHz processor. However, I won't buy more power that the Premier Pro can put to work to help me create more quickly and return shows. What the reasonable stopping point in the choice of processors, RAM and video card features? Thank you.

first mainly uses the cpu and the gpu for some video effects and color lumetri. If you want to go with the i7-5960 X, first can use all 8 cores. first is not able to go above 32 hearts (64 with hyper-threading), because of his programming software limits. 32 GB of memory should be plenty. If you are planning several other memory intensive programs open at the same time, you can go with 64 GB. the gtx x titan probably will not help that much, unless you do a lot of effects gpu & plugins and/or 4 k projects the ti-980 gtx is about 10-15% slower but much cheaper. the 970 gtx is a lot cheaper and would be fine with 1080 p projects and lite 4 k.

  • Need help. New desktop computer Lenovo M series Crash!

So, I recently bought a round of 7052B2U M91p as a first step of a gaming computer. I installed a Nvidia GTX 570 M graphics card in it and stuck 3 sticks of RAM DDR 3 10600 inside more. Everything was well and good until yesterday when I tried to use a recently installed game option to compare the system. Big mistake, apparently. No sooner had I clicked the option, he crashed with a blue screen and memory dump. I started several times and after all 5 test he gave me of recovery options. He did a 'roll-back' and all seemed well. So today I was in the middle of playing a game online and he again projected blue. This time I just can't get the coming recovery screen. I don't know where to go from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is all built now. Fans took me to always get the time and the right tools, but it takes my very cool system. The only other thing I want to add is now an SATA 3 SSD so my game starting times are really fast.

  • HP Pavilion H8-1017 cb: video card upgrade or get a new computer

I plan to install a new video card and power supply to support a monitor 43 "UHD or buy a gaming computer brand new with GTX 970.   What is the best video card compatible with my computer and the motherboard to work with UHD?

Also, would I waste my time to upgrade my current computer or saving a ton of money with great results?

You can upgrade to a powerful video card, but there are a few things you need to know and do.

Motherboard of your desktop came a generation before UEFI and only allows the installation of video cards that support legacy BIOS sound.  This means that you can install a video card that has inherited the BIOS support or a physical switch that allows the choice of the BIOS UEFI\Legacy.  Otherwise only video card BIOS UEFI will not be recognized under the current name of your card motherboard BIOS and the PC does not past the MESSAGE at startup, even in the BIOS.

You will need to install a power supply (Corsair or another brand of enthiusiast) who will provide at least 400-450 watts of high quality. The PSU mus also delivered with power connectors 6\8 PCIe pins for the video card. Check the configuration required for video cards of candidate you are watching.

Sapphire and MSI both make video cards that have a switch and they also make video cards that support the old BIOS only. It's a little more difficult to discern what MSI video card support the BIOS strives.

  • Duo Core VS Quad Core Gaming Gaming

    Hey guys!

Saving im for a gaming computer and im wondering if the game double heart is dead? Or it may crash with the quad cores!

A good example is I looked in my local computer store, same features except one had intel core i5 760 (quad core) with 5770, while the other had it intel core i5 650 (dual-core) with 5850... I can't decide which one to buy, or simply save for an amd phenom2 x 4 955 with a 5850?

Hope you get a useful answer here, but in the meantime have a read of:

    1 CPU hierarchy-

    http://www.TomsHardware.co.UK/best-gaming-CPU-core-i5-760-core-I7-970, 7.html - 31969-review

and read all the pages esp the ' best game CPU for $210: ' page.

    Hierarchy of 2 GPU-

    http://www.TomsHardware.co.UK/gaming-graphics-card-recommendation-upgrade, 7.html - 32078-review

again have an esp reading the ' best PCIe Card for ~ $ 135:' page.

Also do a search on google, there are not many messages for this sort of thing.

It's hard to say what is best for you, to others depends on what you mostly want to do. But personally I don't think that there should be a difference between or total advantage with each system. Personally, I would hope that the Quad core should be perhaps more future-proof, but who can tell in the useful life of these computers?

Yet until a certain response happens, hope this helps.

  • Need a fast computer for PTC software.

    Hi all.
I need a fast computer for PTC software, OS isn't a problem is long is he'll run PTC with add on no hick-ups.
System will be used for the calculation and drafting/design.
This is a not a gaming computer...
Thought was a motherboard with a front Quad, but I was told that this will not work:(parce que la limitation de la cpu et cela mettrai mon bureau sur un territoire de serveur.)
My question what OS what is the best OS for several CPUS and multiple core CPU for the desktop?  Can some one give me the breakdown of that OS supports the amount of CPU and what OS supports the amount of carrots? Which is more economical two quad CPU or separate before the processor on the motherboard.
    Thank you.

Think catch.  The chip in the socket is called a physical processor.

Vista Home Basic and Premium can use a.  Any number of cores is OK.  Carrots

    are called logical processors.

Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate can use two jacks.  Number any of

    cores of each is OK.

Only the editions of Windows Server can use 4 processors and up to.

  • Qosmio X 870 stop without reason - low performance

    Hi all

I recently purchased a Qosmio X 870 116 and I am extremely disappointed. It is supposed to be a gaming computer, but I can barely run that one game without the PC hangs. I tried to run newer games such as Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2. During the download of the GW2 Launcher, the PC crashed after a while, closing without no reason.

I finally managed to install the game on my laptop even when but I always have problems since I play after no more two minutes, the game slows down, the frame per second falls dramatically to 2 FPS and laptop computer crashes again.

I think there is a problem with the graphics card or the fan because eveytime I try to launch a game, the fan starts to run very fast and noisely.

I thought that it can also be a problem with technology Nvidia because of their service to Optimus on their recent graphics cards, so I tried to "give priority" use my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 M instead of the Intel HD family 4000 chipset used in the laptop computer, by right-clicking the icon of GW2 and opening the NVIDIA Control Panel to select the option "performance Nvidia High."

Unfortunately, the game freezes still after a few minutes. I have of course updated the drivers for the Nvidia card, but even when it does not work.

In addition, the laptop seems quite slow for me even while browsing on the Internet and the desktop which is rather worrying since the laptot has 12 GB of memory.

Anyone have an idea what is the reason for these low performance?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

There is a new BIOS v1.50
Try to update the BIOS because I read in other threads that similar problem with X 770 has been resolved by the BIOS and update the graphics driver.

The nVidia driver available on the page of the EU pilot seems to be older than the driver available on the nVidia page. If its interesting to know if you could get the running games using the driver from nVidia page.
