  Bring the MBA on an Apple store or an Apple authorized service provider.  Your MBA has a hardware problem, which must be evaluated.  Repair costs can be significant, since MBAs and water do not mix.

  My finger print sensor does not work correctly as a drink was spilled on the keyboard. While booting, it automatically "fails" 5 times in a row (without any attempt to slide a finger), and then by default at the entrance of password to boot the disk hard machine.

  This is not a problem and all I want to do is disable the finger print sensor, but cannot work out how to do this. I tried to uninstall the driver, who seemed done without any problem, but during the reboot, the sensor still seems active, and always goes through the same process.

  Everything else works fine and it's just a minor niggle, but I would like to delete the gene of it me beep 5 times then it does its thing.

  Can someone tell me how I turn it off completely?

  Did you remove the fingerprint software? If Yes check if some unknown device is listed in Device Manager. Please post the result.

  Maybe you can try to disable this unknown device and it will not be recognized as new hardware every time when you start the laptop.

  Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + TOP Arrow Keys (or one of the other Arrow Keys).

  If this does not work, right-click on the empty desk > graphics > Rotation.

• How to get rid of the spill on the edges of the document

  I found a tutorial and it said to use a clipping mask.  So I called a box on the clip mask layer and did.  But what has happened is that it seems that all the layers are no longer the elements of individual layer - it's as if the clip mask off all the items on layers.

  Create a new layer. Move all other layers in as sublayers. Draw a rectangle on the top layer on top of all sublayers. Click the mark button mask in the layers panel.

  I just found out two separate folders on my MBA (iPhoto Library & library Photos) each with a size of 57,15 GB. I assumed that these documents contain the same photos, so I can just delete the old iPhoto library to save HD space? I could use it of course since my HD has fallen to only 20 GB left.   If you are sure that you don't use iPhoto again, Yes, but photography, files are hardlinked and only take place once while it is in the two libraries, so it will not free anywhere near 57 GB of space.

  Spilled water on the keyboard. Laptop has stopped working.
  Dried, but did not recognize the HDD start up and HDD does not Set - up.

  The HARD drive slot is not repairable. It s a HARD disk controller and I guess the HARD disk controller is dead.
  The HARD disk controller is part of the motherboard and if you want to repair it, so the entire motherboard must be replaced.

  New motherboard would cost a small fortune he of not good about market 350Euros
  That's why I put t think it is s to replace the mobo only to get the HARD drive in the first location of work

  Worse still, you can probably buy more 2 (one is a backup) and little to transport the parts.  OWC (macsales.com) carries the original wireless keyboard.  The only wireless sold by Apple now keyboard is designed for single El Capitan, not only not to work (less reliable) with Yosemite and back.  It does not... easy to tell who's old and new batteries.

  OWC carries the old style, still at $69.  As well as the old style Magic Trackpad at $69.

  If you beg and plead, Apple store * could * exchange one of the used old from their shelves for a fee, but ask nicely.

  Some suggestions here that I would have this problem.

  1. disconnect the cables around it and disconnect the battery if possible.

  2. the weird towel and fan tour - see link below - can take up to 96 hours

  3. you can stuff the Mac in rice or Silica Gel...

  4 bring to the Apple Store for damage diagnosis.

  Those who have been the best 4 steps, that I could find.

  The towel and fan thing would probably work better, but I've never tried.

  I just did something stupid and spilled beer on my keyboard.  I gave and it evacuated and wiped the top of the keyboard.  It's a keyboard for a desktop computer.  What should I do?

  Well, I took the keyboard out there (there are about a dozen screws!) and noticed there is no liquid on the bottom of the keyboard where the circuit board (or whatever that this is called) is.  So I ran the top plastic of the keyboard under the water to get rid of beer, let dry and reassembled the keyboard.  So far it works great.  (Typos are my responsibility, not the keypad.)  Thanks for your suggestions!

• Coffee spilled on the keyboard.

  Laptop HP 4540 S, Win7 64 bit.  No error msg.  Removed battery and dried up all the liquid with absorbent paper.  Removed the bottom panel, so it can dry at night.  Any other ideas before I turn it on tomorrow?
