Coffee spilled on the magic keyboard

Hi guys, I recently spilled some coffee on my keyboard magic and tried my best to remove it...

The day after that, I tried to use it to see if it worked correctly and he realized that some of the keys are not working...

Is there a way I could solve this problem?

Here is a photo showing the keys which do not and those who are...

Probably toast.

Worse still, you can probably buy more 2 (one is a backup) and little to transport the parts.  OWC (macsales.com) carries the original wireless keyboard.  The only wireless sold by Apple now keyboard is designed for single El Capitan, not only not to work (less reliable) with Yosemite and back.  It does not... easy to tell who's old and new batteries.

OWC carries the old style, still at $69.  As well as the old style Magic Trackpad at $69.

If you beg and plead, Apple store * could * exchange one of the used old from their shelves for a fee, but ask nicely.

  • Coffee spilled on my ergonomic keyboard 4000 MS. v1 and now nothing works.

I have it rincer rinse with plenty of water, takes off all keys and them rinsed or dried. They all feel good. Use an air hose and blew the 'stuff '. Left in an oven dry very low temp for several hours. Now there are no signs of liquid, but nothing works. When I plug it into the USB port, it looks for and loads the driver, so that he knows the keyboard exists. I have a led of led on on the numeric keypad enter but I can't seem to turn off. Another light on the lock indicator F, but I can't be a stop. But not a single key will work.

Help! Cola poured on ketboard to laptop

This isn't something that the casual user should expect to be able to solve.  Someone knowledgeable about your brand and the computer model will have to demolish and clean completely out and the sooner the better as colas contain acid which will probably damage the computer any longer, they are allowed to stay on it.

  • iPad Pro / Magic Keyboard | Change the language

    Hi all

I recently bought the Magic Keyboard (presentation in French) and I want to type on my IPad Pro. And here is my problem: when I need to type in a different language (e.g. English instead of French), I change the language of the dictionary and it automatically changes the physical keyboard! So, it makes the keyboard "French" of magic almost unusable for any other language (I have to "guess" where are the letters). The "Hardware keyboard" menu (general / keyboard) does not allow me to set a default physical keyboard that remains the same when I change language...

    Thanks in advance!

You gave just the physical keyboard to the French for each software keyboard separately.  There should be no problem it.   Let me know if you can't see how that works...

  • Pair magic keyboard or the magic mouse 2 with multiple Macs

We have two El Capitan 10.11.3 running MacBook Air.  We have an office for a docking configuration environment / clamshell with an external monitor, a keyboard of magic and Magic Mouse 2.  As one of us needs to use this office Installer, anchor us the MacBook and then use the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2.  However, whenever a MacBook is exchanged, we must re-pair the mouse and the keyboard using the connector of the lightning, because the Exchange system throws a 'unsuccessful connection. Please connect the device again. "error.

These two devices are unable to maintain matching configurations to multiple Macs?  I read several reviews on this site that describes how to join multiple Macs using the mouse Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard.  It would be very disappointing if this feature has been ruled out.  In fact, let's make these devices if this is the case.  We understand devices does not simultaneously connect to two Macs, and it would be nice if we did not re-pairing through lightning connector whenever we swapped the laptop used in the office,

    Thank you!

You can only pair you with one device at a time. They are not multi-user features. You can use on a single computer at a time.

  • the magic mouse 2 must remain always on?

I have an iMac nine of the end of 2015. Y at - it recommendations to maintain in good condition the keyboard mouse Magic 2 and magic that comes with it?

I tried to find answers in the documentation of the iMac, but cannot find anything. So my question is: should I turn off my magic mouse 2 everytime I turn on my computer? Or should it remain always on? (same question goes for the magic keyboard)

Thanks in advance for your answers!

  • Battery stopped magic keyboard appear

I got the magic keyboard because the first one came out a month ago or not and it was working fine until today when my iMac has informed me that the battery was low. So I plugged the connector of the lightning and noted that preferences-keyboard of the system no longer displays the battery level. Everything works fine with the Magic Trackpad however.

The first time I looked under system preferences he showed the battery level but he showed no lightning so I was afraid that he was not actually charging (which turned out to be correct, unfortunately)

I tried to turn off Bluetooth and back with no luck. Settings Bluetooth seems to show that in the magic of the keyboard battery levels are ok but the battery in the keyboard levels do not appear as they did.

I tried to disable the magic keyboard using this little switch on the back, without success.

If I am afraid he will miss fees altogether so I guess I'll have to go back to the local Apple store (not my idea of fun)

I have the same problem. I think he lost the signal of battery level after that I upgraded 10.11.2 El Capitan. Help please!

    Thank you... Angela

  • Keyboard does not just after all top coffee spill

I have a Toshiba with Windows Home Premium Sp 1 64bt. I recently spilled some coffee on the left side of the keyboard. I cleaned it up quickly, but some of the keys stopped working: the 1QWETA & keys S I have a locality says that they could easily fix it. The guy on the phone said less than $30, then another guy yelled minimum $50. In any case, I decided to buy keyboard logitech plugin. Everything went very well connect the keyboard. I was able to type my password without problem. Then I opened word and I had to hold each button a second or two before the letter. It's the same program I've tried, including online. Logitech has replaced the keyboard after trying with telephone & online. The story is the same with the replacement. Does anyone have ideas for a fix for this? Either get the keyboard to work or a fixed address on the original keyboard? Thank you!

Thanks, but this response does not apply to my question.

I'm afraid it does. Your coffee damaged keyboard interferes with the external keyboard. To stop the intervention you need to unplug or replace it. There's no other way.

  • Apple Magic Keyboard 2 (2016) detects only no more than 3 keys at the same time!

Hello. So I don't know if there is a solution to this, but I played on my macbook pro 15 inch 2015 model very well and I was pressing 'x', 'w' + 'shift' + 'space' at the same time and four keys were detected by the game, and it worked. After I while I bought the new magical keyboard 2 (2016) and connected to my laptop. I played the same game and based on the same key combination ('x', 'w' + 'shift' + 'space'), but only 'w' + 'x' + 'space' got detected and played. Is it possible to fix this? Thanks for the future replies!

If you still use Yosemite, as shown in your profile, you can find (if you look at the box) that the keyboard of Magic 2 is planned for El Capitan.   You should go if you want to get the best out of it.   I can't speak for specific failures, but there have been similar problems with the Magic Mouse 2 where the upgrade it is resolved.

  • Tecra M5: print fingerprint sensor is not working properly because a drink was spilled on the keyboard

My finger print sensor does not work correctly as a drink was spilled on the keyboard. While booting, it automatically "fails" 5 times in a row (without any attempt to slide a finger), and then by default at the entrance of password to boot the disk hard machine.

This is not a problem and all I want to do is disable the finger print sensor, but cannot work out how to do this. I tried to uninstall the driver, who seemed done without any problem, but during the reboot, the sensor still seems active, and always goes through the same process.

Everything else works fine and it's just a minor niggle, but I would like to delete the gene of it me beep 5 times then it does its thing.

Can someone tell me how I turn it off completely?

    Thank you.

Did you remove the fingerprint software? If Yes check if some unknown device is listed in Device Manager. Please post the result.

Maybe you can try to disable this unknown device and it will not be recognized as new hardware every time when you start the laptop.

  • How will I know if my magic keyboard is in charge? And how know when it is done load so I can unplug the charger of lightning?

How will I know if my magic keyboard is in charge? And how know when it is done load so I can unplug the charger of lightning?

I remember reading that the charging time is about two hours.   If you have exhausted the battery it may well take longer.    After the period of two hours, he must run for about a month in any case if you could take the charger after 2 hours.    But I remember also as statements using the old MM1 mouse with rechargeable batteries Apple and stand-alone charger.    MIne has quickly reduced by about 14 days and now its down to 7 days.
