The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters. While you can use the font .ttf and .otf and web fonts, it would be very unusual to use one so great. I have never had any problems with nVidia drivers before that. So everyone can learn from my experience is 306.97 nVidia display driver and the problem edits are KB2756872 and KB2770917 for Windows 8 64-bit.

  Uninstall the current version of LR, you have it installed, download LR 4.4.1 installer and install it. I don't know what causes your problem with the update, but that a full installer for 4.4.1 can operate without any problems.
