GeForce GTX 770 runs on the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE?

I am considering buying the HP Envy Phoenix 810SE and I want to configure it with the i7 - 4930K (optional) Hexacore and 2 GB of Nvidia GeForce GTX (optional) 770. However, the power of this model is only a low 500 watts - however the recommended minimum power for the 770 according to Nvidia GTX is 600 Watts it consumes typical of 230 watts.

My question is how this platform may run the card at all?

I mean I'll take Hexacore i7 - 4930K which consumes 105 watt just by itself, add in 2 hdd (35 watt) as well as a dvd player + motherboard and memory. I don't see how this configuration may work.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Jorge

Hello

power max is just what components are going to shoot when they are maxxed out.

You can get away with running this solution, but if the execution of some heavy games can draw more power than the system can handle.

If this is the case, you may need to upgrade the power supply.

on the drives, you can run an SSD that will consume less energy than your spinning disks.

  • Improvement of the GPU: GeForce GTX 770 with SLI or Nvidia Quadro K5000 2 cards?

Hello, I'll start working with video files in raw format of 4 k (Premiere, After Effects, SpeedGrade, S.redgiant plug-ings). Now, I have a graphics GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 770, but told me that video game cards GeFroce limited fukntsional when working with video in first. Is this really so? If I change my card Nvidia Quadro K5000 that presents similar characteristics, will I get additional features working in Adobe (Premiere, After Effect, SpeesGrade) programs? Does make sense in such a substitution? Or is it better to buy a second GTX 770 and put in SLI? Adobe, which will support?

No, the Geforce cards have a limitation with 4K media and GPU acceleration. The GPU CUDA acceleration IE is not specific to Geforce or Quadro. The specifications of the cards decide the performance. The specifications of the Geforce are much more important than the K5000 Quadro if you get the 780Ti or the Titan Black Edition. The two cards are cheaper. The only advantage that the Quadro card has in what concerns Adobe is the option to output 10-bit color for previewing as Adobe Open GL for the API. However, you can get a Blackmagic 4 K card to studio with a Titan Black edition and still spend less money than the K5000 while having much better performance. I have personally run an E5 - 2697 V2 12 Core Xeon with 4 GB 770GTX card and I play 4K r3d back at half resolution easily right now. Full resolution for previewing with 4K red is simply not possible through any software other than Redcine X Pro right now until the demosaicing of GPU acceleration is available. BTW, I would say 1 Titan Black edition of 2 x 770GTX cards. In all of the GPU scaling only works on the rendering now. When the debayer to GPU acceleration is available, then adding that a 2nd map of Titan would be much better than having 2 x 770GTX cards.

SLI and the GPU acceleration are 2 different technologies. SLI is scaling of drawing to the screen through more than 1 video card. The GPU acceleration is a module of programming that are sending computations to the GPU for processing that were normally handled by the player through the CPU. Acceleration GPU don't require or even use SLI for evolving on GPU. It's successful and at the request of the application.

  • NVIDIA Geforce GTX 770 on a Dell Inspiron years 620

    Hello everyone,

I have a Dell Inspiron of the 620 years and my question is this: can I put a Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 in my PC?

    Thank you.

You had already posted the R9 280 X and I said that these cards full size do not fit in the 620 years.  The best card you can get for this system is the low profile Sapphire HD 7750 shown here if you can still find available.  If you are looking for a high-end gaming card, you will need to buy a new computer, because high-end gaming cards simply do not match your case.  If you want cards like the GTX 770 or R9 280 X, I suggest you build your own computer.

    Hello

I have not found any recent message on the desktop computer HP ENVY Phoenix 810se with Windows 8.1.

My desire is currently blocked in the screen just after the symbol HP is displayed. PC boots, HP symbol appears, "Please Wait" appears wth points circling on a black screen, the screen goes blue - where is it stays. Nothing that I don't alter unless I hit the power button.

It started last night. I am logged in as usual, intervened after the Sons of Anarchy watch DVR i had. When I got home 20 minutes later, I saw 4 lines of the repeated statement. Discuss something in the direction of boot not found.

The error message that you normally receive means that the hard drive has failed.  I suggest running SMART , from the BIOS.  This will tell you if it failed.

  • EVA GeForce GTX 750: Question on the compatibility of card and the card mother graphics

    Hello!

After this purchase pre-built Intel PC five or so years ago, it has graphic capeabilities are unfortunately insufficient for what I need. Long story short, I want to buy a new graphics card, but I don't know that the motherboard system takes care of everything. The card I currently have is a GT230 and I want to move to is the GeForce GTX 750 EVA and my motherboard is an MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with an i7-860 processor. I can update without burning my PC?

    Thank you!

    Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

The problem is I intend to switch to 32 GB of ram, but I don't know which brand to buy to match the stock ram that would usually come standard with the machine. I buy ram online so he comes the same day as my office. Does anyone know what brand hp uses? crucial? Corsair? PNY?

    Thanks in advance!

HP uses ram from different manufacturers, depends on which it can provide at any time, it isn't the brand but the specs that matter.

I would call Kingston or Crucial on the phone for help on the selection, as they ensure the compatibility.

  • Cannot get card GeForce GTX 560 Ti CUDA to work with the new version of first Pro CC 2014

In the past, I was able to get CUDA on my GeForce GTX 560 Ti card to work with the Mercury playback engine by adding 'GeForce GTX 560 it' in the file cuda_supported_cards.txt. But with the new version of CC 2014 first, this file is not in the repertoire of Premiere Pro more. Is there a way to get my GTX 560 it be listed as a card support for CUDA with CC 2014?

So, I thought about it.  I installed the latest graphics driver, and then open the NVIDIA Control Panel.  Here, I've selected "Manage 3D settings" and went to the 'Program settings' tab  I chose Adobe Premiere (adobe first pro.exe) in the list and under the function of "CUDA" - GPU, I changed to "Use these GPU" and selected my GTX 560 it (which was the only one listed).

After that, I opened the first Pro CC 2014 and selected 'Project Settings - général' and was therefore able to choose "Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration" under Renderer (which was unavailable).

I hope this will help someone else if they encounter the same problem.

  • HP Pavilion p6-2102ed: MSI GeForce GTX 660 on my HP Pavilion p6-2102ed work?

    Hi all

    I have a HP Pavilion p6-2102ed with H-CUPERTINO2-H61-uA TX motherboard (Cupertino2).
I would like to enhance it with a MSI GeForce GTX 660.
Is the big question now: they both will work together?

I already read something on the power supply. The video card requires a six-pin plug connected to a power supply, which is not the p6-2102ed.
1: how to solve this? Do I have to buy an external power supply? If so, of what powersupply do you recommend? Or can I buy a cable (with six pins) and connect it to the power supply built in the p6-2102ed?

2: I read the MSI GeForce GTX 660 measure 260 mm long. According to me, it will fit in the case. So it will not be the problem I think.

3: the Bios will accept the new video card? Or what I need to adjust some settings in the Bios?

Here are all the questions that I can think of right now.
Please correct me if I wrote something wrong, and if you know the most important information, please tell me!

    Thank you for helping me.

    Hello

The NVIDIA GTX 660 should work in your PC if it has not been flashed with a UEFI BIOS update. You will need to check with MSI on this situation.  I have an EVGA GTX 660 and I did the flash of UEFI to my graphics card.  Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

The CX600 Corsair or CS650m would be an excellent choice for a diet.

    -------------------------------------

BTW - The NVIDIA GTX 660 is a map of excellent graphics for HP PC that do not run a 8 BIOS version.

  • I can swap AMD Radeon with a nVidia GTX 770 on an Aspire 5560

I want to replace my Radeon AMD with an nVidia GeForce GTX 770. But what I can? Anyone know if I can exchange my old graphics card with an nVidia? I ask because some portable computers desktop computers have welded parts. So anyone know if I can swap out? Any help would be appreciated

Now, Trig, your laptop has a dedicated memory card, so it can be toggled.

I don't know why you want to pass to the AMD Radeon HD 2 6740. A review panned, pointing out that there is driver with this dual-core video card problems. I want to emphasize that driver problems are common when you change the hardware (and even software) of a laptop. Here is the link to the review:

    http://www.notebookcheck.NET/AMD-Radeon-HD-6740G2.57275.0.html

I found a comment on a computer that is using a card of this series, and the review explained that there are problems to get the benefits of these two hearts.

  • GTX 770 4 GB impossible to select 144 Hz on dell S2716DG.

    Hi all

Yesterday, I bought a new monitor, dell S2716DG. My problem is that I can't select option 144 Hz even at lowest ressolution. MAX I can get is 120 Hz.

And my question is this problem aside GPU or monitor? I use DP connetion added to my dell.

It would be really great if someone could help me.

Nevermind, nvidia has responded to my support ticket...

«I have discussed this issue with development and after some research on the specification of what is expected due to the limitation HW.» The 2560x1440@144Hz of resolution would require a 586 Mhz pixel clock. Max GeForce GTX 770 pixel clock is 540 Mhz. You will need a 980 GPU GTX class, which has a higher pixel clock in order to support the 2560x1440@144hz resolution. Let me know if you have any questions. »

  • ThinkStation C20 and GeForce GTX 570

    Hello

SRY for my bad English (German here). I have a C20 ThinkStation and today my Palit GeForce GTX 570 arrived. The problem now is that the delayed of the interface is on the side... and I can't close my C20 more... because of the thickness of the cable 8 and 6-pin.

Are there opportunities to bring the delayed behind the card with cables or something? Or any other GTX 570 with a delayed on the back side?

  • GeForce GTX 460 with Premiere Pro feature

    Hello community,

I'm looking to use first Pro CS5 to the video capabilities of first order, but only by intermittent and not need the ultra high performance in need of a professional video editor. I have to upgrade my computer to be able to deal with CS5 and Windows 7 and I am on a budget and looking for ways to cut corners. Read all the specs, it seems that the GeForce GTX series, 285 and the 470 are the ONLY ones that Adobe has certified for all features with first Pro 5.

It seems clear from the comments in the following Adobe blog (http://blogs.adobe.com/premiereprotraining/2010/09/premiere-pro-cs5-5-0-2-update.html), the GeForce 460 does not allow for full functionality in far as Adobe is concerned, despite the fact that there CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1

This confuses me, as the specifications shown in http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-GeForce-GTX-460-us.html do not seem to be very different from those indicated in the http://www.NVIDIA.com/Object/product_geforce_gtx_470_us.html . In addition, I thought that CUDA, DirectX 11 and Open GL 4.1 were important factors for the Mercury engine.

Maybe miss me something, I'm not extremely technologically, but I feel I might be able to shoot really well with 460. Get your opinion on this?

    Fine thanks

    Simon

    Simon,

The GTX 460 works perfectly with the PR CS5. All you have to do is apply the 'hack', which amounts to nothing more than add a simple line of text in a text file on your system. At the point where you have made your decision and after reading one of the many posts here on the 'hack' and you still can not understand, post here and we can help you further.

  • Want to 810qe of Phoenix: upgrade graphics card on desktop HP Envy Phoenix 810qe

If earlier I wanted a new Phoenix 810qe Desktop (windows version 8) with the following customizations: 4th gen Intel i7 - 4790 k @4.0 Ghz, 16 GB DDR3 - 1600 Mhz (2 DIMM), 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive, cache SSD 16 GB mSATA, HP WLAN 802.11 DB 2 x MCard BT WIDI 2 ac, 15 in 1 Multi Media Card Reader slot , 6 USB ports (front/back), Audio [before 4USB2.0, 2USB3.0 top of the page], 4 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 745. I want to know if I could put in an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 instead of the 745 GTX graphics card. Reading this post on the forum (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Upgrade-My-HP-ENVY-Phoenix-810qe-Desktop/td-p/4679014) I know that the computer has a power of 500w. But in the post, that it seemed that the person asking the question just had basic computer and had not adapted it, and I still have to wonder if the customization that I did for my computer took more watts of the PSU.  Now that I know that the GTX 980 would need 500 all the watts that my computer can offer that I want to know if my computer is perhaps still able to run this beast of a GPU. Anyone have any ideas? If this isn't the case, I think I can just settle for a Geforce GTX 960 because who needs to 400 w of total power of the system. But I'm not even sure that would work on my current computer either. Any help?
