Generate WebHelp loop refresh results

I know that sounds familiar to you, but that's a different matter to this discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5745727. I have deployed the fix for this problem and now looks a the webhelp works.

However, this problem is when I generate a project of the child, he published with success; However, when I click on the table of contents file, refresh loop begins and the content does not appear. Is it only seems to happen to me, not the other 2 technical writers who use RoboHelp.

Any ideas?

Update: uninstall and Reinstall RoboHelp worked... for some reason any.

  • Cannot generate webhelp, using a conditional compilation expression

    Background

    • RoboHelp 7 HTML (I know it's old)
    • Windows 7
    • Project still has conditional text - webhelp update / generated successfully about 4 months ago.
    • Other projects of mine who have conditional text are still working fine - which means that I can generate webhelp successfully, using an expression of conditional compilation for all my other projects.

    Problem

    When I try to generate webhelp for this specific project, RoboHelp crashes during the progress "update files" message. The only way out is to entirely close HR. Successfully, I can generate webhelp for this specific project if I don't use ANY conditional compilation expression.

    What I tried

    • As stated above, I can generate webhelp for this project if I do not use a conditional compilation expression.
    • I tried the following in different combinations: removed all conditions and conditional text tags, removed the .pss file, which is deleted the file .cpd, looked at table formatting, created new conditions with new names.  Result is always the same: HR crashes if I use a conditional compilation expression.

    Things I noticed

    • The project root file has many temporary files in Robohelp after the failure of the generate. If I generate thereafter with no expression of conditional compilation, temporary files are gone.  This is probably normal behavior HR.
    • After I deleted all the conditions and conditional text on every topic references, I added a new condition.  I did NOT mark any conditional text.  I have added a conditional compilation expression.  Generate crashes.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Hello! I had the same problem. It turns out that it was a problem with one subject! Talk about a needle in a Hay stack! Specifically, it was a problem with a cell that had a condition applied (the last cell of a table).

    Note: The way in which this table was split and merged and had conditions applied (on certain columns, others not)... I'm not surprised, that there was a problem.

    Action taken:

    1. Created a new project. (you wanted to see if it was a problem with my project might be corrupted or if it was something with the files and/or conditions).
    2. Imported from all subjects, recreated WebHelp SSL, tried to regenerate, he hooked (good news: not my bad news of project.: I have to dig further).
    3. Created another new project.
    4. Import a file that had all my conditions in there so that I can recreate my WebHelp SSL (with conditions having been imported into the new project).
    5. I generated the WebHelp unconditionally excluded. Worked.
    6. I generated the WebHelp with the same exclusions defined as I had in my original draft. Worked.
    7. I imported the 5 themes of my original topic and regenerated. Worked.
    8. I continued to repeat topics 5 both importers and regeneration until it didn't work.
    9. Remove the last 5 years (generated after the deletion, just to make sure it was ok), then imported one at a time until the generation has failed and the project was not admissible.
    10. Once I identified the subject that created the issue (did not know what the problem would be even), I have started another project and imported the topic problem ONLY. Then, I removed 3/4 of the subject and regenerated. Worked. Any new topic (replacing the stripped down in the topic) and this time I deleted less content. Regenerated. Did not work. This helped me to identify the specific area that was causing the problem which, in my case, was the construction tag closing after the table tag.

    If it's the same problem, you may save time and find this string to identify: " "

    I hope this helps! Good luck

  • Style is not applied to the generated WebHelp

    I use RoboHelp 2015 on a Windows 7 computer.  I copied a project to help on the Web in a new directory, and then opened it to WebHelp.  The project was created many years ago and updated over the years.  The last default.css file is in this directory and also in the generated output directory.

    When I generate WebHelp output, all styles are applied correctly except one.  The name of this style, COLUMNNAME, is all uppercase.  The rest of the style names are uppercase or all lowercase.  Why didn't that one style in the document being not properly formatted?

    This model has a color applied.  A different style in a document has a color applied and it works well.

    The style of formatting shows up properly in the ap of RoboHelp.  If I click on the text, and then double-click the style, setting style format and then display correctly in the generated output.  This would be OK except that I have thousands of text with this style.

    Thanks for your help.

    Have you considered a topic where this style is used? In the heading is COLUMNNAME your CSS file maybe it's now Columname and there is a mismatch.

    I was able to solve this problem. It seems that, in the frame following the instructions for applying the patch to WebHelp, fix for Internet Explorer 10, some files have been deleted.

    Fortunately, my TI support person had made a backup of the folders before him applied the patches and was able to copy the missing files.

    I'm now able to generate again the WebHelp.

  • FPGA square wave generator diverts loop calendar

    Description of the problem:

    I have a simple while loop with a structure of matter inside. In one case, I have the
    Generator FPGA Sinewave sending the data of output to AO0, otherwise, I have
    the square wave FPGA sending output to AO0 generator. The sine and square
    waves are set to run at 10 kHz

    I also have a shift register that changes the State of DIO0 each loop through.
    In this way, I can look DIO0 on my scope and say how fast the loop runs.

    When I choose the sine wave generator, the output on AO0 is what I expect. That
    is I have a sinusoidal signal at 10 kHz and the loop speed is approximately 1 US. Everything is good.

    Then I move to the square wave. I get a signal square 10 kHz, which is good. But
    My loop speed was slowed down to 50 US (it follows the square wave
    exactly) is: once the loop defines the FS square wave and the
    the next time through the loop, it defines the square wave to-FS.

    My problem is that when I generate a square wave, I expect the speed of loop
    to stay fast he does it for the sine wave. You can see what my loop speed
    slows to 50 (a square wave of 10 kHz) and then all my calculations that must
    go in parallel with the square wave will also be slowed.

    Please help me with my understanding of the use of the square wave FPGA sub - VI

    If you dig into the express VI, it will loop an SSTL until there is a change in value.  The sine wave has no need to do so because the value changes constantly.

    If you can, I recommend doing your loop a SSTL and configure the express screw accordingly.  This will work as long as the rest of your code in the loop can be run in a single clock cycle.

  • RoboHelp 9 - problems generating WebHelp

    I use RoboHelp 9. When I try to generate the main provision (WebHelp), my books and subjects are not. The contents, Index, search and glossary are (even if nothing happens when you click on them), but the rest of the screen is empty. I've included a screenshot.

  • Generated WebHelp output folder contains------! ScreenLayout! ------folder

    I am running TCS4 and just played a bit with the creation of WebHelp with RH10. In my project and the Salesbuilder project, I find that there is a------! ScreenLayout! ------record with only a file mobile.css in each subfolder. I could understand this if I was generating Multiscreen HTML5 output, but I'm not - WebHelp has been made available by default in both cases. So 2 questions - firstly, why is - what is put there and, secondly, can I safely get rid of him? My help gets only bundled with our software and installed on servers LAN customers, never a Web server. You cannot run the software on a mobile phone, in order to try to access this way never between in-game.

  • Does not display the images and CSS does not work generated WebHelp

    Hi all

    I have two issues which I believe are related. It miss me probably a simple step somewhere, since I can't find this issue covered in the forum or help.

    We have just upgraded to RH7 to RH9. When I build a project to test, the CSS was fate not (it was connected properly in the topics of the project, but he was not released when the WebHelp has been generated). Trying to open the CSS file directly led to a 404 error.

    I was able to solve that by checking the "Apply to all" button and selecting the CSS file we use (see image). However, none of our lists - ordered and unordered - are properly formatted. The font and size of numbered lists is incorrect, lists all nested lists display with numbers, even if they are not ordained and autonomous bulleted lists use evenly filled as circles dig balls, where previously they used the small squares, circles, or a picture of triangle. The CSS is called correctly in the subject, lists are formatted to use the styles and the styles are in the style sheet, so I do not know what causes this problem. So far, I have not noticed any other styles does not, but those are the ones that stand out.

    WebHelp Settings (CSS).png

    The other problem is with the images. This problem appears in both our WebHelp generated and in the printed documentation. The images are not output. In WebHelp, the text appears (typically the name of the file). in the printed documentation, nothing appears. (I checked all the printed documents that "embedded" is selected, but as far as I know, there isn't a similar function for the WebHelp).

    What Miss me? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Source code control is involved?

    So you can see the CSS in the project manager and it works very well in the design editor but does not every time that you build for. Can you just build or generate and publish? You use Windows Explorer to check the CSS in both places?

    How do you get a 404 error? This happens when you click on a link where the target does not exist. Normally you would use Windows Explorer to locate the CSS.

    Lists are a known problem on upgrade from 7. See the lists on my site.

    The images show in the project manager?

  • RH8 - Generated WebHelp Resource.XML

    RoboHelp 8 generated a folder called "resource" with a resource.xml file, in the process of generation of WebHelp. This folder and the file has just appeared in the record of WebHelp output.  There is no record of resources or resource.xml in the project at all - it has just appeared.

    When I removed this folder and the file, there is no change or problem in the behavior or appearance of the WebHelp system - it seems to be fine.  But I'm worried about deleting something that I don't know.

    I looked at the content of the XML file in Notepad, and there seem to be many references to RSS feeds.  So, I wonder if this resource.xml is used to include a FLOW RSS in Help topics, which I think is a new feature in RH8.  That could explain it.  I don't have any news FEED in any subject in this project.

    I did search this forum for "resource.xml", as well as Google/Bing search too, but no reference obvious to this file in RH8.  Am I missing something?

    This isn't a matter of urgency - the project works very well.  I'm just very, very curious about this extra folder and file.  I would be very happy to any clarification or clues that you can offer me on this situation.

    Thank you very much!

    If it is created in the webhelp output folder, it is only necessary with AIR. In webhelp, the folder and the file can be deleted.

  • Problems generating WebHelp output using RoboHelp X 5

    Hello

    I have been using RoboHelp X 5, build 606 since the last 2 weeks. I am facing problems with the generation of the WebHelp output, when I generate and publish the project, it does not give me the Index and table of contents. I took over the project from another author, and when I compare the new published folder help with his previous work, I see some missing files. Could someone group please help me solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    Two options from this information.

    1] is the D drive partition on your hard drive or a network drive? The RoboHelp projects must be executed from your hard drive.

    [2] the most likely is that HR is not properly installed. When the left anterior author was uninstalled and reinstalled HR using your login? For X 5, it must be installed using your login? Also, you need local administrator rights both to install it and use it.

    My guess is that it's all to do with X 5 having not been installed with your login and you have local administrator rights.

    This will lead to another problem. X 5 can no longer be activated. The solution that is on my site. See extract of 100.

  • Changes to the police after WebHelp is generated in RH10

    I'm having a similar to this topic isssue: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4751049 however, my problem is with RoboHelp HTML, RoboHelp for Word.

    Recently, we downloaded the trial version of RoboHelp 10 to determine if our help files, that have been created in RoboHelp 2000 (maybe, that was before my time, and this is the last version that I could identify on a CD here) could be updated. Everything works great, except that when I generate WebHelp or HTML Help, some subjects appear in Times New Roman. Based on the CSS file that is applied and the way the project looks at in RoboHelp, everything should be in Arial.

    I reapplied the CSS file to all subjects, checked to make sure that the appropriate style has been applied to the text in the headings appearing incorrectly and tried to apply the value by default and other CSS files.

    I use Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 to display the WebHelp.

    There was a fairly significant paradigm from RH7 shift to switch to the standard HTML and CSS supported. This resulted in significant changes to the styles and also how you choose the styles to be applied to the paragraphs.

    For example, in RH6 the H1 style has been defined twice as follows:

    H1 {}

    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

    }

    {LI.kadov - H1

    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

    }

    RH7 changed as follows:

    H1 {}

    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

    }

    LI. H1 {}

    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.

    }

    Maybe the kadov part has not been withdrawn from the style sheet. Or maybe he has been removed from the style sheet, but not the headings.

    There is also a topic on the site of Peter Grainge (www.grainge.org) dealing with lists, as these has caused a lot of problems on the upgrade, if you could read there for more information as well. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Robohelp, but thought that I would point out that, contrary to Word, the Style dropdown in the toolbar displays only styles of paragraph and character - to view all possible (as the list styles), you can use the Style Pod (unless this has changed recently - I must put at my disposal RH8).

    Another option is to create a brand new stylesheet so you can compare the stylesheet imported with the native stylesheet RH10 - beware of implementing all the differences, however, some of your choices will depend on the HTML in topics as well.

    I hope this will help you with your question though,

  • Search for "highlight search results' tab of localized WebHelp shows wrong characters (RoboHelp 9)

    I tested it with several WebHelp skins, including the default value and in French and German.  The text "Highlight search results" in the Find tab in WebHelp poster this for Spanish: 'Como resultados of the Baºsqueda' and for the French: «Highlight search results»  I found on some other posts that this is controlled by this file in the output: whfform.htm.  I edited the following line in this file (gsHiliteSearchTitle = "Como resultados of the Baºsqueda"), and the WebHelp is displayed correctly.  However, I have to do whenever I generate WebHelp, because the file is not in the source files.  I've tested this locally and on our Web server, so I don't think it's a problem with UTF-8 on the Web server.  In addition, it is the only place where this happens in the WebHelp.  Everything else is OK.

    Someone know how to solve this problem, or do I report a bug?  See screenshot below.

    Thank you.

    Gina

    WebHelp character issue.jpg

    A RoboHelp engineer sent me this in an email, which solved the problem:

    "Please go to la! Language! folder in your project folder and open es_ES folder. Open the RoboHHRE.lng file in Notepad. Look for the "FtsHilitePrompt" variable in the file and see that its value is not corrupted as it is in the output. »

    That's what I did: the RoboHHRE.lng has been corrupted (using the spelling "Baºsqueda" - attached).  I made a copy of the original and renamed her "RoboHHRE_old.lng".  I edited the original file with the correct spelling of 'search' (search) in "Como search results" and the WebHelp now displays correctly.  (Same French).
