Generation 7 random sequence of numbers

Hello

create sequences centers_seq
begins with 1234567 increment of 1;

This statement will create and start the sequence 1234567 and increments by 1 while I'm of course unique and trying to generate random 7 digit

Thank you in anticipation

Best regards

Well, you can take a random semi approach:

SQL> create sequence s start with 100 maxvalue 999
  2  /

Sequence created.

SQL> select s.nextval * 10000 + trunc(dbms_random.value(1000,9999)) unique_semi_random_7_digit_num from dual
  2  /

UNIQUE_SEMI_RANDOM_7_DIGIT_NUM
------------------------------
                       1007776

SQL> /

UNIQUE_SEMI_RANDOM_7_DIGIT_NUM
------------------------------
                       1017247

SQL> /

UNIQUE_SEMI_RANDOM_7_DIGIT_NUM
------------------------------
                       1025913

SQL> /

UNIQUE_SEMI_RANDOM_7_DIGIT_NUM
------------------------------
                       1033573

SQL>

  • question to insert random generation between 1 to 5 numbers

    Hello all;

    I have the sample data
    create table zone2
    ( ID varchar2(500)
    );

    insert into zone2
      (ID)
    values
      ('A');

    insert into zone2

    I use the insert select statement to transfer things in the table below
    create table zone1
    (
      ID varchar2(400),
      scanno number(30)

    );
    See my insert select below
    insert into zone1 (ID, scanno)
    select zone2.ID from zone2
    My question is so fundamentally during my select insert, I want to be able to generate random numbers from 1 to 5, it can be in order descending or not and these random numbers will be used for field scanno in zone1, so basically that's what I want to see recorded in the table of the zone1
    ID  scanno
    A        1
    B         2
    C        3
    D        4
    E        5
    F        1
    G       2

    If you really want random numbers

    insert into zone1 (ID, scanno)
      select zone2.ID, floor( dbms_random.value(0,6) )
        from zone2

  • Generation of random numbers

    I want to use this procedure to create passwords when configuring new users. I am currently using DBMS_RANDOM.value to generate a number to add to text.

    We now define the profile password hard to Guess - 'yes '.
    I can no longer use DBMS_RANDOM.value as it can contain extensible numbers so could not create the FND user account password.

    Does anyone know of another package, I can use to generate a string/number of non repetitive random? If not, are there other ways around this problem?

  • Numbered lists to spoil the sequence of numbered titles.

    I created documents with securities bunch (i.e. 1, 2, 2.1, 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.2; etc.). I created the section numbering by using the Numbering tab in the paragraph Designer. Whenever I try to insert a numbered list in the document, however, re-sequence after the list numbers, and they do so without noticeable logical order. Anyone else see this issue before?

    You use a series label to maintain the flow of separate numbering? p. ex. H:.< =0=""> for Heading1, H:. < =0=""> for Title2, H:.. for titre3, etc.

  • The generation of random number in OSB

    Hi all

    I want to generate 16 random digits in OSB. Does anyone have an idea how to do?

    Thank you

    The signature does not these use cases. Are my though process
    (1) generate UID
    (2) will do a string operation for the UID above is limited to 16 characters

    My only concern is that 2 operation could perform the uniqueness. Better would be to try the option java legend.
    Next best options would be to (don't forget that Pascal or anyone suggesting) use Oracle to get the sequence of the table which would be unique. You can search the forums for that.

  • export the sequence with numbers of real images

    Hi all

    I made my activities all projects once in a complete png sequence!

    Now, I changed a small part and wanted to make this part in the folder with the sequence already made.

    PROBLEM is that it always starts with 'ZERO '. How can I say first to do it in real framenumbers?

    Or is there a nother workflow that is similar to this technique?

    Thanks to you all

    Found a solution, because I don't know how to do this first:

    Rename the lot in the bridge.

  • Project opened random sequences

    Hello

    I have a documentary with 8 sequences project. I normally order the sequences (calendars) for my taste. But when I open the project it some closes and opens other sequences that I did not open so that the last edition and save the project.

    It is the only project that demonstrates this behavior, I have some where I open it and the order of the sequences for my taste and they open in the same order and have the same sequences that I finally used.

    If anyone has experienced this?

    You might try the trick to start a new project and import the old full one in.

  • Question on code generation of random characters.

    I did this code to generate a random key for a registration system, I get an error and can not seam to understand why, if anyone can help that would be great. Here is the code:

    function random_char ($string) {}
    $length = strlen ($string);
    $position = mt_rand(0, $length-1);
    Return ($String [$position]);
    }
    function random_string ($charset_string, $length) {}
    $return_string = "";
    for ($x < $length $x ++);

    ↑ This is line 23 here...

    $return_string. = random_char ($charset_string);

    You probably want something like:

    for ($x = 1; $x< $length;="">

    Close. It should be this:

    for ($x = 0; $x < $length; $x++) {
      // loop code goes here
    }

    The meter shall start at 0. If he starts to 1 you need this:

    for ($x = 1; $x <= $length; $x++) {
      // loop code goes here
    }

    The average condition becomes ' less than or equal to ".

  • Automatic sequencing of numbers - say the inventory by 5

    Is it possible in InDesign CS3 from 5s?  or 10s?  Or something other than 1?

    I have a table of 10-15 line where I need every line to increase by a number that is not 1.  It is 5 or 10.  And I have 300 pages of these tables before manual is a painful prospect.

    I would be grateful for any ideas.

    Shari

    I don't think you can get Indesign to do this. You might be able to achieve some kind of workaround method as having four paragraphs 'ghosts' that have numbers, but are painted in color 'paper' so that they does not print, but I doubt that it is the best solution.

    One idea would be to create a series of numbers in a program that does this kind of math - tell Excel, for example - and import (or copy and paste) this strain in Indesign.

  • By comparing a sequence of numbers

    Morning everyone,

    I have a little challenge on board and would like some ideas on how to proceed with him.

    As you are all aware of the Lotto game. You must choose 6 numbers out of 40. There are exactly 3 838 380 combinations that can be played.

    These combinations can be generated and stored in a table.

    Now say I have 1000 people playing and I would like to find a way to know how many combinations are repeating and which combinations were not played.

    How can I do?

    Kind regards
    Kevin

    I don't know exactly what your model looks like now.

    I would do it like this:

    create table played_systembet(
    systembet_id integer not null,
    systembet_type integer not null,
    c1 integer not null,
    c2 integer not null,
    c3 integer not null,
    c4 integer not null,
    c5 integer not null,
    c6 integer not null,
    c7 integer not null,
    c8 integer not null,
    c9 integer not null,
    c10 integer not null,
    primary key(systembet_id))
    ;

    alter table played_systembet
    add constraint valid_systembet
    check (
    (systembet_type=5 and c1c5 and c5>c4 and c4>c3 and c3>c2 and c2>c1);
    alter table played_combinations add constraint systembet_id_fk foreign key(systembet_id) references played_systembet(systembet_id);

    In this way, it should be able to get all the statistics you want using previous queries.

  • Generation of the sequence.

    I noticed that the sequence is generated on all cases when we use it in a select statement.

    For example I have a DECODE in the select statement and I use two sequences one if the statement is TRUE and the other when his SCYTHE. But the sequence are generated on both the two. I know this behavior but I just want to know why it happens like that.

    Here is a small example.

    A sequence is prety different, it is not a function.
    For a given sequence, Oracle only launch a sequence to each row value.
