Generation of images on the fly as a background for components

I created an application which has a cursor number with a background image. I would like to change the background image on the slider based on its position (such as selected by the user) using a partial trigger.

I was able to successfully update the background pictures if I have these images within my 'Web content' folder within my project in JDeveloper. Instead, I would like to be able to generate images as needed. These images are color gradients where the power of the gradient is based on the position of the thumb of the slider (as well as other variables defined by the user). Because there are a lot of different images that could possibly be created, I am looking to generate the images when running rather than to have hundreds of images stored somewhere.

I'm trying to generate these images using a BufferedImage that I can then write to a file. The way I've been saving to is as follows:

FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();
ServletContext sc = (ServletContext) fc.getExternalContext () .getContext ();
String path = sc.getRealPath("/") + file name;

I then create the file in the path and ImageIO allows you to write:

File f = new File (path);
ImageIO.write (bi, "png", f);

I'm saving this file path in a variable in my grain of support that I then use my ADF page to enter the background image for the slider.

Problem: when I run the page, my cursor doesn't have a background image.

Looking at the location where the file should be saved, it is actually 'save' it in a file .war, which I don't think is appropriate (or possible, in fact). Is it possible that I can save it either on the server or the client side so that the customer can see the really bottom to update using the generated image? I'm almost certain that the path that I listed above is incorrect - if it is a correct approach to this problem, where would be a suitable place?

Pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Rather than save the image to a file, why not use a Servlet to write the image on the flow of the Servlet response. Then, you do point the background image to the Servlet.

  • Photoshop CS4: Images of the workspace are dyed blue for unknown reason

    Hello world.
    The question in that I'm running does not appear very often so I thought I would go and ask away. I use Photoshop CS4 (64 bit) and when I open an image in Camera Raw, I see perfect photos as they are. By bringing the file in the workspace, however, they are immediately covered in a blue tint which makes editing VERY boring photos. I used Photoshop on this laptop for a few years and never encountered a problem like this. My screen has been calibrated using the calibration tests integrated into Windows 7. Recently, I had to reinstall my programs Adobe After buying a new internal hard drive. This means that I had a clean slate before installing Photoshop. I had to reinstall Windows itself and when buying, my laptop came with some pre-installed Dell software.

    If only there was a Dell program that handled my colors? Photoshop seems to be the only one affected program, and it is ONLY in the workspace in particular, it has so well there have a problem program. I am a student in a photography class, so any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

    Yes, it's a question of color management. Most likely your pre-installed software used a setting or a specific color profile. Check your evidence and your system color management settings.

  • The image exceeds the size to make save for Web and devices has been designed

    I just upgraded from CS3 to CS5. I assumed that save for Web & devices would have been redesigned so that it would not complain with modern large pictures they were just too big!

    However, it still doesn't work. I just do not get it. Photoshop in general now is editing of very large images. It should be able to manage them also in this function.

    Is this just a legacy message, or is it really true that this feature can only manage small images?

    Save for web is designed to optimize the web graphics by squeezing the bytes while retaining the quality.  It was not intended to scale and then optimize large images. This is shown in the alert message.

    You can present a feature request to Adobe to change the original intent of SFW.

    SFW can display 4 versions of an image in different types of optimization. We must save the 4 temporary files. Imagine trying to save a huge image 4 times at a time through the "File-Save As. That's why you see this warning message. It takes time to build these temporary files, especially when you throw a huge file at home.

    Consider a solution scripted this one where a copy of your image is first reduced and then transferred to SFW.

  • Problem of recovering files after completing the reduced image of the system

    I wanted a quick and easy way to remove bloatware on my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop and I recently found the option to minimize the system image.  During execution of the task, I was given the option to first back all my files and I thought it was excellent.  After waiting 2 hours for her to create the backup, he created a 67.5 GB file on my backup drive and then proceeds to reduce to a minimum the system image.  While he was complete my phone restarted and went through all the steps of setting up for first use.  When everything was done, I plugged my backup disk and navigated to the folder of recovery of file titled "Backup_2011-10-28 125331.  In the file was a file "Recovery.exe" so I guess that I just had to run the file and everything would be restored.  However, he did create a file on the C: drive in the "System Recovery Files" which basically looks like a simple list of files.  The file that was done was only 12 GB, which makes no sense given that the backup folder initial took 67.5 GB on my backup drive.

    I assumed that this recovery file would simply perform a system recovery, restore all files created by the user where they were originally and basically to restore my system to how it was before reducing the image of the system, except of course for the fact that the image of the system would be less.  I was wrong to assume that or am I not successfully restore my system?  When enter windows and attempt to restore the backup created by some HP program that did it, the file is not even given as a possible source of save.  How can I get my computer to where it was before the restoration?  I had more than 100 GB of music, games and programs out there that are now lost and trying to remember what I lost everything will be very tedious, not to mention how long to actually get all the files.  Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

    OK, what I learned hae is the backup created during the copy just for the recovery of all the files in the format of the image (management of stormwater in case you), the restore.exe was never to return to the original lcations since maybe it's different, so there just pictures of stormwater management to normal files and dumps then converts into a folder to restore you It is up to you to sort through them and put them in the appropriate places, stupid I agree, but that's the way it was designed.

    Back to your problem, I would like to rename this "System Recovery Files" System Recovery Files 2 folder, then try the recovery.exe once again, see if there is no option during recovery, make sure you select all files if given a chance, see if it produces more files than he did the first time.

    If this does not work there is a way to convert all the files management of stormwater to 1 wim file and then mount the wim file in explorer to copy the files you need from the image, it's very complicated process which I've never tried it myself.

  • Preview image in the module development temporarily turning very dark during loading.

    After the last LR update, when I'm in the develop module and click on a thumbnail, the image in the main window normally displays for a few seconds, then turns very dark for a few seconds, then finally appears back to normal.

    This only happens with each image all the time, and even with the same image, it only happens every time (about 90% of the time, however).  Sometimes if I then click on another image, then go back to the first, it is not black at all.  Also, while most of the images turn VERY dark; some just dim.  The coincidence is strange.

    I guess it's just a load issue (although there is sometimes no message "loading" Golden spinning-wheel) and it isn't a huge problem, but it's annoying and it slows down my work flow.

    When importing, I select "build 1:1 previews." I take pictures with my Nikon RAW and RAW + jpg with my Fujis and it comes up with all these files, as well as saved PSD files. Yet once, it is not arrived before the last update.

    Is this some kind of memory with LR problem or a problem with the catalogue?

  • Keyboard shortcut for "next" and "previous image", or the previous and following layers

    Hello

    I host and I like drawing with Photoshop paint tools, but to animate I need to "flip" - which is just quickly move from one drawing to the next, as you would with sheets of paper size: hunting and clicking the arrows is not feasible.

    Shortcut keys, or assignable buttons for previous and next images in the animation - or, more simple, for the previous and following layers function keys - would solve this problem completely.  This improvement could make Photoshop a viable animation program, in competition with paper plastic and Flipbook Animation.

    Is there at least a way I can download an add-on that would do this?

    Thank you

  • Why change the background image of the dashboard of data crash the app?

    I'm changing the background image of my dashboard (on a third generation iPad).  Whenever I try to make the change, the data dashobard app breaks down just.  Even if I try to change to a color, the application crashes.  I can insert a picture without problem.  I guess it's just a bug or something but has anyone else seen this problem?

    I was able to reproduce this crash with the following steps:

    -Set up a background image of a page

    -Copy the dashboard somehow. You can reproduce the dashboard, share by email, export and re - import OR clouds, etc.

    -Open the copy of dashboard

    -From the copy, change the background image (for a solid color or another image)

    If you set a background image of a page, close and reopen your dashboard and then try to change the background to something else, you will encounter this error.

    Solution: If you have the original background image in your Camera Roll, you can fall as an image on the same page (Photo Palette, select in the library). Then you can remove this image and change the background also image.

    If you do not have the original image, you may need to start with a new dashboard. (For each page on the old dashboard, you can tap the bottom, select all, copy / paste on another dashboard).

    There is a similar problem with images removed, if you shared the dashboard and you work on a copy. In this case, the solution is to copy and paste the image before deleting. (Otherwise, you'll get a dialog error instead of an accident, but the image is not clear).

    I deposited cars for these issues internally. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • DAQ trigger on-the-fly reconfiguration

    Hello

    What is the correct way to reconfigure a data acquisition on the fly?

    Every 100 s I'm doing a 2000 point 4-channel triggered acquisition (sampling rate 50000)

    As a function of household, that I also want to monitor the voltage of one of the channels so that every 2 s, I do a single-point acquisition no trigger.

    Since I don't have access to a piece of the DAQ hardware, that I have to share channels between the two tasks of reconfiguration on the fly.

    (the program is too big / complex to post sorry)

    Initialize channels and relaxation (happens once at the beginning of the program):

    Get data every 100 s:

    Each 2 s get one sample of multichannel without triggering then restore the trigger:

    Please could someone explain when I have to use the 'task to start', 'stop task' and 'commit' aid is rather vague and unfortunately I find myself 'hacking' until it works, which is not the way I like to work! I use a USB-6211.

    The above program works OK, but has an intermittent (approx. every 10mins) error on the 'shutdown task"before returning to the trigger. (memory, the description was 'Task not over data acquisition')

    Thank you

  • fecthing image of the address book in time

    I use this code to get the image in address book and display in the main screen. But it takes a lot of time when I hv great number of contacts. Is there a better way

    If (c.countValues (BlackBerryContact.PHOTO) > 0) {}
    Byte [] photoEncoded = c.getBinary (BlackBerryContact.PHOTO, 0);
    Byte [] photoDecoded = null;
    try {}
    photoDecoded = Base64InputStream.decode (photoEncoded, 0, photoEncoded.length);
    } catch (IOException e) {}
    Generative TODO catch block
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }
    contactPic = EncodedImage.createEncodedImage (photoDecoded, 0, photoDecoded.length);

    }

    }

    Yes, exactly, this encoding takes a long time. Now I have modified the method and returns the bytes instead of the encoded image and the prob is solved

  • Need help with workflow to criticize the images of the student

    We used Lightroom CC to criticize images students workshop by import of each card and then work in the develop Module to try different culture, exhibition, etc. Process import/copy files got the largest, became too long for each card. We want to use the Add option, but of course, it is not available when importing from a card SD/CF.

    I need in the catalog previews pretty long to select a half dozen with them to review/edit. The changes are mainly to show how they can adjust their framing and exposure in the future, don't not to teach fitting, so they published versions have no special value.

    I'd rather leave the files on student cards, create standard previews when importing and only create previews of 1:1 on the fly for the images that we edit in fact, usually 5-6 of each session. While criticizing us, then eject and pop in the next map, I leave the card in the reader (USB 3.0).

    They shoot in RAW and would not lose quality by switching to a compressed format or JPG format. Some could be prepared to shoot RAW + JPG for the workshop and simply import the jpg to criticize, but that presents them with a problem of management of file and possibly lowered an image quality for mounting piece.

    Any suggestions? I would like to stay with LR to do this, at least there is no good option in LR, because I also teach LR in the workshop, but would consider another tool or add-in, if it was the best option.

    Thank you very much for Maine.

    This is not an option with LR. For any image to display in LR and any changes that will be her the leader/s must be copied to a physical HARD drive that is connected to the system. Memory cards are not treated as physical disks and I don't know anyway to change this in LR

    I suggest that you try Adobe Bridge and then use ACR directly from bridge to make your editing. All functions in ACR are the same as in the module development of LR and you won't have to copy the images to the hard drive first, push as far as I know. I just tested that and it seems to work fine, except that no sidecard the XMP files are created on the memory card. If the changes could only be stored in the cache ACR system and all changes are lost once the card is ejected.

  • How can I insert image into the image in adobe first pro cc 2015

    How can I insert image into the image in adobe first pro cc 2015. I want to put a fixed image on a video sequence as a pip.

    1 import the photo into your project (CTL-I or just drag & drop in the project Panel)

    2 dag photo imported on your timeline in a track located above the video you already have.

    3. click the clip of the photo in the timeline panel and then click on the control panel of the effect of the Source Panel tab.

    4. here you can resize, move, and even rotate the picture of the "query" fixed effect.  You can use the sliders or click on the area next to the word "Query" and use your mouse to do everything from the program Panel.

    Good luck and have fun.  BTW: once you get it you like, you can even animate the PIP to fly in or any other movement, you can think of with keyframes.

  • First image in the Gallery is stuck

    I work with an image gallery and the first image in the transition are stuck at the bottom of the file, but the remaining images fly just in place.

    I have a sneaking suspicion it may have something to do with my position somewhere or my interpolation. I added a global variable, thinking it may have something to do with the garbage collection causing my tween to stop partially, but it does not solve the problem. The problem is the following line in the section "else", possibly in conflict with other interpolation assigned to the object.  Comment that out and things should work as expected.  I suggest the conditional together after all the photoBMP/photoBack code... the logic being, the image in the process first, then proceed to process the other, not the other way around.  According to Kenneth, you should not use the same var for all tweens.

    imgTween = new TweenLite (photoContainer, tweenDuration, {rotation: 0,})

    :Expo.easeInOut}) ease;
