fecthing image of the address book in time

I use this code to get the image in address book and display in the main screen. But it takes a lot of time when I hv great number of contacts. Is there a better way

If (c.countValues (BlackBerryContact.PHOTO) > 0) {}
Byte [] photoEncoded = c.getBinary (BlackBerryContact.PHOTO, 0);
Byte [] photoDecoded = null;
try {}
photoDecoded = Base64InputStream.decode (photoEncoded, 0, photoEncoded.length);
} catch (IOException e) {}
Generative TODO catch block
e.printStackTrace ();
}
contactPic = EncodedImage.createEncodedImage (photoDecoded, 0, photoDecoded.length);

}

}

Yes, exactly, this encoding takes a long time. Now I have modified the method and returns the bytes instead of the encoded image and the prob is solved

  • What does Time Machine to the top of the address book?

    I use OS X El Capitan (10.11.5) and AddressBook application.

    I created a bunch of groups in the address book and must have one accidentally deleted because he disappeared. I use Time Machine and it seems to be compatible with the address book, so I thought I could just go back to an older version, but I can't seem to make it work.

    If I enter Time Machine from the address book application, I see the old backups to return indefinitely. I have chosen one a week ago and restored, but I don't see the old group. In fact, there are always new groups that I just created today.

    So I did not understand what actually have backed up by Time Machine. Is this just backup contact records, but not groups?

    When I restore, it restores the entire database or just a folder that I'm looking?

  • How to open the address book in the address book already used?

    Previous versions of ThunderBird would open for the last opened address book address books. Now, it always opens to the gathered addresses. Can I make it open to the specific address book that I used last time?

    If you use the latest version 38.2.0
    Previously, the 'address book' would always open on the default "personal address book" value as it was the top of the list.

    Then, after many requests by a group of people who wanted to be able to search all their address books in a go, a virtual address book called "All address books" was created.

    This meant it would always default to opening on the ' address books all the "whenever you opened the 'address book' even in the same session of thunderbird.
    A bug request has been filed requesting the opportunity to be able to establish a default address book of choice, and it is developing.

    At the same time, we discovered that the window 'write' Contacts Sidebar me remember a selected address book providing Thunderbird had not been closed - only not forget in this session. Thus, they are also looking to set a default address for this as well, so that Contacts sidebar does not auto by default to "All address books" every time thunderbird is closed and the end of the session.

    The ' address books all the ' currently showing all of all your books address including "collected addresses".

  • When I transfer mail, if I click a recipient and hit return, the name of the recipient is replaced by another name in the address book.

    When I transfer the mail on ICC, if I click a recipient and hit back, the recipient's name is replaced by a different name in the address book.

    It's bug and the bug fixers are working on it as soon as possible.

    The error only occurs if you use the key "TAB" or "Enter".
    So if you physically use the mouse to select recipients, and then click on in the other field, etc. - do not use TAB or Enter, then the fault does not occur.
    As an alternative, I highly recommend that you use the following method in the selection of contacts in new e-mail messages or in the transmission of emails.

    In a new message of Scripture
    Use the "Contacts sidebar". See the image below.
    If you do not see, then activate.
    'View' > "Contacts Sidebar" or toggle the view using the f9 key
    Select the address book
    Select the contacts
    Click on the button 'TO Addto' or one of the other options.

    Open "address book".
    Select the address book that you want to export.

    See the first picture below

    This should open a window "Export Address Book".
    Usually, he chooses a generic file location that can be accessed before saving files. See third picture below. In your case, it seems that you see this window with the profile indicated instead. No worries, simply select the right directory.

    If you see the profile folder - you do not want to export an address book in your profile - it's already there as a mbox file. Do not select this place - you have to choose a location outside Thunderbird.

    First, you will need to choose where to save the file. Select the correct directory and folder where you want to export the file to. Identical to save any document you have to choose where to save it.
    See the second image as an example on the choice of a different location or use the left file pane to select.

    In my example - see third picture below.

    Give a name appropriate to address book file.
    Save as Type: choose LDIF or comma separated .csv
    Click on the button Save.

I will admit that I do not understand the menu you want to move the two columns from top to bottom after importing the csv file. Please can you explain what I'm doing wrong here. All I want is first name, last name and email showing in the address book. Thank you

    I tried to write a procedure to http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/importing-csv-files.html some time ago here. but the thing is if you change the columns in the CSV file in a spreadsheet, first match that Thunderbird expected (both in name and order), then you don't need to play with this terrible UI that aligns with the name of the field name of the field.

  • in Outlook Express, how can I send the same message to a group important (in the address book already), but have to each recipient can only see his name (not the Group)

    In Outlook Express, how can I send the same message to the large group (already in the address book), but have to each recipient can only see his name (not the Group)?

    To use the functionality of the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), in a new message window, click View | All headers and type the addresses separated by a; Or: Click the button to. You will see your list of contacts and the choice to put them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, and then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all of the contacts you want. (Note: most of the providers have limits as to how many messages you can send both a. 25 is common, but it varies).

    Put your own address in the box to. That's the only name/address that any recipient will see. If you leave the field empty, some people may not receive e-mail because of message rules they put in place, or restrictions imposed by their ISP.

    You can also make an entry in the address book using your e-mail address, but put something like the mailing list in the area of the display.

    *********************

    You can also create groups if you send e-mail to the same people often.

    To create a group of contacts:

    You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

    1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.
    2. the Properties dialog box opens. In the group name box, type the name of the group.
    3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
    a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
    (b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
    to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
    (d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.
    4. Repeat for each addition until your group is defined.

    Note

    a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.

    b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

    If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address. (Some Internet service providers require a legitimate address in the line to and recipients will know it's from the Group).

    Click on the button to. Enter the name of the group using your address. Enter the group in the BCC field.

  • Request for information/blackBerry Smartphones: where is the address book/contacts stored in the BB Torch 9800

    Hello everyone, could someone tell me where exactly is the address book / contacts stored by default in the BB Torch 9800, IE; in memory of mobile phone, the SIM card (I don't think) or in the micro SD card card (multimedia card)? Thanks a lot for your answers. Best regards, Eric

    Edit: Deleted email. At any time if you provide personal information to any other Member of the community. Please visit the Community Terms & Conditions and community support guidelines for more information.

    More precisely in the device memory. Not in the media card or the SIM card.

    It is where they are stored by default and cannot be changed.

    You can save contacts to your SIM card, but only one number per name, no address, no email address, etc.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not add more contacts to the address book

    Hello

    I have a blackberry curve 8520.

    for the momment I 288 contacts but I can not add more. I go to the menu, address book, new contact, the window give me options, I add the information (name, phone, e-mail, etc.) and when I want to save the contact he does not save

    I tried to restart the removing the battery for a minute and reboot, but always with the same problem.

    Also, I figured out that when synchronize my bb with Desktop Manager, the address book is not sync that it says (address book not installed) and this is why I can't drag contacts to reinstall the info because I don't have to return to the top of the address book

    Please I need help with this question

    Thank you

    While there is no limit on how many contacts you can have on your device, there is a soft limit that you can have as many times as the memory of your device can handle. Check the available memory to see if you have any remaining space. If this isn't the case, then consider cleaning out / uninstallation of some things that you don't need to increase the memory available to more contacts.

  • Tour of blackBerry 9630 - entries in the address book multiple Smartphones / synchronize with Outlook 2007

    All data in Outlook is OK.  After the initial synchronization with Tower, everything looks OK.  After the opening address book two or three times, some entries

    are fine – others are duplicated 4 X (categories have disappeared in all the dups).

    I tried to overwrite the data on the device with Outlook data, but the problem resurfaces every time.

    That is what it is?

    Hello jaking777,

    You can try the following:

    Backup your data to the device as shown here. (We would not need the backup, but it is recommended any time you make a change to the data on the device).

    Delete folder Intellisync on your PC as shown here. (This will reset your configuration of PIM in the Desktop Manager).

    Clear the address book on the BlackBerry as described here only the task 2. (This will remove all contacts from the device in order to ensure that your data in Outlook are first updated.)

    Go back to the Desktop Manager and reconfigure your synchronization as shown here , then test the synchronization once more.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not see contacts in the address book after you synchronize with PocketMac

    Model 8830. Macintosh OS 10.5.8. Latest version of PocketMac SYncManager 1.2 (1.4).

    Contacts have been working well. I have sync'd with PocketMac by ticking the peripheral crush, and first of all, I had a lot of duplicate addresses. Second sync seemed to delete ALL my contacts, but by checking the properties of the address book, it shows the 706 entries (twice what a book Mac address

    .)

    Nothing not done, I ran twice SyncClean and 'Reset all devices to the first SYnc State'. I have re-started the Mac and Blackberry several times.

    What to do next?

    I deleted all my data via the Options > Security Options > then wipe Handheld. Necessary for the re-registration

    the BB with the carrier and then by downloading my backed up address book & calendar

    Re-creation of speed dials, themes, ringtones, etc., but it cures the problem of address book.

    My calendar now has 3 copies of holiday in the United States, but I can live with that.

    I find it interesting that nowhere on the site Web Blackberry or PocketMac is there any

    clue on how to clean a calendar book or address munged. Maybe the next

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager will fix this problem.
