Generic Apache, WebLogic Server plugin 1.1 + forms + reports
HelloWe are planning an HA configuration for application forms-States. Environments should be divided between two VLAN (FrontEnd and BackEnd)
VLAN FE contains the Web (Apache WebCache) layer
BE WHAT VLAN contains WLS Server + forms and reports.
The closest match to this configuration, I found in a document
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/availability/MAA-EDG-frd-129690.PDF
In this installation/configuration, step by step, we use Web Tier utilities bundle at the front.
I assume that the combination of support is OHS + mod_wl_ohs.
Could we replace the Web Tier utilities bundle with a generic combination Apache + mod_wl (WebLogic Server plugin 1.1).
The idea is
--> Ssl--> [restrict] ssl-> 2 or more [generic Apache + WebLogic Server plugin 1.1] - > | Firewall | -> 8 x [WLS + forms + reports]
Platform is RedHat Linux 64 bit, SW of Oracle all the newer versions.
Would it be an alternative care?
Thank you very much.
Best regards
Ondrej
Ondrej,
You can do so using the WLS Plugins 1.1, like mod_wl (for generic apache) and mod_wl_ohs (for OHS 11 g) is the same.
He prefers to use the server of HTTP Oracle 11 g with mod_wl_ohs because it is tested it in combination with other Fusion Middleware products, such as forms and reports. If you use a generic Apache, there are verses differences Oracle HTTP Server. It would be easier to configure and manage the OSH/mod_wl_ohs compatible together. For example, use of a configuration console and all two are updated with 11.1.1.x patchsets. If there is a problem specific to Apache (but not mod_wl), then Oracle can also address this question more easily if the OHS/mod_wl_ohs. Currently, there are no problems known between the two, but I'm not aware of a lot of generic customers using Apache as well as Fusion Middleware products.

Please help create an architecture for Forms 11 g on WebLogic Server
Dear all,
We intend to deploy Oracle Forms and reports GR 11, 2 on Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6 on AIX.
In addition, we intend to create a domain in WebLogic 11 g for the high availability solution.
At present, we have four cases (Live, QA, UAT and development) of the applications deployed on Oracle Application Server 10 g.
Please help create architecture, optimization of resources.
Can we deploy all instances of the application four (Live, UAT, development and QA) to single instance of WebLogic Server unique? or do we have to install separately to four WebLogic instances on separate servers?
References to documents are much appreciated (step-by-step specially :-)).
Thanks in advance.
Lacotte
Hi Lacotte,
you are able to install all the applications forms on the only field of forms / Instance. You can create separate sections in your formsweb.cfg file.
But I recommend you to separate four environment: 4 x forms Installation in 4 separate servers.
Four production I'd do decide to install forms in the Cluster for HA.

One step back, please!
There are some mixture upwards with your installation of jdev and some other installation (may be an older jdev). I installed jdev on mashines much and never had this problem (regardless of version). In your case, it seems that you had a previous version installed and installed 11.1.2.3.0 in the former home of middleware project. Your classpath contains a reference to an old jdk (1.6.0_24) that doesn't exist on your current installation (it uses 1.6.0_35).
Yet once, I've never had to add the welblogic.jar to the viewcontroller project. This is done automatically if you choose to start a new "Fusion Web Application".My advice is to uninstall all versions of jdev you have on your system, then delete all the folders of middleware which are always present, check your home folder of the user (if you use windows) for any substance remaining jdev and delete then too. Then, install the jdev studio 11.1.2.3.0 version again.

When you perform the installation by default, there is no need to specify the list of products at silent.xml. I use the text depending .cmd file (you can convert this to .sh) and silent.xml for install for quite awhile and it works well.
Silent.cmd
-------------
REM run the installer in silent mode
off @echo

@rem return an exit code to indicate success or failure of the installation
define exit_code = %ERRORLEVEL%@echo.
@echo Exitcode = exit_code % %
@echo.
@echo exit Code key

@echo 0 = installation completed successfully

Install and configure the Apache HTTP server plug-in
Hello
I use WL10.3 in a Linux machine.
I have an environment where I have one WL server in a domain which is deployed with the web application
And I have another area where I have two managed servers in a cluster that is deployed with the company.
Now, I want to configure Apache HTTP server to make it work as a proxy with the weblogic.
In my current scenario, the proxies of one seed server req in the cluster and that is defined in a jndi.properties.
Now, what should I do if I want to use the Apache
I have the following questions:
1 forget my env, generally how to install and configure Apache HTTP plugin?
I see that we have already seen libproxy_61.so file in /bea/wlserver_10.3/server/plugin/linux/i686
Do I need to install the patch even then as said in http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/wls-security/2793.html?
2. While am adding the lines in the httpd.conf file.
LoadModule modules/mod_wl_22.so weblogic_module
If I put ibproxy_61.so instead of mod_wl_22.so in this line?
3. While configuring the proxy server, balancing and session replication will be assured?
4. and for my setup, as stated at the beginning, a few lines, which may be the best architecture?
Your help is really appreciated.Hi Subh
1 so all external requests go to the single domain server with MoreWeb app. In this scenario, you don't need any additional Proxy Apache server. Because the basic concept of the Apache Web server is to route multiple applications on a cluster of managed servers. In your case, it is a single server, you don't need any additional Web front server. Now you have these EJB on another area that is clustered. I guess you use search standard JNDI to access the EJB. So, how do you make sure that only MoreWeb app requests are load balanced to the EJB. As each subsidiary request for EJB must go to MS1 and MS2 as robin in default mode. First request to MoreWeb need access EJB of MS1. Second request for MoreWeb need access EJB MS2 etc. This means in theory, you should have an Apache Web Server before the second area something like that. You have any servlet default weblogic cluster already deployed to the second area. Otherwise use that or care of apache in etc. Then in MoreWeb App when you search the EJB, make sure that you give the address Cluster and the direct port instead of the host/port MS1 or MS2. This Web server should in turn make the round robin for EJB on second domain clustered. When you get the InitialContext object instead of using empty default constructor as new InitalContext(), you may need to use something like InitalContext (aMap) new aMap corresponding to a hash table with the properties for the provider url, etc. etc. You can see the docs for more details. Here is the link for the EJB Clustering. See the section on EJBhttp://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E12840_01/WLS/docs103//cluster/load_balancing.html
Hope this helps

Integration of Enterprise Manager with Weblogic Server 12.1.3?
Hello
My Weblogic Server is 12.1.3. I use the same for the deployment of applications built on Jdeveloper 12.1.3.
I'm new to JDeveloper 12 c. I worked on JDeveloper 11 g and weblogic 10.36.
In weblogic 10.36 I had integrated the EM with the help of available here of BCI to installation (ofm_appdev_generic_11.1.1.6.0): https://oracle-base.com/articles/11g/weblogic-11g-adf-application-development-runtime-update-on-oracle-linux#adf-11-1-1-6-upgrade
Now, I installed the generic Setup for weblogic 12.1.3 and want to integrate EM with her. Can someone share an overview on where to find BCI to installation for the same.
I searched but he was able to find the following: Oracle Enterprise Manager Downloads
I don't know if it is the installation that I need to install on my Weblogic 12.1.3
Thank you
Hi guys,.
I was able to understand. After the installation of weblogic server 12 c get Downloads of Application Development FrameworkApplication Development Runtime configuration.
Install the configuration at the same location where you installed the weblogic server. During installation, you will find that the MA will now be installed.
Thank you

Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6
Hi all
I want to test the installation 10.3.6 weblogic Server
I am looking for the download and I saw this:
Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6
Installers with Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle coherence and Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse:
- Linux x 86 with 32-bit JVM (1.5 GB)
- Windows x 86 with 32-bit JVM (1.5 GB)
- Mac OS X with 32-bit JVM (1.7 GB)
My server is Linux x 86-64. Is this 32 bit to install? or are there any Weblogic 64 bit Installer?
Thank you very much
JC
For 64-bit Linux systems, you can download the "Oracle WebLogic Server 11 GR 1 material (10.3.6) + consistency - Package Installer" generic Setup tab "additional platforms.
For more details
There is no group of Linux 64-bit with Oracle WebLogic Server 11 GR 1 material (10.3.6), consistency of the Oracle, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (Doc ID 1497497.1) -
I installed Jdeveloper 12.1.3 and practice a sample from the link below.

You can try and increase the settings memory used by WebLogic.
Change the C:\Users\pk\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system12.1.3.0.41.140521.1008\DefaultDomain\bin\setDomainEnv
and set the Xms - & - Xmx be double what they are now.

Hi all
I downloaded Oracle EBS https://edelivery.oracle.com/EPD/ 12.2.0 and selected for "outsourced manufacturing and Oracle for discrete Industries R12.2 V5 (12.2.3) v1, Linux x 86-64" on the page
downloaded the files required for the staging area, in the Linux x86_64 gave error for "file name V29856 - 01.zip Oracle WebLogic Server 11 GR 1 material (10.3.6) Generic and coherence but on oracle delivery page, I can only find Oracle WebLogic Server 11 GR 1 material (10.3.6) and coherence for the file name of Linux x 86" : V29851 - 01.zip which is already uploaded on the stage space, how can I find the file in the site or should I rename to V29856 - 01.zip you please help me on this problem.
Thank you
JAI Srinivas.
Srinivas,
I think I got an idea after reading it several times
This is what I understood
checksum is a failure, so you use version 12.2 Overview disk file (1320300.1) to find which zip file must be downloaded. The overview shows V29856 - 01.zip downloaded but delivery file only has V29851 - 01 V29856 - 01.zip instead.
I remember something like downloaded this sometimes return that I did checksum digest view used to check the integrity of files and went ahead with the buildstage.sh script to build the stadium. I have been able to complete installation without problems.
You could try the same thing or try to rename as you suggest.
I also recommend to contact support so that you will be clear and they will get to know.

Administration server and the servers managed (WebLogic Server).
Hello
What are Server Administration and managed servers , I saw these words as I read the installation guide for WebLogic server,
but I don't know what they are?
I saw them while I was reading on the Node manager that allows me to start the above mentioned.
-J' installs the WebLogic to develop applications with oracle reports and forms services.
1 - do I need a node Manager, Administration Server or managed servers?
2. is the Manager nodes, Server Administration or servers managed as EnterPrise data control manager ?
Thank you very much
Answers to most of your questions WLS lie in WLS documentation:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E23943_01/Web.1111/e13752/TOC.htm
However, a simple answer to your questions could be summed up as follows.
If you are familiar with older versions of application server version 10, which include OC4J as its Java container, as a managed WLS server is basically the same thing. In the context of WLS, a managed server is responsible for hosting java applications on the server side. For example, Oracle Forms Servlet. The WLS management server is actually a java application deployed on a managed server. So, really, the "Admin" server is a kind of "Managed Server". In a typical installation of forms/States, you will find that at least three 3 managed servers are created automatically for you:
- Server Admin
- WLS_FORMS
- WLS_REPORTS
Node Manager is a separate process that is used to allow the two directors of the WLS environment such as command line allowing the administrator of the server to communicate with other servers managed, local or remote.
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E25178_01/Web.1111/e13740/overview.htm
Then, for simply "run" apply (forms, for example), all you need is the managed server that hosts the forms Servlet. However, if you want to change the configuration via a web interface, you must also run the administration server (and Node Manager).
All these components are much more complex than what I've described here. I would recommend to consider the documentation if you are interested in learning about them. That said, the best way to really learn about them likely will be to install the product and start using it.

Hello
I'm trying to uninstall the WebLogic 12 c (12.1.3.0) server in silent mode
In my house of MiddleWare, I have:
-WebLogic Server 12 c
-Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure
I created two response files to uninstall mode
For FMW:
[ENGINE]
#DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
Response = 1.0.0.0.0 file version
[GENERIC]
#This will be empty when there is nothing to be uninstalled at the distribution level
SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION = Server WebLogic for FMW ~ 12.1.3.0.0
#The oracle home rental. This can be an existing Oracle home or a new Oracle home
ORACLE_HOME = / oracle/app/env/dev/adf12/installation
For WebLogic:
[ENGINE]
#DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
Response = 1.0.0.0.0 file version
[GENERIC]
#This will be empty when there is nothing to be uninstalled at the distribution level
SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION = Server WebLogic ~ 12.1.3.0.0
#The oracle home rental. This can be an existing Oracle home or a new Oracle home
ORACLE_HOME = / oracle/app/env/dev/adf12/installation
I use this command to start the uninstall:
/Oracle/app/env/dev/ADF12/installation/Oui/bin/DEINSTALL.sh-silent - reponseFile /oracle/Install12C/files/silent-deinstall-weblogic-infrastructure.txt
The output is:
Launcher est/tmp/OraInstall2015-03-24_03-31-23PM/launcher2015-03-24_03-31-23PM.log log file.
There are several distributions installed in Oracle Home/oracle/app/env/dev/adf12/installation.
Please specify a unique distribution
using the - distributionName and - distributionVersion options.
That means that I have to specify - distributionName but I do not know its value...
Any ideas?
Concerning
OK I found the solution:
To find distributionName and distributionVersion, divide the SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION property in responsefile by ~.
So for FMW
"/Oracle/app/env/dev/ADF12/installation/oui/bin/DEINSTALL.sh-silent - reponseFile /oracle/Install12C/files/silent-deinstall-weblogic-infrastructure.txt - distributionName" WebLogic Server for FMW '-' 12.1.3.0.0 distributionVersion '.
FOR WEBLOGIC
/Oracle/app/env/dev/ADF12/installation/Oui/bin/DEINSTALL.sh-silent - reponseFile /oracle/Install12C/files/silent-deinstall-weblogic.txt - distributionName "WebLogic Server" - distributionVersion ' 12.1.3.0.0'
I think it might be a good idea to uninstall process (with responsefile parameter) might distribute the property SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION, because if we specify it in the command line, why use a reponseFile?
I hope that could help.
