  Can you please tell us which version of Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), you installed this Equium L300 model you have exactly?

  In your case, I'll try a different driver. Currently for Equium L300 no webcam Windows 7 driver available but for similar L300 Satellite you will already find a webcam driver. You should try this one and post your result. Maybe it will work. :)

  my hard drive is physically damaged and replaced with a new one. All the data and setting have been copied.

  Satellite A660-156 belongs to the PSAW3E series.
  Did you find this series on the Toshiba driver page?

  This series is in the list and you can find the drivers for Win 7 64 bit it.

  You can find the Webcam driver v 1.1.1.16 for Win 7 64-bit and two different audio drivers;
  It is NVIDIA v 1.0.10.0 and the other is v Realtek 6.0.1.6069

  I think you need the first v 1.0.10.0

  I also have the same problem on windows 7, so I tried to install Ubuntu OS along side windows and the cam works on Ubuntu. so I use Ubuntu for tha cam and windows for the other members of the staff. I know its disturbing but it's better than nothing
