Get a wrong location in blackberry GPS

Hello

I developed a blackberry based GPS application. When I use this app on road in the clear sky, a few times it gives me before my location. As a result, I get wrong on google map.

Help, please.

Thanks in advance.

I guess that's probably pretty specific to your application.

However, if you take (for example) a reading every 10 seconds and you get a reading that is 10 miles from your last known location, so of course, this location must be discarded.

  • Calendar cards Gets the wrong location

    If I open Maps, type in a destination and set it to go home' - it does - no problem.

    If I set a location to the calendar and travel time from home' - again - the arrow.

    But... Click on the graphic of map of the calendar to open cards, and suddenly I live half a mile from the destination (rather than 40 years).

    I tried - as suggested - change my contact card (I changed to 'Home' for the 'work' and changed "Rd" to "Road" - just so that I changed SOMETHING). Removed the appointment. Stop cards and calendar. Calendar has reopened and put in the nomination. This time I went "Home" - all good.

    Click on the open cards - this time I lived elsewhere. Still hurt and still less than half a mile from the destination, but bad nonetheless.

    I tried to put in a new destination directly into maps defining this route, then return to the calendar and redo the previous series of tedious actions: same issue - although sometimes I still moved house.

    This happened just after the last update - that was for Cyberduck! I suspect that they are not related. But I'm not, so understand what has happened to make the change.

    Any wisdom on this?

    Concerning

    I think we have agreed that the problem is that it is there no LocationProvider or the getLocation is not a place, so to determine which of them seems to be the best place to start.  As you test on the device, you must debug on the device, you can connect by USB, starting the JDE, using the Debug/Attach To / Pocket PC, then select USB connected device.

    From there, you should be able to use the JDE debug, but according to levels, this sometimes does not work so well for me.  So I would like to add three statements of System.out.println (...), one at the beginning of the loop and the others inside each of the ' if.  This load on the device, then, once debugging started, simply wait for the missing output for each loop!

  • How can I get exact latitude and longitude by GPS to PhoneGap.

    I use geolocation plugin to get lat, long but it still fluctuates after the fourth decimal place (means give fluctuation of 11 m from my current position). I tried to search on this problem and I got GPS (GPS + Glonass) Fixer (download mirror one... |) Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100, N7105 , but do not know how to use it. So, can we use gps + glonass to phonegap to get the exact location if that please give me a better solution to get the right latitude longitude. Please suggest me.

    Short answer: forget it.

    Longer answer: as any geocacher known, the GPS is not reliable per metre (3 ft). May fluctuate, and once you're in the right place, you know that you could be several metres (20 ft) wide.

    Hello

    Please can you check which version you are using? The current version is 5.0.1.624. If you have not yet installed the patch released in December 2010, do it. It is possible using help, updated. I tried the workflow of a project with an object hits the scale reduction and it resizes correctly without changing the location. I activate the option "resize legends,..." and other objects.

    You can add an ApplicationMenuItem to the card program. When you menu item is selected, the location (lat/lon) is sent to your application.

  • Storm Smartphones TELUS blackBerry, gps location satellite problem help?

    Hi, I had the version of telus to the storm today, updated software, pulled battery.

    as soon as I got it, I tested it on the bbmaps on gps and he finds 10 satellites.  I charged the phone and then I couldn't find more satellites, I tried flying around my car, I tried, just walk outside.

    I had a similar problem with the telus htc touch pro.  It would work once they have activated the phone after an hour or so there problems of location satellite signal, but only once in a little while I might be able to lock.

    I don't know if they did this on purpose so that I have to use their paid browser or that there is some conflict with the gps settings.

    CUS, in this case on 2 different phone, but after that the first hours of the couple the gps is not completely disabled because I was able to lock more but very rarely.

    any ideas?

    Problem solved, anyone with a gps problem should just look for the fix of storm from telus on google

    you will need to change some IPS with the software so that it allows you to lock onto satellite.

    The reason why it worked for me at first is because the phone probably already got activated for the telus network not had the possibility to change the settings on the phone.after that the gps is really limited.  can connect to a gps 1% or less of the time.

    but after that the gps fix can be locked in a few seconds, even indoors.

  • Cannot get the cell location is some devices?

    Hello

    I have problems with the location of the cell to get woithout GPS but the LocationProvider instance is always null.

    I use this criterion:

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Criteria = new Criteria();
    criteria.setHorizontalAccuracy (Criteria.NO_REQUIREMENT);
    criteria.setVerticalAccuracy (Criteria.NO_REQUIREMENT);
    criteria.setCostAllowed (true);
    criteria.setPreferredPowerConsumption (Criteria.POWER_USAGE_LOW);

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Get the location provider:

    ---------------------------------------------------

    LocationProvider locationProvider = LocationProvider.getInstance (criteria);

    ---------------------------------------------------

    is ALWAYS null.

    I check in a bold 9000 and a curve 8900and after seeing this page...

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800703/What_Is...

    ... I think it's impossible, isn't it?

    Otherwise, I have another solution that is to ask the id from cell to opencellid webservices, but it is very inaccurate.

    any idea?

    Thank you.

  • Possible to send location for BlackBerry maps using the cards: / / URI?

    I was wondering, since we can launch BlackBerry maps maps: / / is there a way that we could send a location for maps of the URL?

    As maps://Kingston-Upon-Hull

    You can use ' geo:,' uri without the ' / /'.

    For example, this url should get you close to where I live:

  • Smartphones Geotags blackBerry, GPS and photos

    I found that some of my pictures from the camera are geotagged and this caused problems with sending photos. Unable to send a photo geotagged with BBM, email or normal picture messaging. Curiously, Whatsapp works OK. I uninstalled Google Maps (still have BB Maps) and turned off GPS location services. I can't find a way to turn off geotagging of photos without turning off the GPS. If GPS services is active, it can interfere with the camera because he won't take the shot until the GPS has had a difficult situation. Seems to be OK without GPS for now. What do you think?

    I'm running a Bold 9780 with OS 6.0.0.294 with the latest app world and BBM.

    Hi BryanR

    On the 9780 I, how to disable the geolocation is in camera mode.

    At the bottom of the screen, you'll (left to right) the following:

    Your photos

    Geotagging

    Take photo

    Flash game

    Plug type of

    (Roughly)

    On the second icon for geotagging to turn it off, the image should be a goal only.   If getoagging is enabled, then it will look like a red balloon.  Simply press this icon until you get the target. (not the target with the waves as it is turn on geotagging).

    You shouldn't have a problem with the geolocation in the future.

    Although according to the configuration of your phone, and the permissions you gave to Google Maps, which can also be using geolocation by default so check your permissions on this.

    I can't understand why you can't email geotagged files even if, as I have no problem with my BB.

    I hope this helps.
