Get the path of directory name

Hello

I need to read the path of the directory 'directory name '. I know that I can read this dba_directories but it requires the grant of the sys user...

Are there other options to get the path of the directory of the directory name.

I need the directory path in the java stored procedure which concatenates PDF files on disk to the db and then store in BLOB table field...

Not really, either dba_directories or all_directories, where information is queryable of.

  • How can I get the 8.3 file name short AND way?

    We use some old DOS programs and need to use the old format back (filename.xxx). When the files are in the long trees, it is very difficult to find the names of files under Windows.

    There was a response published in Google (http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/522710.html) which works very well under XP, but when I use it in Windows 7, I get the long file name.

    Does anyone know how to do this?  The program can be changed?  Here is the program of this flajason-ga posted, but it must be updated for Windows 7 (I only know how to program in Foxpro).  Thank you, Alan

    After my last comment, I read your details a little closer.
    The last script I posted was to list out a whole directory in 8.3 format.
    If you are looking for a friendly way of Clipboard to recover the 8.3
    for individual files, that will be more to your liking.

    Same thing as before. Copy the below into Notepad and save it with a .vbs extension.
    Except that this time, you can simply drag and drop a folder or file icon
    on the .vbs file and it displays the short path in an input box.
    where you can copy the value and use anything you want to.

    If you're industrious, you can also save the .vbs file in your
    Folder "send to" (C:\Documents and Settings\ [yourname] \SendTo) to have
    It is available in your context menu with a right click.

  • How to get the path of PDF file?

    Hello

    Adobe Livecycle ES2 V9

    Here is the code that I currently use (postSave):

    var fileName = event.target.documentFileName;

    at this point, fileName is (myForm.pdf), there is no path to the file

    fileName = fileName.substring (0, fileName.indexOf("."));

    xfa.host.exportData (".") ("/" + name + ".xml", 0);

    In fact, when the user saves the document PDF an XML file is automatically saved in the same directory with the same name as the PDF file.

    The problem is event.target.documentFileName only gets the pdf and the extension (ex: site_checklist.pdf)

    If the client opens two or more PDF files, it tries to export the XML file in the directory of the first open PDF file (or the last, it have not narrowed down).

    How can I get the path of the current PDF (not PDF more recently opened)?

    I can find no documentation for .documentFileName, I tried documentFilePath too.

    You can retrieve the image encoded base64 string object, but will not receive the path of the file (The API Reference). To display the image, you can use a URI of the data with a tag.

    Example on how to use the data URI: http://css-tricks.com/data-uris/

  • How do you get the path of the data store or the URL of a virtual disk in vRealize Orchestrator?

    I need to eager zero a virtual disk while building a virtual machine. I found the eagerZeroVirtualDisk_Task() under VcVirtualDiskManager function, which takes in 2 parameters:

    name - (String) the name of the disk, is a path to the data store or a URL pointing to the virtual disk that needs to be inflated.

    Data Center - (VcDatacenter) if the name is a path of data store, the data center for the path of the data store. Not necessary when called directly on ESX. If not specified on a call to VirtualCenter, the name must be a URL.

    How can I get the correct path of data store given the virtual disk? I intend to iterate through the features of the virtual machine to get the disks.

    Thank you!

    Actually figured out how to get the path of the data store, and how a drive zeros. In case it is useful to share the code here:

    var vimHost = vm.vimHost; VM instanceof VCVirtualMachine

    var vDiskMgr = vimHost.virtualDiskManager;

    for each disk

    var features = vm.config.hardware.device;

    for each {(dev var in devices)

    dev.backing contains a lot of useful things...

    If (dev instanceof VcVirtualDisk) {}

    a disc!

    var dsPath = dev.backing.fileName;

    System.log ("path of disk:" + dsPath);

    Data var Center =

    System.getModule('com.vmware.library.vc.datastore').getDatacenterForDatastore (dev.backing.datastore);

    var vcTask = vDiskMgr.eagerZeroVirtualDisk_Task (dsPath, datacenter);

    wait

    var waitResult =

    System.getModule('com.vmware.library.vc.basic').vim3WaitTaskEnd (vcTask, true, 5);

    }

    }

  • Get the path of the active document from Photoshop

    It works in Photoshop and Bridge script (Javascript)

    var myPath = activeDocument.name;

    Tester.PSD

    This only works in Photoshop script (JavaScript), but not in the bridge.

    var ProcessFolder = activeDocument.path

    actually stops the script, without error or warning.

    How can I get the path to the file in the active document in Photoshop through Bridge?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You can use BridgeTalk to communicate between applications

    In this case, there is the code and you must run it from the bridge to get the information you need for photoshop:

    // run this from Bridge to get the path of the active document
    // if photoshop is not running, it gives that message
    // if photoshop is Busy, it gives that warning
    // if photoshop has any images opened, it avoids getting the path and warn you

    pathFromPS();

    function pathFromPS() {
        var bt = new BridgeTalk;
        bt.target = "photoshop";
        bt.body = '(app.documents.length > 0) ? app.activeDocument.path : "No active images";';
        bt.onResult = function (resObj) {
            activePath = resObj.body;
        }
        if (BridgeTalk.getStatus (bt.target) == 'IDLE') {
            bt.send(3);
        } else {
            activePath = (BridgeTalk.isRunning(bt.target)) ? "[Busy]" : "[Not Running]";
        }
        return activePath;
    }

  • How to get the path of placed location plugin

    Hi all

    I want to get the path to my plugin location placed in my custom plugin code.

    supporse my plugin custom:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5.1\Plug-ins\MyCustomPlugin\MyCustomPlugin.aip

    Is that any API is there who can tell me my plugin path or the path of the directory.

    Concerning

    Ashish.

    Yes, what you want is SPPlugs.h, found in the pica_sp folder. Specifically, you want to GetPluginFileReference(), which takes a SPPluginRef, which is located in any message sent to the plugin. There is always a member of any message:

    SPMessageData d;

    In this (SPMData.h, also in the pica_sp folder), you will find:

    struct SPPlugin * auto;

    That's what you go to GetPluginFileReference(). The result will be placed in a SPPlatformFileReference, which you can pass to the constructor of an ai::FilePath (IAIFilePath.hpp in the main folder of the SDK) and then you will have a pretty nice object where you shoot the full path.

    I found some ways to get the path of the file, but I am defeated by pulling the list from that. the function of the path get gives me the path as "Macintosh Users:: Documents: extractedb.txt (myUsername).

    What I can't understand is how to get a dialog box to display a list that represents the content in the text file, I need to change the contents of the text file, I need the box to show me what I chose and I want to save my selection as a single string.
    e '.

    example of extractedb.txt information:

    [email protected]

    [email protected]

    [email protected]

    I want this is to pull those emails from the text file and turn them into a list so I can get to be a selection in my dialog box.

    Any help would be great = D

    Assuming you have a text file with your example e-mail addresses, the following AppleScript will read this file in a list (mf_List) and then use this list as input to choose among the list. Because multiple selection is allowed (control button), the output is sent to a list (sel_addr). We check if the Cancel button was pressed by testing for false and if this condition is met, we the script error.  Based on a single or multiple list item content of the list, display accordingly.

    game of mf to ((path to the folder as text) & "mail_list.txt")

    the value mf_List to {}

    the value sel_addr to {}

    the value mf_List to paragraphs of (read file mf)

    the value sel_addr to (choose from the list mf_List with title ¬

    ('Mail list' with multiple selections allowed without empty selection allowed)

    If sel_addr is equal to false then

    Error number-128

    return

    end if

    If length of sel_addr is equal to 1 then

    sel_addr display dialog box as text

    on the other

    the value Point to the text of TID to AppleScript delimiters

    the value Point text in AppleScript return delimiters

    display the dialog box elements of sel_addr in the text

    the value Text of point AppleScript delimiters to TID
