  • I am running Windows 7 for packs SP 1 or SP 2 does NOT solve my problem since neither one works with Windows 7.  Is there a way to search for this MUI (Multiple User Interface) missing file? The every thing must have himself installed in the first place. I took my mom (she died in June) and my brother on this PC as users so even if they do not use this PC supports multiple users. Maybe if I deleted as a reboot and additional users it will solve my problems. My updates install OK but I can't run at all system restore. It creates a restoration point OK but when I try to sr back to a restore point before I get the error 0x80073AFC topic of the missing MUI file.     OK I tried everything and nothing works! Only added beginners are updated browser Opera 10.63; IE9 (Beta); Firefox 3.6.12 and Google Chrome 7.0.517.41 and Java 22. Of course like everyone else in the world, I had to uninstall/enable and disable/download again and reinstall new Adobe Flash 10 and 11 of the shock wave and they keep crashing too! Hello 4 keep screwing browsers and now I get connection network problems. I run Comcast doctor and did everything it said to do, but nothing works. Oh and I added 7-Zip and WinZip also.   For people who read this thread, I offer the following information.  I solved the problem by noticing that the problem could have been caused, when the system image is created.  So I did a backup without creating the system image and backup is complete without error.

  Then I used the backup program to create a system image.  This time error (0x8007045D) was displayed.   The error report says "the operation failed for a device error encountered with the source or the destination. If the volume of the source or the destination is on a disk, run CHKDSK /R on the source volume or destination and then try again using. »

  So I ran chkdsk/r, and this program is a bad sector on the hard drive of my computer and fixed the error.  It took about an hour to run the program.  Now, the image of the system and the backup of data file work again.

  So I think that the main cause of error (0x8078012D) is deborahgarbe of i/o error (0x8007045D).  So if you get the first error code you can search for fixes for the second error code fix the root cause.

  Solved the problem. Changed the configuration of updates of ' install updates automatically (recommended) to "check and download (do not install). Updates are now being downloaded and my choice to install.

  Try to run Photoshop with the SHIFT key is pressed and skip loading part tird plug-in and try to use the Board contact II.  A version of plug-ins from third parties have been known to break Photoshop Scrippting.

  I recently asked a question in the Microsoft answer that I could access Internet Forum is no longer my favorites to Internet Explorer 8 (although they were always on display in the folder My Favorites in my user account folder.)  Several fixes to this problem have been proposed, but the one that worked was when it was suggested that I might have a corrupted user account.  I was directed to Microsoft link "How to fix a corrupted user profile." I followed the instructions and created a new user account and copied the files to the new account. Was done to correct the problem, and now I can access all my favorites still in IE8 in the new user account.

  However. I am now no longer able to send or receive messages in Windows Mail. When I click on "Send & receive" I get the box that says "some errors occurred while processing tasks requested. Please see the list of errors below for more details. "However, the box below which is supposed to list the errors is completely empty. I contacted my ISP (Virgin Media) provider, who did various diagnostic tests. They told me that this isn't a problem with their security, and they checked my account settings to make sure that everything is correct. They seem to think that this could be a problem with my registry. They sent several messages test (arriving in my web Virgin Media mail box), but for some reason are not getting downloaded in my Windows Mail. On a few occasions did pass the test messages (but only after I closed Windows mail and then reopened.) However, Windows Mail has stopped working again.

  Just once, I got details of an error that has been ' ERR protocol error. Port 110, secure (SSL): 0X800CC90. 0x800ccc18 error number. "However, it was the only time. All other times, the error box is completely blank.

  I looked in the links provided by Karena & Bruce, but they did not provide a solution to my particular problem.   I must say that I have noticed some improvements to Windows Mail but the button "Send & receive" still does not work properly. I can now send and receive messages.  If there is no message on my e-mail server of the Virgin, access automatically when I open Windows Mail. However, if a new message is sent to me and as I click on "Send & receive" Windows Mail is already open on my computer, I always get the empty error message. The only way I can access the message is to close Windows Mail and re - open once again, when the new message is downloaded automatically. I found a link that says this error could be due to a duplicate news account.  I found that I had two ms.news accounts in my Windows Mail account and remove one of them.  However, this has not resolved the problem, and I'm still only able to receive new messages by the opening and closing of Windows Mail.

  Does anyone have any other suggestions?
