Get-VMHost: you have changed the world: DefaultVIServer and global: DefaultVIServers system variables. This is not allowed. Please reset them to $null and reconnect the server vSphere.
Hello world
After the upgrade to PowerCLI version 5.1 however I can't run even the simplest command because it always ends up with the following error:
Get-VMHost: you have changed the world: DefaultVIServer and global: DefaultVIServers system variables. This is not aRA. Please reset them to $null and reconnect the server vSphere.
Can someone please suggest to me how to fix the script for my v3.2.0 PowerGUI IDE can work with the latest PowerCLI in my computer laptop 64 bit Windows 7?
Thank you.
And I just tried with PowerGui (same versions of PowerGUI and PowerCLI you use), no problem.
Must be something local on your desktop.
Maybe try a uninstall/reinstall of PowerGUI?

Hi Eva,
Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community. According to your description, it seems that you couldn't configure Gmail on Outlook and you receive error 0x800CCC0F. If I'm not mistaken you have Microsoft Outlook 2003 is installed.
This happens usually when there are questions about the server. If you have not been able to set up the account successfully, I suggest you read this article that shows how to set up email on Outlook accounts.
If you have configured the account successfully, but I could not send or receive e-mails, you go through this article which has troubleshooting for this issue.
If this is not enough, you can replicate with the result, then we can help you solve more.
Thank you!

What I do when I get this message?
The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please check that you have entered the server name correctly.
'SUBSCRIPTION', account: 'POP3', server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 11001, error number: 0x800CCC0DHello
I doubt that the fault lies in Internet Logistics (what this forum is about).
I guess you have a problem with the configuration in your e-mail software (Outlook? Windows Live Mail? you don't tell us). Find tools, accounts or similar and triple to check the settings for sending server.
Kind regards

Some components missing CUCM sauvegardΘ after you have changed the IP address of a Subscriber
a strange problem with cucm backup... After we migrated the cucm one taken sub. from one place to another and changed the ip address, some components were not in the backup, including TFTP
Backup successfully(100%) finishing, but when we check some five components were not in the backup.
When I searched in Cisco site, I received the following:
"Sometimes, after an upgrade, some services are not registered to DRS.
Workaround
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1 during the maintenance window, log on to the server in the CLI editor and run the utils disaster_recovery show_registration servername command.
This command lists all the components registered with DRS for the backup on the server for the specified Subscriber.
Step 2 disable and re-enable any component that is not registered to this server backup.
Step 3 run the utils disaster_recovery show_registration servername command again to check the component is registered for backup. "
Can someone help me with the command to disable and enable a backup component?
Thanks in advance,
Fox.
You have to basically disable & re-enable the service associated with this component not registered. for example if TFTP is a constituent unregistered, then disable & re-enable the service TFTP Cisco of the activation of the service. Then CLI, issue command 'utils disaster_recovery show_registration' & you should see the TFTP component registered with DRS.
Similar procedure must be done for the other missing items.
GP.

You can still access AOL of all customer e-mail you use, but you must specify the full path to the outgoing server AOL and it seems that you specified as the part "aol." See this: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010936921033.aspx Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

I can get mail in the mail of the window, in fact, it took all my yahoo box & put it in the Inbox for windows mail. I don't like that at all, and I can't send any email. Host error message cannot be found continues to come and I do not know how to find the host either. Help, please!
Partial error messages are not enough. We need to see the full message verbatim.Tools | Accounts | This account | Properties | Servers. Check the box "keep a copy of messages on the server. As far as putting the messages downloaded in return, the only way to do it is to send to yourself. Of course, this will completely change the message headers.Bruce Hagen

Just upgraded to Windows 8 and my bar tasks don't hide now, even after clicking on auto-hide settings, I tried applying ok then ' ing, and I tried to get rid of any notification, but usually disappear again :/
Any help would be thank you very much. One of the common culprits that breaks auto-hide is the center of the Action.
To test: click the Action Center icon in the system tray (it's the icon of white flag), when the window pops up to close it. If the taskbar mask that was the likely culprit. You can turn off the center of the Action via the control panel > Notification area icons > the system tray icons turn on or off > Action Center in the OFF position. -

Hi fernandomventura,
Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.
If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.
Step 2: Follow the steps mentioned in the articles below which deals with a similar question
