  Win XP drivers are not available for this model of laptop and I really don't understand why someone would want to go back to the old Win XP.
  Win XP is gone... its not supported by Microsoft more and its not supported by Toshiba for this series of portable...

  However, try to install driver (add) the Intel AHCI which you can download from the Intel download page.

  By the way: some BIOSES beginning supported the switch between the AHCI mode and compatibility mode.
  Choose compatibility mode, it was possible to install Win XP without the driver SATA.

  Your question is really strange. If your laptop is supported for Windows XP Home edition, and it is undoubtedly supported, then install WXP and more later all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities one by one.

  Before that, you create the recovery disk using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. This disk you can use to install Win7 64 bit in the future when you don t want to use Windows XP Home edition.

  I installed Windows 7 RC on my "HP dv5030us" Notetbook PC. I want to know if it uses Windows 7 instead of Windows XP, but I can't seem to get the audio to work which is a must. When I installed Windows 7, it tells me there is no driver for 'Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver' and can't seem to find the driver. Troubleshooting only that I did is to use Windows PCs and the web site of manufacturers who manufactures the computer. I even searched the web but have had no luck. Do you have any suggestions?  Please help me!

  Specification of the reading for this Satellite specifications and I really wonder you want to install the operating system Windows XP Home edition on it. First of all this laptop is about 7 years old and I really do believe that the WXP can work well with this low hardware configuration.

  Secondly, this phone is not supported for Windows XP Home edition and because of that Toshiba has never offered drivers for this good old classic. If you can't find a driver on the manufacturer directly, I'm afraid there is not much to do.

  I have an A200 here, model PSAF0A - 0EV 019, he had been under Vista when the hard drive failed, I replaced it, the owner wanted to WHAT XP installed without problems.
  It installed OK I then went on the download from Toshiba site and got the drivers for XP for this model.
  Yhey mainly worked out for video (I got a driver from the Intel site that worked) and the local network is not working.

  I downloaded the Realtek LAN Driver 5.664.205.2007 and it ran.
  When I look at network connections, it shows the net adapter 1394 and WLAN (which works OK) but no ethernet connection, looking at the ethernet controller device manager appears in yellow and when interviewed said that no driver is loaded.

  Anyone can help to solve this problem, suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

  Are you sure that the laptop uses a Realtek LAN card?
  Maybe it's chip Intel LAN s?
  There are various A200 models with different hardware specs and chip LAN may be different.

  Go to Device Manager-> properties-> Details tab Ethernet controller

  You will find something like this:
  PCI\VEN_11AB & DEV_4355

  FRI means seller, DEV, device

  Use this database to find the name of the device and this will help you to find the right driver.

  Then, I updated the BIOS to the new version of (2.30) and now I can hear the sound of phones Jack, but speakers remain silent (even if nothing is connected to the Jack).

  I need a sound driver for my laptop. It is a 01 L A100 (PSAAR). For PSAAR are just Vista drivers online... but I need one for XP... I tried all PSAA9 audio drivers... but they don't work! :(

  But it's very strange. Satellite A100 PSAA9E series uses the same sound chip and driver XP it works also on your laptop.
