I have it.
There was a bad XML import settings.
It must be removeUnmatchedExisting = true;

Impossible to analyze data from an xml file
I try to get the strings from an xml file:
I tried the following:
var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("blog.xml");
var xml;
var rss:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
RSS. Load (URL);
rss.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, readRss);function readRss(e:Event):void {}
XML = XML (rss.data);
txt_field. Text = XML. Entry [1]. Author.Name;}
but no result. TypeError: Error #1010:...
I tried tracing xml and worked well.
The xml structure seems to be too complex
var blogList:XMLList = xml.children (); Returns a xml structure more simple but always unsuccessfully in the analysis of the parts of xml as a "title" or "author."
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("blog.xml");

var rss:URLLoader = new URLLoader();

Getting data from several XML files
Could someone please shed some light on the best way to read several external xml files through Flex? We haveabout 100 xml files (of which few are accessible by users).
I tried to implement the following generic function which takes a file name, but when debugging it, it seems that the Manager never gets call after executing the line of service.send ()! I would much appreciate your help!
public void fetchFileContent(fileName:String):void {//this method is called when you click on a button
var service: HTTPService = new HTTPService();
service. URL = "filePath /" + file name;
service.useProxy = false;
service.resultFormat = 'e4x ';
service.addEventListener ("result", fileRetrievalHandler)
service. Send();
}
public void fileRetrievalHandler(evnt:ResultEvent):void {}
fileContent = evnt.result.feed; This line is never executed

Navigate trough different 'levels' in the XML file from the known item?
I am quite new to this, so I have to ask even if it's a stupid question...
I am trying to build a generic oracle procedure that can insert data into a table from a file XML so that message that it contains, but of course the messages has the same structure.
I need to find the first item after data, in this case "CUS_ORD_HEAD", but it could be any message as PO_HEAD.
So I need to somehow find the element without knowledge is the name of the element. It goes same for CUS_ORD_LINE that might be PO_LINE. Is it possible to navigate through the different 'levels' in the XML file from a known element.

OK, understood.
You can retrieve the name of the element and attribute names in the same time by using something like the following.

What I meant is that if you load the XML e4x, you have to analyze in a table to use it. You can retrieve the syntax of e4x XMLList and use it directly in your code. You can treat the XMLList almost as you treat any array using a for each loop for example.
Take the code below as an example and adapt it to your needs:
var mainMenu:XMLList = this.testXML.menu;
for each {var menu: XML (in mainMenu)}
trace ("Menu:" + menu.@txt);
You can use your logic to create menu main point here
var mynavItem:Navitem = new Navitem (0, spatie * i, GlobalVarContainer.my_array [i] [0], [i, 0], false, true);
this.holder.addChild (mynavItem); ABLE TO VIEW THE MAIN MENU
var items: XMLList = menu.children ();
If (items.length () > 0) {}
for each {var point: XML (in the points)}
trace ("point:" + item.@txt);
Logic of creation of subitem here
var mySubnavItem:Navitem = new Navitem (dash, spatie * (i + 1 + j), GlobalVarContainer.my_array [i] [2], [i, j], true);
this.holder.addChild (mySubnavItem); DISPLAYS ONLY THE LAST ENTRY IN THE SUBMENU
}
}

It sounds like the logic that has been written in VI

Hello
I have a problem to transfer content to an XML file in a MS SQL database through a stored procedure data/fixed. I am able to transfer the content of the file using method...
HSTMT = DBPrepareSQL (hdbc, EXEC usp_InsertReport "
... ");resCode = DBExecutePreparedSQL (hstmt);
resCode = DBClosePreparedSQL (hstmt);
... but in this case, I am not able to read the return value of the stored procedure.
I tried to follow the example of the stored procedure in the help documentation (DBPrepareSQL), but I miss a xml data type?
No idea how to solve my problem?

DianaS salvation,
Thanks for your comments. During this time I found another way which fullfill my needs:
resCode = DBSetAttributeDefault (hdbc, ATTR_DB_COMMAND_TYPE, DB_COMMAND_TEXT);
sprintf (sz_SqlStatement, "DECLARE @TESTID INT EXEC @TESTID = usp_InsertReport ' SELECT 'RetVal' %s = @TESTID", sz_Buffer ");
HSTMT = DBActivateSQL (hdbc, sz_SqlStatement);While ((resCode = DBFetchNext (hstmt)) == DB_SUCCESS)
{
/ * Enter values in the record. */
resCode = DBGetColInt (hstmt, 1, & s32_TestId);
}resCode = DBDeactivateSQL (hstmt);
sz_Buffer is the content of the XML file.

Passing values from a CO of a page in the xml file of a field with LOV.
Hello
I have 2 pages in this CUSTOMIZATION and the 2nd page got fields that have their turn to LOV.
The query behind the LOV is sitting in the XML file and as an amendment to this motion, he needs some dynamic values
I got to a stage where in the Commander of the 2nd page I set up values using getparameters.
But how to pass this value from the 2nd page to the XML FILE.
Thank you
Regis
Hi Regis
Leave; s first focus on your first build errors. You said very well reconstruction work but compilation error comes when you run the page.
It's strange. Can you please confirm if you have added the OFA libraries to your project. Ideally, they should be there once you create an OA project

How to insert data in the XML file?
Hi guys,.
How to insert information into an XML file. I tell you, I have a CFM file with some questions to the user
When users submit this form within the form information is send in an XML file.
How can insert this information in the XML file?
When I don't have a DB?
Thank you
Kind regards
Fabiano Magno Pechibella
You must
- Read in the XML file
- Analyze the document in an XML (just one big struct) object
- Insert your XML code of the object where you need
- rewrite the XML file with your data now included
You can Google 'ColdFusion working with XML' and find hundreds of items to help you. Here's a beginning tutorial to help you get started:

Load the data from a text file into a table using pl/sql
Hi Experts,
I want to load the data from a text file (sample1.txt) to a table using pl/sql
I used the pl/sql code below
***********************************
declare
f utl_file.file_type;
s varchar2 (200);
c number: = 0;
Start
f: = utl_file.fopen('TRY','sample1.txt','R');
loop
UTL_FILE.get_line (f, s);
insert into sampletable (a, b, c) values (s, s, s);
c: = c + 1;
end loop;
exception
When NO_DATA_FOUND then
UTL_FILE.fclose (f);
dbms_output.put_line('No. deles de lignes insérées: ' || c);
end;
***************************************
and my sample1.txt file looks like
***************************************
1
2
3
***************************************
Gets the data inserted, with way below
Select * from sampletable;
A, B AND C
1-1-1
2-2-2
3 3 3
I want that data to get inserted as
A, B AND C
1 2 3
The text file I have is to have three lines, and the first value of each line should go to each column
Help, please...

The data in the XML file validation
Hi gang...
Just got a project (not) I have to analyze and validate an xml document... the work is as follows:
1. gather xml
2 analyze the data
3. validate the data
4 insert data into db
5 send the message to the browser
I don't know what is the best way to go about this problem in a productive way, using everything that's out there.
Any help would be appreciated. (the xml file is included)
Netpagino
I don't know exactly what you mean by "validation of the data in an XML file. At first glance, I interpreted your request that means you have to check that the XML file is well-formed,... that is to say, according to the DTD or schema. But on re-reading your post, I'm not sure.
Of course, you want to use full construction CF XML processing and querying capabilities. (You want to use an XPath search to find the nodes, for example...) As for the later task then check the data contained in these nodes against various business rules, well, who would take more thought. But remember (a) that it is very much ground (so "do not re-invent the wheel"), and (b) you have all Java at your disposal if you need it.

I have the interface as shown in the screenshot below. In this document, among other things, I am mapping to an element XML file representing a date to an Oracle table column defined as DATE. The source and target columns are highlighted in the screenshot.
! http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/1565/odiscr275.jpg!
When I run the interface, I get the following error message:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException to java.sql.Date.valueOf(Date.java:103)
I guess that this is the conversion of the date!
I already tried to replace SRC_TRADES. DEAL_DATE with TO_DATE (SRC_TRADES. DEAL_DATE, ' DD/MM/YYYY') on the implementation tab. This feature was not recognized when I executed the interface, so it did not work! The value of date in the XML file is in the format DD/MM/YYYY .
I guess that Date SQL Oracle functions do not work in the implementation tab. Could someone let me know:
1. what the Date Conversion function I could use instead?
2. where can I find a reference to the methods/functions that I use in the implementation tab (if such a reference exists)?
See you soon.
JamesHello.
Try changing the area of execution at the staging area. Once you change it, write in the map box just SRC_TRADERS. DEAL_DATE. When you use TO_DATE, the source field typu should be varchar2, no date (as it is in store for your data source)

I think I have a problem in my cross-references and hoping that there is a simple-minded answer (as I do something real dumb). I import the generated content of xsl and references appear in square brackets by * asterisks. If I double-click on a reference, it seems to open the appropriate file (may be an xml file before saving any files to fm docs).
THE FOLLOWING XML CODE:
< CrossReference XRefID = "IDapplications_tb" size = "fm:Fig - Tbl-Ex-Proc # on"
"page #" srcfile="./CPU-1_Introduction.fm#IDapplications_tb"/ >
HERE'S THE RULE:
/*
* Reference element
*/
element "Reference" {}
FM reference element "reference";
"XRefID" attribute
{
is the property of fm cross-reference id;
is the attribute of fm;
}
attribute "format".
{
is the reference property formula fm;
is the attribute of fm;
}
}
In the FM wysiwyg format, it pops up something like this (with the asterisks):
Text label *.
What do the asterisks mean? Thank you
Your XML specified
format = "" fm:Fig - Tbl-Ex-Proc # on page # ""
but the model used when you open the XML file does not contain a cross-reference with that name, then format FrameMaker created for you with a few fake definition.
