Given to zero cold/reset HP LaserJet 500 colorMFP M570dw

Hello

I clicked on the wrong country on the first installation of the printer.

Now, I would like to correct the country, but the only way to change the country seems to bee if a cold reset/reset of the printer.

How can you do a cold reset/reset with the printer HP LaserJet 500 colorMFP M570dw? I couldn't find the answer in the manual...

Thanks for your replies

What you need is a NVRAM or a Super NVRAM. Both will do the job for the same problem: initialization of memory NVRAM ATTENTION: all HP Jetdirect settings are also reset. Don't forget to print a Setup page before you perform initialization of the NVRAM. Make a note of the IP address that is listed on the Jetdirect configuration page. You must restore the IP address after a the NVRAM initialization. A the NVRAM initialization erases all data stored in the sections not protected from NVRAM. Perform initialization of the NVRAM resets the settings and the following information: ● all menu settings are reset to the factory default values. ● all location settings, such as language and national and regional, are reset to zero. After a the NVRAM initialization, reconfigure all computers that print to this product so that the computer can recognize the product. 1. turn off the product. 2 models of touch control panel: press and hold the lower quadrant right of the touch screen. Keep the depressed quadrant that you turn on the product. 3. when the Permanent storage Init. message appears on the screen, release the buttons. 4. when the product has completed the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the ready state. Super super initializing NVRAM NONVOLATILE initialization A restores the product for "generic" mode, in which you get at the factory. This means that you need to reset the language settings and country, when the product starts after initialization. A super NVRAM initialization erases all the data stored in the NVRAM protected and unprotected sections. 1. turn off the product. 2. press and hold the lower left quadrant of the touch screen. Keep the depressed quadrant that you turn on the product. 3. when the Permanent storage Init. message appears on the screen, release the buttons. 4 the super NVRAM initialization is completed, the product is in generic product mode.

When the software indicates out of paper, it's really tell you he lost communication with the printer. It could be a server problem.  To test since you already know that the printer works would print a printer configuration page and using the printer ip address set up on top of one of the computers as a local tcp/ip printer without going through the server, so the computer prints directly to the printer.  If it works, then your issue is network or linked servers.  Make sure that the address of the printer has not changed and also make sure that the spooler is running on the server.

  • How to cold reset HP Laserjet p4015x printer?

    What should I do?

I activated the maximum security on the display panel of the printer who locked all menus except the menu 'Retrieve the Job'. I also forgot to activate the HTTPS web server, so even if I have a user name and password I can't access the control panel.

I tried to use the Service with PIN # 05401508 menu, but there was an option to reset the printer.

Yes, it worked! Thank you. I did a cold reset and now I can access the Panel.

The steps were a bit different:

    (1) turn off the printer.

    (2) turn on printer and wait for the display to light upward.

    (3) press and hold the OK"" button.

    (4) when the 'Select Language' option appears, press arrow down to find "Cold Reset".

    5) press 'OK '.

Guide to the administrator for the HP P4015x said no value is defined for "Cold Reset". I tried a cold reset for other HP printers and I couldn't make it work. After that, I tried a few other ideas that I found on the web as reinstall trainer Board, but these ideas did not work either. Then, I felt kind of stupid.

Help me! How can I make cold reset HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425dn ?

You can do 'factory reset' menu of the control panel; or permanent initialization of power first, holding and cover the corner area to the right / left of the control panel when you feed on... release your finger when you see «initialization permanent...» ». After you complete and return the loan, it indicates the reset is complete.

  • M 201n: HP LaserJet M 201n - cold Reset

    Hello

I need to cold reset my Laserjet M 201n. I do not have access to the configs more. It says menu disabled for all settings on the LCD screen.

    Help, please.

    Hello Ibney,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are trying to do a hard reset of the printer.

The way to do is to simply unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and let it sit for about 2 min.  Reconnect the power cable and power on the unit back.

I also suggest that you please make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

I would like to know if you have any questions or concerns.

    See you soon,.

I can not connect to the printer to manage the Web

I think that the best bet now is to update fw on the printer.   You will need to connect to the printer via a USB cable to do the update for your network connection does not work correctly.   Here a link to the fw update.

That should bring your printer to update or delete the question.  Give it a try.

  • reset password (cold reset) to a Laserjet 600 M601?

Someone knows how to do a reset of the a Laserjet 600 M601 (cold reset) password?

No reset 'by default'. I need to reset the password.

    BB

Do a search for the repair of LaserJet Pro 600.

You won't find Manual printer maintenance on the HP website, but they are there.

Depending on how stubborn the s of the printer, you may have to use the pre start menu do a partial clean.

A word of warning, a full clean will scan all the firmware on the printer and it will need to be recharged. I do only one full when I have two different low capacity Flash DRIVE with a copy of the firmware on them.

If my post is solved your problem and click the accepted as button solution under him.

  • HP Laserjet Enterprise m506x: cold reset laserjet enterprise m506

I need to know how to perform a cold reset on the printer.  The user guide says to do it on through the Administration Control Panel > General settings > restore settings factory or in the general tab of the EWS > restore factory settings > reset.  None of these methods work, all settings are always kept.  I did it several times and it's not compensation no matter what.  I want to reset back how it came out of the box.

Since my printers are on warranty, I was able to solve it with a HP Support's cat. Here's how to do a cold reboot:

    1. turn on the printer and press 3 times the hp logo when it comes to 1/8 and
    3. use the down arrow button to select the item to Administrator + 3 and press the OK button.
3 use the arrow key down to highlight the Options + 8 startup item, and then press the OK button.
4 use the arrow key down to highlight the item 2 of Cold Reset and press the OK key to select this option.
    5. press the button to return to the main menu pre-start and highlight the 1 item to continue, and then click OK

  • LaserJet 500 color M551 PCL6 - Toner level error

I love my LaserJet 500 color M551 but I'm having a problem with the black toner level.  I went to spend the night to have a level of about 50-60% to 10%.  Literally from one day to the next.  I had just checked the levels during the night and the next day the black toner was low.  My use is very light.  According to the page using the number for the monochrome is 1 668.  Total is listed at 3 487.  According to the supplies Status Page 3 543 pages were printed with black and 2 154 ink with the 3, various tonic color.  The only chance 3 543 a to be healthy is if black was included in all color prints so total use of black toner without color would be in the area of 1,400 pages.   There is no way we printed 3 543 black pages and more 2 154 color pages.  We had this printer at 14 months.  We get a new pack of 500 pages about every 2 to 3 months.  At the absolute most, we printed 3 500 pages total.  Most of our impression is heavier on the color.  In fact, we have done a large number of color prints full page.  But given the way we print color is about where we might expect.  And when the black toner showed the 50-60% it was where we expected.

So what happened? Why our drop of toner level to 10 percent from one day to the next?  I tried the cat with the support, but they did lose one hour of my time and absolutely nothing accomplished.  The service was terribly slow that it was as if a person has worked 3 or 4 cats at the same time.  So I tried it and vain.  The support representative suggested that I swap cartridges.  I don't have a spare those for Exchange.  It made absolutely no sense to me to buy a cartridge of 160-$180 if he could sit on a shelf for a year while waiting to get used.  I certainly don't want to buy and open a new toner cartridge just to know, nothing was wrong with the other.   So the line of background here is... someone has suggestions?  How will I know what is the real level of toner?  Is there a way to reset the levels?

Better yet. Someone has this model of printer and a black toner empty known cardtridge?  If yes do you know the exact weight of a cartridge empty in ounces? I also want to compare this to the full weight of this model cartridge at 100%.  If I had these two weight I would be able to calculate the exact amount of toner remaining.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a simple solution to your problem: just keep printing.  There was problems with the guarantee of toner system where there are sudden jumps in reported toner level, like what comes to live.  Unfortunately, we do not have a foolproof system for reporting levels of toner, and there is no method for re - calculate and declare a correct level in your cartridge.  Toner templates does not rise, they count only down.  When you eventually replace the cartridge, it will start again at 100%.

The good news is that you have not suddenly lost all life of the cartridge, it looks just like that.  Your printer will continue printing normally, and the toner level be at 10% for a long time.  When the black cartridge is in fact less than 10%, the pledge starts counting down again.  I'm sorry to see this problem coming up for visitors, but it does.  There is nothing wrong, except the black toner level reported.  I know this isn't a great answer, but it is the best I have.   I'm glad you like your printer - try to ignore the level of toner for awhile.

    Best regards

    Alan_R

If so, what would be the best way to go to implement?

Hi thanks for taking the time to answer.

In the end, I gave a call to HP support, and they explained to me that the default tray will always be Tray 1 if it is open, and if you add additional bins, one at the bottom will become the default tray.
