  Does not print the magenta color. I put a new cartridge in (both are new and not expired).

  As requested by another post on this page, I have cleaned the contacts on the cartridge and printer with clear water. Did not help.

  I ran a printed report that says in the text that all is well, but the magenta is very slightly ridged (so not quite Miss).

  One of the ideas for what I can try next? Appreciate any help you can offer.

The best I can get is the driver by default that automatically loads if I understand correctly that there is no specific driver for this machine available in win 7. Has anyone found a way around that?  Otherwise, I have another pc using vista, I could link so when I print the win7 machine it transfers data on the other pc and print it!   Hello.  I had a problem with Laserjet Pro 200 color M276NW my family when printing from my desktop Windows 7 (64 bit) for quite awhile.  The first time I print a document after starting my computer, it prints the entire document very well.  However, the print jobs will simply freeze the program that sent them (for example Outlook, Opera, etc.) on a screen ' print the page of.  Also, I can't print a test page in Windows when the first task is completed.  I finally realized that it probably has something to do with the spooler service in Windows, or in the print queue.  When I look in the queue after printing the first document, it shows that the paper in it, but the new job that froze my app does not appear.  After I restarted my computer, I can print a document more before I have to restart again.

  You want to make sure that you're using the envelopes recommended for laser printers only and that the envelopes are loaded correctly.   I would like that you try to make a copy of the front of the printer, if it can copy this means it should be able to print from the computer.

  I see you are having problems printing via the USB connection. I would really like to be able to help solve this problem.

  Did you download and install the software solution full or run Upates Apple?

  Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
  Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (LaserJet MFP M125a Pro)

  If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

  

  

  How is the name of the printer listed?

  If the problem persists, try the following steps:

  Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

  Close all applications.

  In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

  Double-click disk utility.

  Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

  Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

  Restart the computer...

  Reset the printing system:

  Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

  Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

  Click on Printers & Scanners.

  Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

  Click OK to confirm the reset.

  Type the name and the correct password.

  Click OK to reset the printing system.

  Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

  Try to print again.

  I recently bought a LaserJet 5100dtn. I work with Mac OSX Yosemite (10.10.3). I can't get my OS to recognize the duplex printing option. I have the duplexer attached to my printer, and I know it works because it printed a test page. I have the setting the paper handling > Duplex > WE * however, it keeps printing sided pages.

  The problem is maybe that my printer settings have "duplex" grayed out.

  

  I wonder if there is a problem with the printer driver? This printer is no longer manufactured (I bought mine used), then maybe there is a problem with the driver communicates duplex printing features?

  Any help you could offer would be great! Thank you in advance!

  The slight difference for users of Yosemite (this is an another OSX) is:

  Go to Printers & Scanners > click the printer you want to print duplex (in this case LaserJet 5100) > in the main window, click Options & supplies > leOptionsonglet > duplex unit.

  If you manually check 'Duplex' then 2-sided will not be grayed out when this printer is selected.

  Problem solved!

  The printer works fine in manual duplex mode with a blank sheet of paper, but will print on each side, if we try to use paper with a preprinted letterhead.  It's almost as if there is some kind of OCR that prevents printing on a page with pre-printed letterhead.  Any ideas?

  There are a couple of sensors that could be confused by the letter header.  First of all, there is a paper sensor that detects the paper being well picked up and fed through the printer. Some colors of printing on paper can confuse this sensor.  The other possibility is the sensor used for the selection of the paper type automatic is confusing to the system.  In this case you can try to automatically select plain paper rather than the selection of paper.

• LaserJet 500 m551 no project don't print option on Mac OS x 10.7

  We use a range of HP LaserJet 500 m551 color printers in my office and it takes too long for the photos to print. When you print a picture of a Mac OS 10.7 (jpg) images, there is no option to print a "draft" or the low resolution copy. The only option is a 1200 dpi or 3600 which takes several minutes. I have looked in the setting of printer options and don't find paper quality, management of the colors that are not useful for this purpose.

  We have the prints in color printing on plain 8.5 "x 11" page, so choose a grey scale or black & white version is not only useful. We need to print these quickly so that our staff can consult the arranged on tables for selection purposes.

  All of the Apple software is up to date, and the HP printer driver is up to date also. Most of the photo files are large - 2 MB or more - allowing for high quality printing on a press when selected for our magazine advertising.

  When I print the same photo from a PC, I have a version of the project option and begin printing immediately.

  By HP support by phone, I was told that it is a limitation of the application or the program and not the printer. That makes sense (iPhoto on the Mac vs. Windows Live Photo on the PC), however, our previous HP LaserJet printer offers a print project option in iPhoto that suggests a limitation of the driver for me.

  We will replace the printer by another speeding up the Mac printing unless this can be resolved. Help is appreciated and/or a printer recommended for the Mac.
