  I just changed from Nextel to AT & T and a to a Blackberry Pearl 8110 Blackberry 7100. I can't find anywhere in the menu to set or remove the e-mail alert tone.  It drives me crazy.  I always want my ringtone for incoming calls, I want just the alert for email to go.  I checked the manual but can't find something there.  Help please.

  I have a blackberry torch 9860.It no more alerts not received text messages (SMS), I consulted the menu messaging and activated alerts in received messages (in all profiles) and still it does not give an alert when an SMS arrives and I have to manually access the SMS Inbox to see received messages.

  I'll also take the opportunity to ask, I don't have the blackberry package in my blackberry mobile. So I can't access the internet even if I connect to a Wi - Fi network?

  Try a battery pull to fix the SMS problem. With your phone, remove the battery and then replace it.
  You can always access the internet without BlackBerry data. Do a search for the Opera mini browser for surfing via Wi - Fi.

• BlackBerry Bold 9900 Smartphones: default alerts/ringtones went

  They seem to have become lost due to a fall of update. They seem to still be on the phone as alerts in use at the time will continue to work but are not accessible to change and if changed to an imported ringtone cannot be restored.

  How to restore?

  Edit: Ringtone on the unit folder is empty.

  I transferred my CONTACTS and other PARAMETERS of my 8000 series BB successfully using the SOFTWARE of OFFICE of BB.

  With the new sounds available, I would like to change the ALERT TONE I had used on my BB 8000 for a new, different on BB 9000.

  How can I do this?

  Here's 'Level 1' separate for lines:

  By selecting each one, then opening them (by clicking the joystick) - a separate menu returns to each of them.  THAT I discovered at the time of my JOY and AMAZEMENT, it's I can create separate TONES for every different email through this!

  Nevertheless, I thank those of you who have or hereinafter strives to have helped on this solution!

• BlackBerry Smartphones Smiley alert - what is?

  At the top of my screen (BB8320) a smiley with a red star and a figure 1 appeared, just as a new alert message but with a smiley instead of an envelope. There is nothing in my Inbox or anywhere else that I can find, I'm looking forward to remove it but how? I do not use messenger, facebook or any other form of networking other than SMS and e-mails. I have a bug?

• A Notification of blackBerry Smartphones sounds alert missing after upgrade to OS6

  I was delighted to see I can finally update my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did both.

  Unfortunately, I discovered all the preset alarm and original settings notification sounds are gone now, and most of them have been replaced by rather lame. Is it possible to retrieve or download the old sounds OS5 Bold 9700 from an official source (!)?

  I really wouldn't be forced to adapt to the new sounds and alarms.

  Scroll down the page until you get to the section "What's new", click on ringtones OS5 OS6 for download all previous ringtones.

• Message from blackBerry & Smartphones Email alert notification - need help!

  Hi all

  I turned on my 9300 the other SIMs day and I received a new text message on it that I read & deleted...

  I then put in my old SIM and the alert at the top of the screen (1 envelope) which notifies you when you have a new message is still there!

  I have deleted all messages, emails, checked all folders, saved files, restarted (hundreds of times!), but the notice is still there.

  It obviously isn't a major problem, but I find it incredibly annoying!

  Any help to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated!

  On your homescreen go to message, go on a date box says say today, then press the Menu button > scroll down and click "mark prior reading. and then do a restart of battery as lthis pull: power to the device on remove the battery, wait for a min. then reinsert and wait until it reboot, see if she's still there.

  I'm trying to find a way to turn my ringer off whenever I get an email when my phone does not vibrate or silent mode. It is very irritating. I looked online and my phone to silent. I created a custom profile, but the rest ring turns off every time that an e-mail message is available in. Any help is appreciated.

  I posted a similar message earlier today, but no one could help you.   I checked Crackberry.com and found that you must set sounds on 'Normal' (I put it in "Loud") for your individual settings (telephone, e-mail, SMS, etc.) work.  In this 'Normal' context, the ringing of the e-mail does not sound (if set to silent in the menu "Set Ring Tones / alerts"), but the will of your msg text always sound (assuming of course it is not set to "Silent").    It is the solution, although it would have been nice if the manual contains this info.  Thanks Crackberry.com.      Don

  I do not keep my phone on me all the time, some time I leave it in the car or at the office and not hear the phone ring, I have clients who leave voice mail and they expect me to come back to them right away.  My last phone would keep alert that there is an answering machine until I have him recognize. I like this phone won't and I must go and look at the screen whenever I walk by it to see if I have a voicemail.  It would make me a prisoner on the phone.  On weekends, I work around the House and leave the phone on the kitchen counter. Their duty to maintain the voice alert is or an application that will give me that ability.  Please tell me there is.  I'll have to go back to the old phone if this is not possible.

  I have the same problem with my new 8310... again, who in their right mind has never missed a call, I mean really?  If you're in the movies or in a store that has bad reception or even at a place like the beach, you attach your phone to your swimsuit... of course not.   The 8310 Verizon has only a microscopic circle seen under an electron microscope at 1000 x magnification, you can see that someone has tried to reach you, that's all.  Find an application from Handango;

  Which puts the old text mode right on your screen (big day) name, time and phone # you just missed a call, and they left a message, just like mobile phones of Ontario Regulation.  A free night, download, I am right now.   I hope this helps.

• BlackBerry smartphone email alert icon not showing on Email folder?

  I chose the option to separate my SMS / email messages.  I understand that copies of ALL my messages go to my folder 'messages' standard, but the red alert icon shows only on my 'messages' folder when I receive a new e-mail message.  It does not appear on my e-mail folder.  On my 8830, I could hide my 'messages' folder and manage all my messages SMS & Email to their respective folders, and whenever I got a new email, the small red alert icon would show up through my e-mail folder.  I talked to others on tour in other forums who say that their to work properly.  Their red alert icon will appear next to their EMAIL folder when you receive a new email.  But mine is displayed by my standard 'MESSAGES' folder, so I have to keep the 2 folders side-by-side on my home page, which is very annoying.  E-mail messages still land in my EMAIL account correctly and I can work on this issue, but I don't know where the message was if I didn't keep the handy 'MESSAGES' folder because the alert icon will appear next to that one instead.  Thanks for any help or direction.
