Global emergency key Dynadock CTRL-E

For some reason, the previous thread on this issue was closed as "assumed answered! I can't imagine why anyone thinks that this is the answer.

The Dynadock has a * global override on CTRL-E *, a key that is used by almost all other Windows applications, what makes an immediate ejection from the dock, without warning. * And it can not be changed! » *

This is a serious problem, because the dynadock is useless without software sound. The only solution is to throw your expensive camera and buy another brand. Or try and practice you have forgotten your keyboard shortcuts and find solutions for other programs.

Please, Toshiba, it of a trivial change to your drivers, allow to change the eject button. Please?

I read the thread and I think it s responded.
You can see different responses and explanations; It seems that the software supports the shortcut CTRL-E too and is not a problem but the functionality

When playing a video and the audio is slightly out of sync, I read there was a keyboard shortcut which allowed you to try and sync.

I thought it was the key to ctrl-plus/minus. But this does not seem to do anything.

Strange sticky keys or CTRL plus key type of problem

One of my PC running Windows Pro 7 all of a sudden started acting strangely.

Basically when I press "r" key, the Run dialog box opens. The same problem occurs when I press other keys my keyboard -c' is as if I am pressing on the CTRL key and the key on the other. It happened all of a sudden without warning and I was unable to get rid of him.

I tried the following (which none makes no difference):
1. explicitly disabled in the options of the ease of use/acessability StickyKeys. [they were lit, but I have unchecked everything in all cases]

2 tried another USB keyboard

3. tried the on-screen keyboard

4. I tried the boot safe mode and using 1-3 above.

5. under the direction of the registry (which was fun when you can't get 'r' into the search box as run immediately opens) and change the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\StickyKeys - changed flag to 506 (also tried 26)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard response - changed flag to 122
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\ToggleKeys - changed flag to 58

[I also changed the keys above in HKEY_USERS\Default\ControlPanel\Accessibility]

6 returned to an image earlier from my drive C: this month and made the changes above to this restored image.

7 run an anti-virus with Avast (which normally works in the background either way) - he came clean.

None of this makes a difference - they keys always behave strangely.

Anyone can suggest what's causing this problem and how can I solve it?
Is it software or hardware (same BIOS) related?

I tried everything I could think of, so any useful suggestions greatly appreciated.

I managed to solve the problem - but to be honest I don't know how!

In addition to the steps described in my initial post I tried the following:
* Booted in safe mode - makes no difference
* Restarted the BIOS out and then reinstalling the BIOS battery - not made no difference
* Ran several scans of rootkit (Kapersky tdsskiller) and Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit beta - the two came clean. keyboards still do not work

* Started from a distribution Ubuntu on a USB - all USB keyboards, I used worked fine! However, on restart in Windows, I was getting the same question. By pressing 'r' caused the Run dialog box to appear, 'e' caused explore open and so on - as if the CTRL key was pressed at the same time.
* I tried the keyboard in USB ports - still does not properly.

So I rebooted using a PS2 Keyboard (Fortunately my motherboard a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - had PS2 ports)...
and the keyboard worked!

Then, I reinserted the original USB keyboard - and it worked as well! Like the other USB keyboard that I had tried.

Now, I don't know what the problem was or why put in a keyboard on the PS2 port worked and it cleared it all; but he did. I reinstalled my most recent image of my C: drive (I had reverted to an older one where something had changed recently in my system) - and the keyboard works OK.

So somehow the issue has been resolved!

I'll post again if the problem recurs - but for now, keep your fingers crossed.

Howth change the right CTRL key?

Lack of the right CTRL key to work in Excel. Is it possible to simulate the key right CTRL change key, say AltGR with CTRL?

I have a problem with the keyboard of the laptop HP Pavilion 15 ab062nl.
the problem is with the keys ALT SHIFT and CTRL on the keyboard.

CTRL key does not work as expected

There is a recurring issue going on with my keyboard or very probably my pc...

Well first to start with - I use a software type "ventrilo" called "mumble" that uses the 'CTRL' key as a key to talk with others in the same precedente.* *-could be a reason

My CTRL key seems really screw randomly until that moment, it turn on sticky keys [where ctrl has practically been pressed permanently] even if it is not enabled on the settings... which makes it really difficult to browse web site or use games because I'm unable to type.

Even if I try to disable it by using the two keys ctrl - it does not turn off...

When I try to copy and paste using my CTRL key left it appears just under the letter c or v when I'm trying to do, but when I do it with my right ctrl - it is successful...

I use also a program called "steam" that allows me to talk with others and play some games - but the sticky keys seem to be really stuck on this issue, I am unable to do anything...

Whenever I press 'a' after that it is already used once - it will remove 2 characters: example: I type AGT-> and I press 'a' once more-> deletions G and T

or whenever I have press BACKSPACE at all during a conversation of steam, it deletes everything.

Urgent W on it also a tab or an im window closed on...

pressing V will paste what I had copied at all, and finally pressing z would substitute a letter - for example: za-> type z once more-> towers to zz

Hello Kent,

Let us make sure that this isn't a keyboard problem. Connect a different keyboard to see if the CTRL key is working. If it works fine, then it is a problem of faulty device. You may need to replace the driver.

If this does not work on the new keyboard, then it must be a setting in the software that you have installed that is causing this problem.

As a work around, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the keyboard and check if this solves this problem.

1. type of Device Manager in the Start Search box and press on enter.

2. browse the keyboard.

3. right click on the mentioned keyboard driver and select Uninstall.

4. once the driver is uninstalled, restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

Note: Windows will automatically detect the keyboard and install the necessary driver via Windows updates.

While in a program (Quickbooks), I used to be able to tab to the next field when entering items, now when I hit the tab key, I get a pop-up window showing the other Windows I have open. How can I disable this feature? It's more boring and tedious.

It is possible that some of the situation as the Ctrl or Alt keys have the poor condition and Firefox sees them as always pressed.

Try pressing all the keys (shift, Ctrl, Alt) state several times to see if that helps to recover from this.

I'm here to inform a huge problem with the keyboard.
To play some games like Minecraft you will have to press certain keys (WASD to walk and jspace jump), but the keyboard automatically release all keys when a key is released.

Only the special keys like Ctrl, shift, Fn or Alt works.
I checked it with an app like Keyboardtest, then it is definitely a keyboard problem.
I also checked with external keyboard and it works.

You're talking about on the keyboard of the Tablet (touch screen keyboard) and not the keyboard dock.

Pavilion 23-h017c: The Key/icon of Windows do not work

Recently, my warranty has expired and I am now unable to open Windows from my Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 5000 (the key between CTRL and ALT on the left) or when I click on the Windows icon located in the lower left corner of my screen. When I click on the button, nothing happens at all. When I try to click the icon, the icon turns red, then nothing else happens. I used to use it to shut down my computer whenever I was using, but now I have to right click the icon to do this. I could also click this icon and be able to examine all the apps that were available for my computer from the app store. I can't do that either. I don't know even where to get the applications now.

Any help that you can provide to force me to be able to use this icon, as it was originally designed would be appreciated.

7.24 Skype crashes on CTRL + A

This morning I noticed my 7.24 Skype crashing when I hit the key combination CTRL + A (select all) in the chat. Reinstalled. No effect.
