Global variable generatning Ref script

Hi all!

I want to create a script for:
-create a new vi (its OK)

-create a global variable reference to a global variable of vi-s exist. -J' I need some help for this.

I think I need to load the global_variables_vi to the new vi and look for the variables and then create them.

pls help

Rather than specify the style (Global Variable), specify the path to the globa. VI.

  • Using global variables in all scripts

    Hello

    I have a SOAP client which runs the runScript method.

    SOAP requests to three, one after the other, call runScript and run a jsx on the server.

    Can I have some session-level variables / global whereby I can access via scripts?

    For example, during the execution of the first script, I put a variable. And even once during the second and third queries SOAP, I use the variable (defined in the 1st script) in the 2nd and 3rd scripts.

    How can I get the above?

    I would really appreciate some help on this.

    You can use the #targetengine or insertLabel methods.

    Incapacitated, I would say, of #targetengine, "session01" is the specific session will be exist until InDesign is running, which is not desirable. Those who will destroy only when you exit your application. I don't think that there is no collection for rescue here.

    However, insertLabel and extractLabel can be used on specific DOM objects, according to your need, including the app object.

    If you want to share variables between scripts on a document so that you can store variables on the document object:

    doc.insertLabel ("name", "value");

    So, once the document is closed all the labels are gone. You can choose according to your requirement, you want application-level globals (then use app.insertLabel), level of the document (then doc.insertLabel), spread of level, etc.

    -form1. #subform [0]: initialize :-(FormCalc, client).

    (I guess that's where I store global variables)

    At this point, global variables are not accessible with the above configuration.  Was the only one I can get this working is to cut and paste the Globals in each item of form1. #subform [0], which of course defeats the purpose of global variables!  I intend to have a lot more items so wouldn't duplicate global variables for each of them!

    Can someone show me how to do this?

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Post edited by: stanbridgej - colors and fonts or not will not save.  Are bolded my question make (non-fat) code easier to read (I hope).

    I haven't used Formccalc, but I thought it would be the same regardless. Insert a script object to the top of the hierarchy and call it, for example "sco." Paste the Globals. Then refer to variables of the extent that sco. Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1, etc. Make one

    App.Alert (sco. Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1);

    one of the fields. If the debugger is activated, it will tell you if it cannot resolve the reference as "sco. In this case, you may need to use the som expression to reference the script object, for example

    var scoScript = xfa.resolveNode ("topOfHierarchy.sco");

    scoScript.Cityscope_Sydney_CostUser1

    But if as close as possible to the top of the hierarchy above should work.

  • I don't get to use the global variable. Take a look in my form, please.

    Hello.

    I'm ashamed. I'm not able to use a base on the LiveCyle feature: Global Variable / object.

    I have a textfield for the user to put your name. Then, the user must click at the base. His name and value must be of value to a global variable, then I would use this value in any form.

    This look at my example I would use this value.

    https://Acrobat.com/#d=k0YlC1MXEdVTh1g2TXAJxw

    What is the error? I tried to put as a global variable, but it does not work.

    PS: Call of the value using textfield (TextField.rawValue = TextField2.rawValue), it works fine, but I prefer to use the variable

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Rafael,.

    I'm good thanks

    I do not know if I understood the question, but I think you're asking if it is possible to have a field that displays the value of a global variable (i.e. the 'view' you refer to), which is updated automatically via scripts of calculation or similar to but not dependent on another event, such as 'click '.

    In my view, using a linked across the object world is the only way, and you are right - it is certainly easier.

    Please let me know if I've not understood the question

    Thank you

  • Functional Global Variables: an indicator can be used instead of a shift register?

    It is a simple question, but I can't find an answer to it. The model agreed to a functional Global Variable is to use an uninitialized as in this example shift register:

    ('Référence IN' and ' Reference to "is actually a pile of references.) There is also a "Se Refnum" case, which comes the straight through the tunnels shift register.

    My question is, why can't we do store the indicator data? It is much simpler to use a shift register (IMHO a non obvious way to store global data!):

    The case "Se Refnum" does absolutely nothing. Other functions such as erasure of data can be implemented just as easily. The advantage of the FGV to help avoid race conditions is maintained because you always use the VI to access the data.

    JonP says:

    Not so much, the Inidicator can happily live outside the case structure, together and Clear would be just assign different values.

    If you have only a case structure, the indicator could not live outside of it.  In order to maintain the indicator data, your design requires that it is not written in for a case of Get.  If you have an exterior structure deal that decides on 'Get' or 'set or clear' and (in the case of "Set or clear") contains the terminal of the indicator and a classiquee case that decides on 'Set' or 'clear '.  However, I would consider this a design below using the standard template of the FGV.

    The difficulty with retrieving the value if you want to do a read operation / writing change. But LV provides many ways to retrieve data from an indicator (one you don't mention is the 'Value' property), do you mean that's all "incorrect"?

    Yes (I mean that they are all incorrect).

    You could hack your way around the design to work with a single structure of matter and the terminal of the indicator being outside using a method to read the value of the indicator and through a tunnel to the structure of the case through wiring for the tunnel of writing indicator in the case of 'Get '.  However, who will require a local Variable or value of property node.  As I said, these (I only mentioned the local Variable originally) are not good choices for performance and scalability.  If you are not aware of the functional differences between the terminals, local Variables and nodes of property value, refer to this article (obviously advantages/disadvantages such as redraw objects on the front panel are not relevant here).

    I guess you could say that indicators should only be written, but it is difficult to be pure!

    No, it's not, just use the classic design of the FGV!

  • global variables for the XML plugin problem

    Hello world

    recently I started working on a dialog box SOUTH, where the user can load the *.xml files in DIAdem.So much my code for the button looks like this:

    ....

    Call the FileNameGet ('ALL', 'FileRead","*.xml")
    Call DataFileLoad (FileDlgName, "XML_Plugin", "Load")

    ....

    And I must say that it works very well! I am able to load all listed in the devices file. BUT when I tried a number of loading devices, I used a global variable, that I defined in the vbscript file that I load the SOUTH since, I've noticed that global variables, I've defined with GlobalDim are not defined in the vbs.:mansurprised of XML_Pluging:

    Then I started to experiment and so far without success, no matter where I define global variables, in my plugin *.xml all not defined! The native commands even and DIAdem functrions does not work. If I run the script in tiara, it shows no errors, but when I use the plugin to open a file, then it gives an error. For example, MsgBox is not allowed.

    I used the plugin example for *.xml, which was published on the Web site of NOR, and I made a few changes. But overall I have it has not corrupted and I kept the same structure:

    Void ReadStore (File)

    Dim XmlFile: xmlFile = File.Info.FullPath
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
    'open the file '.
    OpenXMLFile xmlFile

    End Sub

    Void OpenXMLFile (xmlFile)
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
    ' Open MS - Xml Parser
    'Create the ActiveX object for the Microsoft XML parser.
    Dim XDoc: set xDoc = CreateObject ("MSXML2. DOMDocument.3.0")

    "Try to load the XML document
    If xDoc.Load (xmlFile) = False Then
    "Failed to load the document XML.
    RaiseError ' unable to load XML document!
    End If

    protected originalLocale: originalLocale = Getlocalte
    "SetLocale" en - us ".

    "The XML document loaded successfully!
    '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

    '----------------------------------------------
    "Read the header information.
    '----------------------------------------------

    Here, I have read some values of the header and then I loop on all devices present in the file!

    So basically I have two subroutines and that's all.

    SetLocale originalLocale

    End Sub

    So what I am doing wrong? Why global variables and other functions do not work. Is it because there is xml code in the script this way or it's a version problem?

    I use DIAdem 10.2. If I use global variables in other vbscripts, I use to draw curves for example I have no problem. Now I'm no *.xml code and no subroutines.

    I'd appreciate any solution that will make my *.xml plugin to work.

    Hi fscommand.

    It is expected all behavior.  Use XML, as all VBScript DataPlugins, runs in a separate VBScript host of the DIAdem VBScript host.  DIAdem VBScript host adds all global variables green and Red controls global to host Microsoft VBScript standard.  Use VBScript host has its own special abilities (file object, root object), but there is NO access to Globals green or red blanket orders in the reception of DIAdem VBScript.  Your SUDialog runs in a third host VBScript, which is separated from the other two and the other two are not capabilities (command SUDialog callback functions), but the SUDialog VBScript host and VBScript tiara share all global variables green and Red orders overall.

    Normally all blue VBScript commands are allowed in all 3 VBScripts hosts, but in the case of the DataPlugins MsgBox and InputBox functions were especially restrained because the dialogues could cause a lot of trouble with the DataFinder.  In fact, they have been allowed to 9.1 tiara which was the latest version of tiara for the DataFinder appear.

    So, why do you want to pass information between the XML use and tiara?  If you want to use to share information with DIAdem, then you should just expose every piece of information as a new property in the data portal, which can read and use the code VBScript DIAdem.  The path of the XML file is already available inside the use of XML.  What other information in the call VBScript DIAdem do you need to share with the use?

  • $global: variable defaultVIServer gets replaced by data warehouses in PowerCLI 6.0 Release 2

    I recently noticed a strange behavior with the variables global:defaultVIServer(s) of $.

    The content has been change in the middle of my script. especially after sub $global: defaultVIServer.Name

    10.10.10.10 for 10.10.10.10@443

    For some reason any port number was getting stuck at the end of the name field, which failed in the cmdlet Test-connection (ping).

    After some research, I went down to my use of the global variable of VMware, vmstores

    The following line replaces $global: defaultVIServer

    $dsList = (dir-path vmstores :)

    Code snippet

    to connect-VIServer $vctIP

    Global $: defaultVIServer | FL

    $dsList = (dir-path vmstores :)

    Global $: defaultVIServer | FL

    $dsList | FL

    You can see that $global: defaultVIServer gets replaced by the data of $dsList after the dir command

    Screenshots are attached.

    At least, I have to unplug my server and reconnect to solve this problem.

    Is there a better way to get the list of warehouses of data (and their paths) with PowerCLI 6.0?

    Maureen

    I only call this command in one place in my scripts, so I tested for a '@' char in the $global: variable DefaultViServer after this call and if I find it then I disconnect and reconnect to my servers.  This version fixes the global variable, which I use in other places in my scripts.

    I didn't change my scripts having to use the other variable, $global: DefaultVIServer.ServiceUri.Host,.

    because it would have been a little more difficult.

    In addition, when the bug fix is implemented, I won't change my scripts.

    Extracted from:

    foreach ($server in $global: DefaultViServers)

    {

    # check if @ tank is in the name; i.e. @port_number

    If ($server. Name - match ' @')

    {

    # split the name IP address and port number

    $serverNameList = $server. Name.Split('@')

    Disconnect $serverNameList VIServer [0]

    sleep - 1 seconds

    SE $serverNameList connect-VIServer [0]

  • APEX 4.2 translate data 'function and Global Variable declaration '.

    Hello everyone,

    I use APEX 4.2.1.00.08 and I wonder if there is a way to translate "Function and Global Variable declaration" textarea. Any other script text box is available for translation, but not this one.
    I know what the code is loaded on the header, but may contain important alert messages of global functions.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Grandmaster,

    "Function and global variables declaration" contains the JavaScript code, that is why it is not wise to include in the standard translation process.

    In my opinion, you have several options to access your translated messages:

    -) Use Application-> Substitutions or
    -) Store your message in the form of component shared-> SMS and and assign it to an application with the APEX_LANG element. Api MESSAGE (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_lang.htm#CHDBCEAB)

    In 'Function and Global Variable declaration' use substitution syntax to replace the value. For example:

    var myDeleteMessage = "&G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE.";
    ...
    alert(myDeleteMessage);

    where G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE would be a part of the application or the request for Substitution.

  • Compensation of Global Variables

    Before you start, I say I'm a Java_Virgin.  I had a form with a number I want to increment.  Found the script in another discussion and decided to give it a try.

    if (global.count == null) //checks to see if count exists
    {
    global.count = 1000000 //sets initial count, you can change to suite your needs
    global.setPersistent("count",true) //makes the counter a global object so it is persistent data
    }
    else
    global.count++ //increments the the counter by one when the document is opened
    var f = this.getField("jobCount") //creates a variable for the form field where the counter will be displayed
    f.value = global.count //sets the form field to equal the counter

    I placed it initially under Advanced--> Document processing--> Document Javascripts, but it doesn't seem to work (Nothing).  I then decided to try processing documents-> advanced options-> set the Document Actions and used the same code for "Document will be printed.  It worked.  Every time I printed, the field would increment, print, then the displayed field to increment.  Then came the problem.  I forgot to change the initial counter "1000000", so I changed it, but the global field remained the same and would not change.  The number needed to use comes from a set of shapes of the State of Maryland and the starting number changes with each batch of 100, so I need to regularly change the starting number.  Could not understand how, so I changed the name of the variable 'number' in the script to something else and it works now.

    How can I clear this variable so that the initial number of script takes effect?  I fear not hand this variable compensation, as I only need to do once all the few months.

    To delete a global variable you can use the command "delete", like this (you

    can run this code in the JS console):

    delete global.count;

    The only way I can think to do this is to know what workspace I'm running in. I how I determine this code, is there I can refer to a variable of apex.

    This can be done by using the views of APEX:

    select workspace_id, workspace
    from apex_workspaces
    where workspace_id = v('WORKSPACE_ID')

    Also a global variable is adjustable in the apex? If so it is defined on the homepage?

    Normally it would be a part of the application, defined using a calculation of the Application.

    Hello Kawa,

    When you say variable overall, do you mean to say the element of application level? If Yes, then you need to refer to that element, the same way that you reference level page elements using the: syntax.

    Change your query to something like this...

    Select '

  • Creating global variables

    Hello

    I'm looking for the best way to create global variables so that the script can run on all versions of adobe reader. I tried to gobal.varibaleName to the initialize event of the form, but this works only in earlier versions of the designer. I tried to use script variables, but there always Initializes the variable to the string value. I wrote some functions on the script object, and each time everything works fails, one count of global variable gets incremented. The event of the form potsave if the value of count is greater than 0, a simple warning message is displayed. Now how declare and initialize and increment this variable count so that the script can run on all versions of adobe reader?

    You must change your code little...

    First of all,

    All Global Variables are of Type string. If you use a sign "+" to add a number it will treat the value as a string and add at the end.

    So if you want to do digital calculations on global variables, first you need to convert to the type of law.

    In the code below I am analysis the value of an Integer type first before I increment.

    Second,

    You have created a name variable 'count', which could be a reserved name. Try to avoid names reserved for variables. So I created a variable "intCount."

    Third,

    According to increment the value if you want to assign the value to a global variable you need to string conversion. (reverse as you earlier in step 1 by conversion string integer)

    var a = parseInt (intCount.value) + 1; Step 1

    intCount.value = a.toString ();   Step 2
    var b is parseInt (intCount.value) + 1;.  Step 3
    intCount.value = b.toString ();  Step 4

    Thank you

  • Global variables in Flash CS4 (AS3)?

    Hello

    I have another problem with my new project and I'm looking for the answers to these two questions:

    1.) is there a way to define a global variable that can be accessed inside and a button, or a video clip? (where you define it? is it changeable? can pass you in by reference?)

    2.) if I have my main stage with some actionscript and a clip that also has action script, IN WHAT ORDER it is not running?

    Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

    package {}

    public class glo {}

    public static var ball: Object = {};

    }

    }

    should be in a class file named glo.as

    Click on file/new/actionscript file.  Paste the code above and save this file as glo.as

    then in a category where you want to assign a global variable use:

    GLO of import;

    glo.bal.widthOfSlider = 5;

    and in a category where you want to retrieve this variable, use:

    GLO of import;

    trace (GLO.bal.widthOfSlider);

  • Setting the value of an element of Application (defining a global variable);

    Apex 3.2.0.00.27, I need to initialize a global variable to 0 to implement a variable to test to see if something on the page has changed. Will update to 1 when some lists of selection on the page are changed. Read through a few similar questions and answers within the forum, as well as blogs and other sites. So, I think that what I do is the way forward in this regard. Unfortunately, my point/global application initialization is not past yet. Here's an overview of what has been implemented:

    1) has created an element of demand, G_CLASSIFICATION_ID_NEW in the shared components.
    (2) created the Javascript (JS) function called by addLoadEvent area header html page so when the page is loaded, the application global/G_CLASSIFICATION_ID_NEW element should be set to 0 with the following JS and using AJAX and htmldb_GET:

    < script type = "text/javascript" >
    function initVars()
    {
    Alert ("before the initvars get");
    get var = new htmldb_Get (null, $x('pFlowId').value, null, 22);
    Get.Add ('G_CLASSIFICATION_ID_NEW', 0);
    gReturn = get.get ();
    {if (gReturn)}
    Alert (gReturn.value);
    }
    get = null;
    Alert ("after get initvars");
    }

    Alert ("before the call to the initpage");
    addLoadEvent (initVars ());
    < /script >

    I used the htmldb_Get successfully to populate other global variables and processes on request with onchange THAT JS call in the attributes of html form elements select list on the page. Later, I check the globals via the Session view and research on elements of Application. Unfortunately, I'm missing something, because my G_CLASSIFICATION_ID_NEW never gets filled when I load the page. The Alerts popup every when the page is loaded, so I know that the script is running when the page loads. alert (gReturn.value) is not defined. And, of course, the G_CLASSIFICATION_ID_NEW to 0 does not place.

    I tried the htmldb_Get with her call for a process of application and without (null value). What I read, you should not need to call an application process to have the get.add of the value of the global variable. Here again, this could be where I'm wrong. However, as I mentioned, it works for the other functions called from an onchange to fill a part of the application, but the page has already loaded when the onchange (s) executed. They can work because the page is already loaded when the onchange is called. My point here is that my other on application processes are NOT set or modify global variables at all. The globals are preparing with the get.add (< element app >, < value >) part of my other JS works within the HTML header area. So I'm inclined to believe that I don't need 'application_process = < some_odp >' set parameter, but if it is not true, please let me know. If so, what should be in the application process-that is to say, what would be the purpose of the get.add (< application item >, < value >) if I set the global variable in the application process on because it's the only thing I could think to do within an application process on for this?

    If someone can point out what I'm not understand or, failing to do it here, that would be great. I am doing fine with APEX, but don't consider myself a guru with it immediately. I'm certainly not a JS/AJAX guru, and when things like that, go astray, I get bogged down because I'm not sure of the problem. So, I hope that you gurus who monitor this forum can get going in the right direction.

    Thank you
    Bob

    Hello

    Create page 0 (zero) to your application.
    Then try this javascript in your HTML page header

  • The values of global variables change spontaneously

    I am currently doing a quiz/board game. There is a 'Question to card' button that goes to a random image in a specified movie. All images in this film has a question with answers that make players advence on the Board of Directors. The problem is, I have to make sure that once a question appeared and has received a reply, it cannot pop up again. I thought to declare a global variable for each question ("_global.q1" in question 1 and so on) in the framework one of the movie root with a value of '0 '. The answers to each question, to move the pieces on the Board, becomes the '1' variable value (on (release) {_global.q1 = "1"}). And directly under each question of the film container question, I made an invisible film with the script below, thinking the first time governing load the variable must be set to 0, then the question will load normally. and later, since the answer is set to 1, the script below in the next section. Thus, no question is repeated.

    onClipEvent (enterFrame) {}
    If (_global.q1 = '1') {this._parent.nextFrame ()};
    }

    However, on the film tests, I push the button with the gotoAndPlay (random ()) and all my values of variables defined by one, taking me all the way to the last image in the question that contains the movie.

    > If (_global.q1 = "1")

    Must be:

    If (_global.q1 is "1")

    A = single assignment, a double == is a test for equality.
