APEX 4.2 translate data 'function and Global Variable declaration '.

Hello everyone,

I use APEX 4.2.1.00.08 and I wonder if there is a way to translate "Function and Global Variable declaration" textarea. Any other script text box is available for translation, but not this one.
I know what the code is loaded on the header, but may contain important alert messages of global functions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Grandmaster,

"Function and global variables declaration" contains the JavaScript code, that is why it is not wise to include in the standard translation process.

In my opinion, you have several options to access your translated messages:

-) Use Application-> Substitutions or
-) Store your message in the form of component shared-> SMS and and assign it to an application with the APEX_LANG element. Api MESSAGE (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35127/apex_lang.htm#CHDBCEAB)

In 'Function and Global Variable declaration' use substitution syntax to replace the value. For example:

var myDeleteMessage = "&G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE.";
...
alert(myDeleteMessage);

where G_MY_DELETE_MESSAGE would be a part of the application or the request for Substitution.

  • DLL and global variables

OK, here's a strange problem.  I am very new to create the dll, so I don't know that I have just an installation problem.

But I'm trying to pass a global variable of a host program to its attached DLL.  I got this job when I was the CVI 2014. I recently upgraded to 2015 and then started getting "undefined symbols" errors.  With some struggle I managed to compile again, but broke the variable connection in the process.

I have compiled my DLL in debug mode so that I walk in from the test project.  Right now, my global variable exists in the test project, as well as in the DLL.

Can I export the variable and the use of DLLIMPORT/DLLEXPORT?  Confused and curiously not to find anyone quite like this on the forums.

EDIT: this post stack overflow described pretty well from my experience.  I am linking statically.

Well, what do you know?  I found my problem.  This draft article and example WERE vital to the solution.  This article called, "using the Export method qualifier"was also useful.  I'll cut to the Chase...

If you use a qualifier of export on the definition and the import on the declaration, LabWindows/CVI identifier export symbol.

    This is the right key.

So in my example, it should look like this:

    DLL fichier.c

    int DLLEXPORT varName = 0;

    Header.h DLL

    int DLLIMPORT varName;

    Project that uses DLL.c

    #include "header.h DLL.

varName! = 1 ;  a method to change this variable for local use

Pretty easy, huh?  But wow, it took some time to find.

  • Get local and global variables using API

Hi, I do in LV a Publisher for TS. The user should be able to change the value of global variables and the inhabitants of file. Using the TS API, it is possible to get all files of Globals and locals without knowing the name of these variables have ts? I mean, if I knew the name I could use the value of property Get with the search string. But if the I do not know the name of the variable, can I get the list (and their values) of the variable?

    Thank you very much.

    Try the following link

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=330&message.ID=3390&query.ID=6624776#M3390

    In summary:

Use the GetNumSubProperties method to get the total number of inhabitants / FileGlobals.

Use GetNthSubProperty to get sub properties using the index starting with 0 to GetNumSubProperties-1

Use the Name property to get the name of the subproperty.

  • Apex 4 or 5 zoom function and macros and update questions

Presently, got open users in Excel via odbc tables and I want to transfer to Apex.

    1. How can I reduce the Apex down police according to the Excel zoom feature so that more data gets to the screen.   I want a LOT of data on the screen, Ive got some end users who wish to up to 100 + rows and columns of 30 +, they don't mind the size and readability, the screens are big and have macros that are constantly highlighting changes to data they are interested in what brings us to question 2

    2. how macros script to Flash color changes.

    3. how data streams constantly modify data in a table live the Apex report and apply these macros.   Refresh rate?

IM in dev with version 4, but if a feature isn't available until the level 5 I can hold off.

    Hello

All the above mentioned requirements can be done in one of the APEX, version 4 or 5.

    1. it is a change of POLICE CSS based on the model of HTML page, and it is supported in the APEX 4 and 5 times.

    2. for changes from flashing color macros (formulas), you should design your SQL query and insert various HTML tags in SQL query results.

    3. updating of the page tables, can be programmed using jQuery functions.

So, basically we expect 5 APEX as your condition does not use what is explicit to APEX 5.0 /.

  • Lessons on the looping and global variables in functions

I'm trying to gather a complete inventory of virtual machines and hosts in my environment.  For VMS, I am train to collect the information below but problem a loop in the case of hard drives and network cards.  For example, on hard drives, I get the following result:

    VMNIC1: Network card 1
    NICMAC1: 00:50:56:87:01:e6
    NICNetwork1: dvPortGroup6666

    NICState1: Logged, GuestControl, StartConnected
    HDName1: hard drive 2
    StorageFormat1: thin
    HDCapacityGB1: 100
    Datastore1: [RXCXN00020] host108a/host108a_1.vmdk

As you can see, only the last instance of the disc is saved in my outings.  In other words, HDNamex is never incremented but the value (here "drive 2") always represents the last disk that is, this virtual machine has two disks.  I have a few virtual methods with five disks and, in this case, there HDName 1 to a value of hard drive 5.  How properly I loop through each instance of my hard drives?

A key part of my information on Virtual Machines is the Cluster they are on.  This value, however, is only available by attribute parent of the host object.  Therefore, I created a hash table to try to do that research, but it seems that the hash table is lost outside the function Get-HostInfo.  Note the Get-VMInfo function tries to access the values in this Hashtable with the following result:

Cannot perform indexing in a null table.
    D:\scripts\VMInventory.ps1:36 tank: 82
    + $VMStuff | Add-Member-type noteproperty-name HostCluster-value $HostHashTa

    + CategoryInfo: InvalidOperation: (host012.domain.com:VMHostIm
    [of] pl), RuntimeException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId: NullArray

Looks like I need to be "global" and not just its function, this hash table.  Any help of any of these two issues would be greatly appreciated.  Here is my code:

    $VMatSite | Get-VMInfo

The problem is that the Export-CSV cmdlet examines the properties of the first record it only reads and displays the properties for all the records. You can leave the script write a dummy record as the first album with all the columns that are possible. That will solve this problem.

  • How to access a global variable that is common between the different baskets project library

My project consist of several libraries, after generation the library project packed for each library, I find it cannot share data in a global variable between different packaged project library file. For example: packed project library #1 contains VI variables global wirte 'position' and give it a value '400 '. Library #2 present another VI project try to read this global variable, but he gave reading of is NULL not "400". Why has this happened? Is it possible to solve, welcome any help, I wll appreciate for this!

If you understand what is happening here...

When you build a PPL, it takes in the .lvlib and also all the dependencies of the .lvlib.

In your case, when you generate the Test Task.lvlib in a .lvlibp, she also pulls on a copy of the DataProcess.lvlib:GlobalsVariable.vi because it's addictive to read GlobalVar.vi.

When your application runs, you end up with two copies of GlobalsVariable.vi in memory:

    DataProcess.lvlibp:GlobalsVariable.vi

    AND

Test Task.lvlibp:: GlobalsVariable.vi (I don't know how PPLs namespace dependencies... If there is still the DataProcess.lvlibp)

Because they are different screws (i.e. in a different namespace), they have their own memory and that's why you can't access the data.

Your Test Task.lvlibp calls the version of GlobalsVariable.vi, he pulled the dependencies.

To solve this problem - you must ensure that Task.lvlibp of Test calls the version of GlobalsVariable.vi of the DataProcess.lvlibp - you'll need to replace all instances with the version of the PPL. Of course, if you run DataProcess in the development environment, then it will always be bad namespaced, hence the suggestion to put your global variable VI in is own PPL that you then use in the process of data and Test tasks.

  • Global variable among the jurisdictions in BPEL

    Hi all

I have an FTP adapter in my bpel process. I read the header, tail, and then the data. The header, the tail and the data have their own instance. I would like to store the header data in a GLOBAL variable, so I can use these data in the instance of my data. So basically I need a global variable such that I can access when I'm in my instance of data. I don't want to write to a file or a database, is it possible to have a global variable among the many cases that retain the value and is not deleted when the instance is completed?

    Thank you

    Hello

Instead of thinking about global variable why cant you think of the instance variable. See, all serialized instance BPEL variables you can use even no it is finished.
But the thing is, you must have access to an instance of other BPEL processes BPEL variable. Simple. You can do this by BPEL process APIs.

    com.oracle.bpel.client.IBPELProcessHandle
    com.oracle.bpel.client.IInstanceHandle
    com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator

These three classes will help you recover data from a single process instance. You can enjoy your condition.

  • global variable of void vs variable

    Hi guru; s,

I'm not able to find a lot about global variables.

What is the difference between the variable substitution and global variable?  Why do we have local variable in planning?

    Thanks, RN.

Essbase uses variables to override global and local variables (application).  The choice is yours.  Global substitution variables can be used by applications and are easy to change because there are once - a single variable that is accessible to all.  Local variables are not accessible to all and generally apply only to a specific application.

A good example of a global variable would be curmonth.  In this case, a current month would apply to all applications.  An example of a local variable can be

a value is assigned specifically to a single application, for example the amount of stores for one of the special database NYStores or London.

I think that BR used limited global and local scope variables.

  • global variable functional to read and write data from and to the parallel loops

    Hello!

Here is the following situation: I have 3 parallel while loops. I have the fire at the same time. The first loop reads the data from GPIB instruments. Second readers PID powered analog output card (software waveform static timed, cc. Update 3 seconds interval) with DAQmx features. The third argument stores the data in the case of certain conditions to the PDM file.

I create a functional global variable (FGV) with write and read options containing the measured data (30 double CC in cluster). So when I get a new reading of the GPIB loop, I put the new values in the FGV.

In parallel loops, I read the FGV when necessary. I know that, I just create a race condition, because when one of the loops reads or writes data in the FGV, no other loops can access, while they hold their race until the loop of winner completed his reading or writing on it.

In my case, it is not a problem of losing data measured, and also a few short drapes in some loops are okey. (data measured, including the temperature values, used in the loop of PID and the loop to save file, the system also has constants for a significant period, is not a problem if the PID loop reads sometimes on values previous to the FGV in case if he won the race)

What is a "barbarian way" to make such a code? (later, I want to give a good GUI to my code, so probably I would have to use some sort of event management,...)

If you recommend something more elegant, please give me some links where I can learn more.

I started to read and learn to try to expand my little knowledge in LabView, but to me, it seems I can find examples really pro and documents (http://expressionflow.com/2007/10/01/labview-queued-state-machine-architecture/ , http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Community-Nugget-2009-03-13-An-Event-based-messageing-framework/m-p/... ) and really simple, but not in the "middle range". This forum and other sources of NEITHER are really good, but I want to swim in a huge "info-ocean", without guidance...

I'm after course 1 Core and Core 2, do you know that some free educational material that is based on these? (to say something 'intermediary'...)

    Thank you very much!

I would use queues instead of a FGV in this particular case.

A driving force that would provide a signal saying that the data is ready, you can change your FGV readme...  And maybe have an array of clusters to hold values more waiting to be read, etc...  Things get complicated...

A queue however will do nicely.  You may have an understanding of producer/consumer.  You will need to do maybe not this 3rd loop.  If install you a state machine, which has (among other States): wait for the data (that is where the queue is read), writing to a file, disk PID.

Your state of inactivity would be the "waiting for data".

The PID is dependent on the data?  Otherwise it must operate its own, and Yes, you may have a loop for it.  Should run at a different rate from the loop reading data, you may have a different queue or other means for transmitting data to this loop.

Another tip would be to define the State of PID as the default state and check for new data at regular intervals, thus reducing to 2 loops (producer / consumer).  The new data would be shared on the wires using a shift register.

There are many tricks.  However, I would not recommend using a basic FGV as your solution.  An Action Engine, would be okay if it includes a mechanism to flag what data has been read (ie index, etc) or once the data has been read, it is deleted from the AE.

There are many ways to implement a solution, you just have to pick the right one that will avoid loosing data.

  • Data Guard and auditor of the Apex

    Hi all

I seem to be unable to understand the configuration of parameters for protective Apex listener when connecting to a database.

We have a lot of servers of databases (without data guard) and we use the command line Wizard to generate the configuration file. It's straigthforeward and

But for a guard database, there are two servers and I seem to be unable to set it in the right way. After doing some research I came across the parameter apex.db.customURL which should solve the problem.

    What Miss me?

You must create two entries in the configuration file "defaults.xml" for your ADR (formerly APEX Listener).

One for db.connectionType and, secondly, for db.customURL, for example:

    customurl
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=
    (ADDRESS=(COMMUNITY=tcp.world)(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=DB-ENDUR)(Port = 1520))

  • How to establish the relationship between the tables contact and Global (entity) in Oracle Service Cloud to preconfigure data

    Hello

We strive to integrate the OPA attributes to the Cloud Service Oracle tables to store session data for the customer portal users.

We tried mapping the attributes of the OPA with relevant tables of cloud Service Oracle? Is there any installation of additional data to create to retrieve the session data for the particular user / contact?

We managed to save tha data in arrays of cloud Service for users of ananymous and also well regarding customers portal users but to preconfigure data do we need to do any additional configuration / mapping to the contact table?

Please help on the establishment of the relationship between the contact and Global (new table created in cloud Service) tables.

    Thank you

    Vivek

    Hi Vivek,

To load data from the Contact in the the OPA policy template, you must configure the widget of the OPA. For instructions, see the following articles:

    - Incorporate an interview that uses data portals in Oracle Service Cloud Customer Portal

    - Deploy and configure the sample OPA widget

    - Insert the widget to sample in a customer portal page

Obviously, you need to do the mapping in OPM as well, but even if the mapping is correct, you will not be able to load the Contact data unless the widget of the OPA is implemented.

    See you soon,.

  • Apex access user meta-data such as first name and family name

Is it possible to access the metadata user such as the name and surname of the logged-on user? I know how to get the username through APP_USER, but I'd like to be able to access the other meta-data user that are stored in the user record. Thanks for any help.

.. .to not to mention when one of my users will on the lamb and change their alias... :-) I agree with your observation of 3NF, and am happy insert the user ID and join for the statement, but what to attach to? I can't find a file specifications for user apex data table, and the suspect is not generally available in view of the apex_util.fetch_user requires permission from the admin.

No, it is accessible to the public through the view of APEX APEX_WORKSPACE_APEX_USERS. The data in the view are visible to one workspace schemas.

Note however that for the serious long term production use Oracle (and me) recommends creating a sign personalized with user data in your own tables.

  • Oracle form functions and procedures in the APEX, how?

I'm working to recreate in the APEX, already existing read only forms in Oracle Forms. Report features interactive APEX among other things, in fact worth as well as to target a different audience than utilizies versions of Oracle Form. Versions of Oracle Forms use a lot of pre and post query triggers, PLSQL functions.

In Oracle Forms that places, these functions can be found in the "Units of program" section of the form. A feature typical of this kind, based on a particular Mission ID route, collecting names of regular passengers, is shaped with a comma and a space after each of them, in a single string that is returned and displayed the list of passengers of a line.

I have all of this written code so I can move most of the main request of the Oracle form in an interactive report. These functions and triggers called in the form of the "Units of program" section of the Oracle form rather than stored in the database schema in a package, where they would go inside the APEX? Can I create a 'shortcut' in the APEX and call it from the interactive report "Source Région"? I can create the PLSQL function at the level of the region of the interactive report or page level? Or, my best bet creates a package that is stored in the database, all these functions and/or proecedures I might need the original form of Oracle?

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think I've been pretty clear in the description of the specific thing I want to do, simply, it does not reach the level of forms of conversion of the APEX. It is basically a problem of PLSQL function.

I have an interactive report which is currently 90 percent of what I want however, each line, which represents a Mission may have several feet. Each arm has two places or ICAO codes attached to it. Based on the number of Mission, I want to loop through the array of leg, collect all the codes of ICAO for this Mission, put them together in 1 variable separated by a coma and add this variable to display the columns in this interactive report as the last column.

In Oracle Forms, I have a function registered in the database, which is called in the main query. Maybe I ask a question that does not need to be asked, but anyway my question is can I put this function currently in the database somewhere within the interactive report and somehow reference it via Http, or should I just stick with set of functions and procedures in the packages stored in the database and called the conventional way?

You could switch the function to the database and call it from the report query, but it sounds as if it were superfluous. In the report query using any form of Re: 4. How can I convert rows to columns? is appropriate for your version of the (unspecified) database.

When you have a problem, you will get an answer faster, more efficient including information as much information as possible from the outset. This should include:

  • Full version of APEX
  • Complete operating system DB, version, edition, host
  • Architecture of Web server (EPG, SST or APEX listener/host operating system)
  • Browser (s) and version (s) used
  • Theme
  • Model (s)

  • Region/section type (s) (particularly as to distinguish if a 'report' is a standard report, an interactive report, or indeed a 'update report' (i.e. a tabular presentation))

With APEX, we also had the chance to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproduce things is the best way to solve most of the questions, particularly those relating to the layout and Visual formatting. If you expect a detailed response it is appropriate that you take on an important part of the effort by getting as much as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for help on specific issues, then we can see firsthand.

  • Call the function in LabView from a DLL, and then access the global variable of DLL

I've created a DLL in LabWindows with a function and structure.  I want to call the function from LabView and then access the overall structure.  I am able to call the function in the DLL with a "call library function node" and has access to the return value, but I can't understand how to access the overall structure.  The structure is declared in the header DLL with __declspec (dllimport) struct parameters file.

Is it possible to access this structure without using the library of network variables?

My guess is that you need two bytes of padding after "in_out" and another to two bytes of padding after "anin."  The reason being that ints are 4 bytes, and most of them C compilers will align on 4-byte boundaries.  The struct will naturally start to such a limit (in fact, in Windows, it will probably start to an 8 byte boundary).  If you then count bytes in your structure, you are 70 byte after "in_out."  70 is not divisible by 4, so you need 2 bytes more to reach the next 4 byte boundary.  You can also you could reorganize your struct so that "anin" follows "in_out" and this is probably the best option if it won't cause you other problems.

Unlike most C compilers, LabVIEW compressed structures as closely as possible, without filling.  I don't know enough about the history of LabVIEW and internal parts to explain the reasons and to do this performance penalty, but, as choice of LabVIEW "endianness", it is probably a remnant of the first versions of LabVIEW that were running on the Mac.

If for some reason you want to force your C struct to match package LabVIEW, you can use the #pragma pack (x) directive, but I wouldn't recommend that here because you can control the C and LabVIEW.

EDIT: in the cases where it was not clear, add padding to your cluster of LabVIEW, insert appropriate size or items at the place desired in the cluster.
