Google advanced search problems?

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I thought I should ask before the official test of impregnation for ICS. When do a google search when I select the time: 1 week, 1 day, 1 hour just default search to the page of mobile coverage of Google without performing the search. Does anyone else have this problem? Everyone has found a work around? I know that ICS is supposed to have several browser updates. Hoping that they fix this in the next version.

I have not had this experience. When you begin your search?

If I start mine of http://www.google.ca/advanced_search, put in a sentence and then, for example, choose "last 24 hours", I find myself on the page of Google search, with results and a clear blue banner under the search window that says "last 24 hours" in it.

    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

    You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  • How can I change the address to google bar search engine?

    Basically, I want to make google the search engine by default, I tried to change the thing: the url of the keyword in the config that is not working, the search engine bar is set to google, but the address bar back to Yahoo which I don't want.

    The key word. Pref URL is no longer used in current versions of Firefox.
    Firefox uses the same search engine (by default) for the address bar and the subject: such home page as defined for the search bar.

    It is more likely a problem caused by an extension.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

    Help! A few days previously, toolbar 'Advanced search Nation' (SIN) began to appear when I opened Firefox. I removed the SIN application of my computer that got rid of the toolbar, but now when I click to open a new tab, the tab opens with the URL of NAS. I was not able to prevent this. I downloaded and installed Firefox again, but that has not worked. I used the Spotlight to search for advanced search of Nation, but none were found.   • How can I delete google custom search bar of about: newtab page

    When I open Firefox or a new tab I updated: newtab which is great and all. Recently, I noticed a Google search bar on the new tab page, however, it immediately affect my cursor. I type in the address normal upstairs bar. If I do not do that tedious extra step click on the address bar before typing, it opens on Google Custom Search Engine. Has no images, maps, etc. the tabs along the top. Make a simple task to find something or other but just that much more boring to do, because I have to type in the address in bar.

    So I was hoping there is a way to remove this search bar Google annoying custom of my remarks: newtab?
    Or at least get my cursor in the address bar, not the bar Google Custom Search.

  • The Google web search results 'not fair' in Firefox

    I'm having a problem using Google search on the web (toolbar and directly from google.com) in Firefox. When I search a keyword, lets say a company name and you wait to make appear the company Web site, the results include videos, articles, news, etc. None of the main company Web site are included in search results. There is no problem with Google web search in IE or Chrome.

    Here's a specific example: "Mozilla Firefox" in Google search you use Firefox there are some 31,600,000 results with the top 10 being random sites on Firefox browsers. When I search "Mozilla Firefox" in Google using IE, there are only some 130,000,000 (4 times more), with the best results being www.mozilla.org/and other Mozilla sites 'main '.

    I ran all the patches malware/Antivirus software recommended, reinstalled Firefox, update of a few add-ons/plug-ins I have, and made sure that Google search parameters are exactly the same for all browsers. Nothing works.

    Did anyone else encounter this problem or have a guess at what may be the cause of this? I have spent a few hours trying to fix it and am willing to give up Firefox, so far that is (was) my go to the browser.

    Please check if this happens in a new profile. If it's good, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings to another separate location of the files/folder. A new profile would default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and topic: config ) and usually also would be vacuum of Extensions and themes (appearance) in tools > Add-ons) and their parameters. In addition, a new profile would have no previous website stored data/settings etc, (Tools > clear recent history).

  • Windows Update service does not and Outlook advanced search does not

    Have Vista Home Premium on an HP laptop. Running Norton Internet Security Antivirus and firewall.
    There is a month upgrade Office 2003 to Office 2010.
    With Office 2003, I used to give a list of updates, and I would choose where I wanted to, but noticed

    recently that I had no updates online. When I click on the button to make an update, nothing happens.
    In addition, advanced search in Outlook does not work, it ends in a microsecond and produces no result.

    Tried to change updates to not automatically updated, and then again on auto - no effect.
    Tried to go in safe mode and still couldn't do an update.
    Have run ccleaner and Tweaking.com Windows don't repair - no effect
    A ran a repair on Office 2010-no effect
    Have checked in that Crypto, BITS and Windows Update are all in automatic mode and Services are started.
    Have run the Fixit for update problems, - no effect.
    Running the program and got - Windows Update Standalone Installation Setup met with an error-0xc8000247
    Ran sfc/scannow and it brings just a search without search results window.

    Have noticed in the Event Viwer:

    The Cryptographic Services service failed to initialize the catalog database. The ESENT error is:-583. ID 257.

    I also get a warning 1008 on:
    The Windows Search Service tries to remove the old catalog.

    and a 9000 error:
    The Windows Search Service cannot open the Jet property store.

  • Disabled Options of Outlook 2007 indexing and advanced search options

    Im running Windows 7 RC1 Ultimate x 64 and I recently started having a problem with Outlook 2007. Somehow all advanced search options (hit the double arrow to the right of the Inbox "search" field to specify, body, subject, etc.) are disabled - that is grayed out and I can't use them. If I go to the search options in Outlook all under the category indexing and search is also disabled. Finally, I noticed that if I go into Windows Indexing Options > change, under the heading change of the chosen places 'Microsoft Office Outlook' is grayed out as and when I go over it the ToolTip says "indexing of Outlook emails like summer disabled by the system administrator.

    I confirmed this isn't something set via Group Policy, because I have several other similar PC which presents all works very well on. The only thing I can think is vaguely remembered changing some indexing options a bit back to allegedly to increase performance, but I don't remember what that or if I did before or after loading Win7.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Just need to change some registry settings to get this working again.

  • Google Custom Search + the layer order?

    I took over a Web of Adobe Muse site built by someone else. There is a problem of overlap with a Google Custom Search box. (Html/shipped).

    When someone uses Google Custom Search functionality, search results appear in the content of the site. (Images, under the terms of the text, etc.)

    I've repositioned the Google custom search box in a whole new layer, positioned this new layer as the highest layer, and thought the problem would be to set. However, the problem is still there. What happens here? How can I get the search results for the priority layer?

    This means the area where the display of search results is a div with a name and an identification code?

  • Advanced search for a price range while searching for an empty values using php in DW

    I'm creating an advanced search with DW php. I want to present a research where some titles can be left black. If looking for empty values (which I did, thank you David Powel), however then research across a range of prices doesn't seem to work.

    Ultimately I don't check if the values were empty, as it worked fine without. However, the switch of the price did not work in combination with the rest of the query.

  • Advanced search works only with verification of the equality of the sexes

    I don't know if this is something you can help me or if I'm missing something completely obvious.

    I have a 'advanced search form' which has a few options to check through for example age, city, nationality, etc. and I have two sets of records, one for the user who has the gender are stored in $SameGenderCheck

    And I have a SQL query for the search criteria for the search form.

    Here's the SQL statement:

    Okay, I think that it is actually the part that is causing problems for you. You want that all the criteria to NARROW your results.  You want to ethnicity, nationality, marital_history and the height to be optional criteria, so you have combined with the rest of the statement with a RC. But an OR condition will always expand results, not close. If you must change the first residence in one and. GOLD is used within the jurisdiction parens for these criteria are OK.

    But here's the problem; If the user has no entry for ethnic origin, nationality, the marital_history and the height of the criteria, no results will be returned. Regular SQL will not solve your problem. You can work around the problem by replacing the equality by the LIKE predicate operator and put a wildcard for users who do not have that criterion in their profile. But that works only for text fields, not digital, and I don't like.

    A better solution is to dynamically create the WHERE clause, remove the criteria of ethnicity, nationality, marital_history and the height of the WHERE clause if the user does not have these fields completed.

  • Advanced search in Reader 9 for packages w / embedded indexes created in Acrobat 8.1

    I'm having a terrible day.  I just finished combining thousands of documents in packages of 6 w / embedded index using Acrobat 8.1.  The advanced search feature allowed me to enter several names of peoples' Wilkes Terry White Smith Johnson and I could select to "Match any of the words" and I would be able to see all the documents mentioned any of these names.  The problem is that my boss doesn't have Reader 9 installed and its advanced search screen seems quite different for the nice advanced search screen that I can see.  I can't figure out how to get all the features of advanced search so he can use it.  If he enters several names 'Wilkes Terry White Smith', he gets no success because the system is assuming that I am looking for a person named "Wilkes Terry White Smith."  Is it possible to have the search find 'Match any of the words' rather than 'Match the exact phrase' using Reader 9.  I'm in trouble tomorrow.

    Yes; If the embedded index is always present and 'Search' rather than 'Find' is used.

    Edit > search rather than edit > find.

    The research requires the embedded index, or an index of catalog.

    If a PDF with the embedded index undergoes a "save under" the embedded index is deleted and the PDF file saved to support the quick display of Web pages.

  • Advanced search in the JHS 11.1.1.2.29 release

    In JHS Technical Preview 2 there was a possibility in the advanced search to use the extended search (good).

    JHS production 11.1.1.2.29, this feature is missing. Y at - there somewhere a setting?
