• How can you play a movie on the Xoom?

  OK now my turn to ask a stupid question. How are you supposed to play a movie on the xoom? Let's say you have the file downloaded in the movies folder, what is the formal process to play this movie?

  I realize that I can use my file manager to select the movie and he will play, but it seems to me that there should be an icon or an app for it as showing a picture or play music with the icon of the music. I'm looking at this point of view of someone who isn't a geek and want to play a movie?

  We've just got a new laptop Windows 7 Ultimate and have been
  enjoy watching episodes of the Twilight Zone and Star Trek classic
  free in WMC. Does anyone know if there is free movies
  available to watch them in WMC? I was hoping that it would be
  something like that in alignment with guide channels. Which of
  strange thing is, when we first got this PC, I remember being able to
  looking at a watch a free movie (Cable Guy) of WMC. Now I can't

  I can access my Gmail accounts very well. I can't search on a subject without my XOOM screen darkening slightly and "freeze". The Google widget reacts the same way. I just bought the unit this month.

  I have Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 m 8.

  some laptops for most of the newer mine, even with other brands are equipped with a protection system of the hard disk as the Lenovo ThinkVantage. I wonder if this is just a software or integrated into a thing of material inside the laptop so that the program can fucntion properly. If you have a similar software for my laptop model in the case of the software only, OR you can supply one for me?

  If the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 would support such feature then you will find the necessary software on the European driver Toshiba page.
  In most cases it s called: HDD Protection Utility.

  Many but not all Toshiba notebook supports this feature.
  My U400 supports and I could find the necessary software on the Toshiba driver page.

  Well, the market itself is not displayed... just get "Loading"... anyone else having this problem. My WiFi is 'excellent' and every thing seems to work.

  Go into the settings of your WiFi and did 'Forget' to the network. Then, reconnect. Let me know if this helps.

• Calendar (lightning) does not connect to Google Calendar

  I read this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-lightning-google-calendar , but I still seem to have some difficulty getting flashes to work with Google.

  All I'm trying to do is to get read-only access to the calendar (read/write would be ideal, but it seems provider for Google calendar was not compatible with Thunderbird/Lightning for awhile), if I did the following:
  -Made my Google public calendar
  -Copy the iCal URL
  -Created a new calendar in lightning using the Google iCal URL

  I tried all possible combinations of "http" / "https" and iCal and CalDAV, without success. None of my events/appointments will appear in the lightning at all, even if calendars are created "successfully."

  I use:
  -Mac OS X 10.9.2 "snipers".
  -Thunderbird 31.0
  -Lightning 3.3

  Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  There is always a compatible version of the provider for Google calendar available on AMO. You need version 0.32 for 3.3 lightning.

• can't download movies itunes to the child's account

  I have active sharing family and expressed the box shopping as well.  I have several itunes movies available.  And I can download them from an adult account.  The problem is my ipad for children shows them as purchased and not on their ipad.  But when I click on one of the films, it shows the download link of clouds but the arrow pointing down is gray instead of blue.  Is there anything else I need to do to get their ipad download?

  You have an age category film located in settings > general > Restrictions on the iPad which blocks their download?

• How can I get the same results from Google Images like in internet Explorer

  If I search Google Images in IE8, I get a list of result pages with a fixed number of items per page. These thumbnail images download quickly, and under each image there is useful information about the content of the image and its source. Images on the next page doesn't download not unless if I select the next page in the list, so that the modem activity stops quickly.

  When I use the same URL - www.google.com - in Firefox and go to Images, I get pages with an indefinitely large number of images of result. All images are stuck next to each other, and there is no other useful information from the text shown at all. If I try to scroll to the bottom of the screen, images more keep downloading. There seems to be no Google settings available in this view to limit the number of images per page.

  Only problems with this is that I am currently limited to 56 KB connection. Images from this point of view download so slowly that they simply never complete in a reasonable time.

  Problem solved by saving a bookmark to Google and then to add by changing the & sout = 1 keyword in the URL.

• Google search links stopped working

  What is hell? Today, I noticed that the links provided by Google search no longer work. If I click on a link suggested by google search, nothing happens! The same screen is presented. I tested it with Firefox 10 and Firefox 6. Same result. Only the previews of google are available, but the actual source links are not clickable.

  I also tried the same exact search with IE, and I'm sad to say that the problem is not with Google.

  Disable Adblock did not change this anomaly.

  Not sure, but this seems to happen and shuts off when cookies are blocked. It might be that this change was not completely turned upside down in my area. This Add-on seems to help at the moment and also with cookies off.

  So I think if you open the Google Drive application on the phone is where I got 50 GB promotion sign. I bought mine on September 11 and got 50 GB for 2 years. Let me know what you find.

  I have documented this weird problem overscan with Xoom that I am trying to solve... as we are going to use the Xoom for presentations on top of other things.

  Photo (197) #1 looks like what our screen of Xoom.

  Picture (544) #2 the minute hook us up on the projector. (additional bar at the bottom)

  Photo (401) #3 playing a movie on the Xoom while pluged into the projector. Movie is paused

  Photo (157) #4 even paused movie as displayed on the projector. (Note the 2 white dots to the left of the face of the guy left.)

  Photo (152) #5 same film break but now deleted HDMI. (The additional bar on the button has disappeared).
