As mentioned in a thread now closed on this site referring to XUL Runner & XUL cache and some registry entries as being the cause. I have a very high percentage of redirects to pages of spam when I use Google search in Firefox, but not IE. How can I stop this?
I tried Firefox extensions and plugins for all the files that are similar to those mentioned in the statutes, or something similar, or something that seems suspicious, without any result. I searched the registry of entries such as those described, or similar, or otherwise suspicious, also with no results.

I have the problem of diversion of google redirect
you are looking for on the one hand, and it redirects to a commercial site or a list. Pages now freeze and when you click on a link, that nothing happens again from time to time, it works. I did a lot and fast MS malware Defender, research etc and nothing. I emptied my temporary files. I tried several times to do a system restore right before this happened (approx. 28/10/11), but when finished it sez he handed in the day I do it, not the day, I tried to restore. Restoration has worked in the past the 1 time I tried! I leave IE and Google chrome, everything works. I very rarely ever use chrome except to get the stuff on 1 site where they say to use it. Thank you

Original title: blue screen of death AND Google Redirect Virus?Hey guys! :)
So last night, my computer has experienced many problems that seem to just get worse and worse.
It all started with a Google search I did; I must have clicked a bad link or something, because then my computer kept asking me permission to install some kind of .exe file (I don't remember what it's called, but I knew it was sketchy, so I clicked 'Cancel', but the guest has continued to pop up whenever I tried to close.) Then I closed Firefox and the pop - up's order, but then shortly after, a message came up on my screen saying:
"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
etc etc.STOP code: 0x000000AD (0x00000001, 0x00000000, 0 x 00000006, 0 x 85879410)
After research I discovered that I had the unfortunate Blue Screen of Death, which now appears whenever I try to restart my computer.
I did a system restore to a time before that day, a malware scan using Hitman Pro 3.5 that has detected a bunch of malware that I deleted, but the BSOD persists. Later in the night, I was unable to run the .exe files and kept getting an error message "the dependency service or group could start", but fortunately, this question is left today (or at least for the moment...)
Apart from this question, I also have the Google redirect Virus, which I think is related to my BSOD problem. I had a few weeks ago and managed successfully to remove it with Hitman Pro but now he's back with a vengeance. I did multiple scans with Hitman Pro with no results, I tried to launch the Device Manager looking TDSSserv.sys with no luck and I'm starting to feel like there is no hope :(
I'm not extremely proficient in computer science so absolutely any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm also running Windows Vista on a HP Pavilion laptop if this is useful information.
Thanks again! :)
Hello
try this program to remove it
Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

You should also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

Google Redirect Virus + corruption System32.
I have Windows Vista Enterprise and I recently discovered that I have a redirect virus that sends me spam search sites when I use Google and who also opens tabs in my browser unexpectedly. I found that he did this in Explorer and Firefox and I recently installed Chrome and it works at all.
Now, to try to resolve the problem, I ran sfc/scannow, and he discovered problems that could not be fixed. I can't access the log in the log/CBS folder like it says access denied.
I tried to use the restoration of the system, the event log, msconfig, administration tools, and when I try to open one of them, I get an error message that says: "the dependency service or group could start." And he cites the file in the folder Windows/System32 as having failed.
Basically, tells me that the virus can went ahead and corrupted each file or utility that I would use to remove any leaving my internet connection and the job of the Navigator.
McAfee has found 4 Trojan horses when I did a system scan yesterday and it deleted, but it seems that the damage is done and I need to find a way to fix it.

Divert it/Google Redirect issue
I think I have the Google Redirect virus. Or Trojan. Or whatever it is called. I downloaded Hijack this and I found with a list of the processes that might be wrong. However, he said that it would be better to have someone to recommend what process to correct, as opposed to fix all the and causing irreversible damage. I saved the process listed on the notebook... who should I show? Or I post here and hope someone can choose the wrong things?
It seems that that one was in a temporary folder. Because you still have problems, there may be several hidden in the system components. You have a rootkit TDL4, but I can't tell without seeing some results of specific tests. Dell Community does not support the deletion of individual malware more. It would be good to have someone run some diagnostic logs to see exactly what's causing these redirects. I suggest you post in the Forum to the SpywareHammer malware removal and have trained personnel at the foot of software removal malicious you through diagnostic analysis and cleaning. Help is free, but you will need to register. They no longer accept the Hijackthis logs except if requested by the staff, so don't forget not that you read assignment statements to perform one more tool to date. Please include a link to this topic at Dell, so your help does not repeat unnecessarily the same things we've already talked about here. I'll see that your registration has been approved within a reasonable time and I'll alert a helper to pick up your issue as soon as possible.
In addition, there are other options at the top of this forum. Some are free; some require a fee. Please use only a single resource. It can be counterproductive to have too many people trying to help. Good luck!

IM using my moms because computer that I can't get on all Web sites related to microsoft. I downloaded xna on microsoft.com (games development). Now I need to download a separate package and it won't let me! If I type in microsoft.com it redirects me to google. and if I google the package, I need and you click a microsoft link it gives me a 404 error. What can I do? He let me anti viral sites, but nothing can detect a problem. Ive checked for rootkits, malware, viruses, etc and still nothing. IM at a loss. Ive tried a lot of videos and tactics to fix and his also does not help. I also have google installed crome and I tried to use it to connect to microsoft.com but he redirected me also, so I know this isn't a problem with internet explore. Thank you!
HelloDid you do any changes to the hardware or software on your computer before this problem?Method 1:I suggest you run a scan antivirus using Microsoft Safety Scanner in safe mode with networking to check if your computer is clean of any infection by the virus.Step 1:Start your computer in safe mode with network.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
NOTE: see 3 from the link above, Advanced options boot (including safe mode).Select Mode safe mode with networking.Once in safe mode, run step 2.Step 2:I suggest you run an antivirus scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner to confirm that your computer is free from any infection by the virus. Please find the link below.Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection.Method 2:(a) open Internet Explorer by clicking on the Startbutton and then about Internet Explorer.(b) click on the Toolsbutton and then click on Internet Options.(c) click the connectionstab, and then click LAN settings.(d) clear all check boxes, including the proxy settings, if necessary(e) restart Internet Explorer.Hope the information is useful. -
Add ons still carry Google redirect virus.
This should really be fixed. Happened for a while and I don't understand why better before prior rental was not made more thoroughly. I got the virus today and couldn't remove with malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy or even an Antivirus that I paid for. I've read about it does not same combo fix. Until it is fixed, I'll use something else. Me reminds a bit of Android that I like the most, but you see how bad the malware in their store of Google play is?
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.
