GPIB interface is missing

I built a .exe and can work with him so far. The last step is to create a report (excel). Reporting works very well in the development environment, but not via the .exe. Then I get the attached message. What this means and what I can do?

Thank you!

  • Can not find the tourmalines usb gpib interface (agilent io suite) max

    Hello

I try to use my USB-GPIB Interface of 63488 TAMS in LabView.

There is a manual for the use of the TAMS Interfaces in LabView. You must uninstall all Suite of IO with the exception of the CLCL-pieces. The problem is, this option is not given in the new versions of the suite that run under win7 (14.2 +). And according to driver download site, you need to install Suite 14.2 +. It is misleading. On my request for a manual for the use of a newer version of the suite I don't got no answer so far, so I'll try on own and with your help, I hope.

To do this, I have installed on my Win7 x 86 system:

    -LabView 2009

    NI-VISA 4.6

    OR-488. 2 2.73

    -Measurement & Automation Explorer 4.6.2

    -Agilent IO Suite 15.5

    -TAMS pilot 63488 v1.2

The driver of the TAMS works on my system. The Agilent connection Expert I see the interface and the device connected. And I can connect through this connection.

To use this interface in LabView, I activated the NI-VISA for Tulip passport, but I had no new device in MAX I tried to activate the Agilent GPIB cards for 488 programs in the Expert of the connection, but it was not the solution.

So I checked the DLL. The GPIB - 32.dll is replaced by Agilent, so cards Agilent must be enabled for 488 programs. But the info for the t6348832.dll says "TULIP DLL for the USB/GPIB T63488". If the 488 option can take effect, but why I have no effect on the activation of the passport for a Tulip? Any ideas?

Thank you for your help and support.

For someone who has this particular problem:

I have found a small workaround to solve this problem. For this you need a Suite of Agilent, which will uninstall VISA without CLCL (review of Agilent IO libraries M.01.01 should be the last). With a tool like 7Zip, you can unzip the single installation file to get the installation files. Now you must enable the compatibility mode for Windows XP on the installation application before you install the libraries. After that, you can proceed as described by TAMS:

  • will transfer data in parallel in the GPIB interface?

    Hi all

I have two devices (that support GPIB) connected in series and connect to the GPIB interface card. These two devices have two different addresses and I use VISA module to send data at the same time. GPIB cables are connected in series, so that means it will be locked during the transfer of data to a device? I think that the GPIB transfer rates are not low (about 1 MB/s), but it takes so long to transfer 500 KB to the unit (approximately 45 seconds).

  • Problem with PCI-GPIB card control Agilent 8648 D generator interface

    Hello

    I downloaded the driver Plug-and-Play (project-style) for Agilent 8648 A generator of signals. I use LabVIEW 2011.

I open the file project and resource VISA name menu, select COM1. Note that I use 82350B of the PCI-GPIB Interface Card.

I run the project, and I get timeout error.

Is there a problem in the PCI-GPIB interface or am I missing something? I'm new to LabView and PCI-GPIB interface, and I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you

Given that you do not use a NI GPIB, go to MAX, select software and NI-VISA. In the right window, click the Options of VISA, and then select passports under general settings. Check on the passport of NI-VISA for Tulip.

I'm assumimg you loaded the driver of Agilent and tested the communication with their software.

You really should read the 8510 manuals C.

Page 4-10 of the 8510C on-site repair, it indicates

For systems equipped with controllers, connect all devices and
the controller on the GPIB connector the 85101.

The 8510C of operation and programming manual includes steps for checking the system setup.

  • Beats audio software missing after installing windows 8.1

    Hi all!

I have a problem I would like help with. I just upgraded to windows 8 to 8.1, but now the beats audio/software interface is missing, and I can't get it back. What should I do? I have a HP ENVY m6-k088ca Sleekbook.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp61501-62000/sp61792.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, turn off the phone by holding down the SHIFT key when you click on close to temporarily prevent a "boot hybrid.  Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click set as default.

Restart the computer again, then check if the Beats audio Panel is now listed in the control panel.

    Kind regards

My sound works but the beats and driver interface is missing.please tell me how to get beats interface and rear driver or where I can download it from?

Have this day you installed through the use of the HP Support Assistant?

I suggest using the Windows system restore and choose a restore point dated to before the update.

You can find the system restore by clicking the Windows icon and select Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, click on system restore.

That should restore control interface beats to your laptop.

  • VXI by GPIB on LV 2009 + Windows 7 help

Hello.  I have no experience with VXI.

I have a client who got hired to encode a VXI product that has been marketed as controlled by GPIB (the chassis contains a GPIB interface).

I was informed late last night I have to use Plug and Play VXI drivers to make it work.  (Long story and I am not happy about).

    I'm coding LV2009 SP1 on Windows 7.

I installed NI-VISA and NOR-VXI.  I can see the GPIB instrument in MAX.  I can even run the SCPI via Max and LabVIEW controls.  (The problem is that they have apparently not applied specific GPIB commands that they published).

They provided a VXI - PNP driver and very vague instructions.  I installed this driver and I have imported their .fp file in LabVIEW.  When I run the init code with the right GPIB resource passed into the function, I get the same error when I call a non-existent GPIB device - even if it takes more time to get back.

I searched for VXI tutorials on the site of NOR and there are a LOT of things to go, and I'm not even sure that I have all the necessary drivers.

Anyone know a good place to start to read up?

(And Yes, I'm dogging people instrument to help me too)

    Thank you

    Hi Jed,

From our conversation with your service request, I wanted the documents a link to this post to help with future issues.

    Hello

I recently started a new job and have had communication problems between my adapter GPIB-USB-HS, my VISA or MAX-Labview and USB-8451 I2C/SPI interface.  I installed LabView to 32 bits, OR-488. 2, the driver for the 8451 on my windows desktop and VISA 16.0 7.

In the windows Device Manager, the 8451 appears as a device USB of NI-VISA and Gbspecifications FOR-USB-HS presents itself as a GPIB Interface of NOR.  Two of these instruments are recognized NI Max so but communication Gbspecifications FOR add-in adapter (and connected instruments) fails and he can't find the instruments and the self-test fails with a hardware error unknown gpib (-37052).  The watch also neither device VISA Interactive Control.

The ready light is lit on the GPIB-USB adapter and the 8451 flashes green as if nothing is wrong at the end.  I uninstalled all the software of NOR and reinstalled, and I run MAX as an administrator.  Is there possibly some computer settings I could neglect or need to change to open a communication?  Any other ideas on why I can't communicate with devices?

    Thank you!

Currently, I am trying to connect to a controller PI E-712 has an ENET port on a windows 7.

    Thank you for your adivce.

I am sure that tha the device does support ethernet. The problem is, however, that we cannot connect the ethernet to the computer itself. We do not actually use Labview but a program called DMACS, that's why we want to use GPIB on the end of the computer.

The NI GPIB-ENET/1000 will not work for you. It is an Ethernet to GPIB device. Your instrument is not a GPIB interface.

    I'm not familiar with DMACS.

  • DOSBox for the GPIB support

    Hello

New to the Commission, but have been using technologies of NI GPIB bus for five years in my business.  I am currently underway to rewrite some DOS applications based on Windows so that we can support the later operating systems, but we still have a lot of existing code written.  I have explored the possibility of using DosBox for some of these applications give a new life under Windows 7 and later operating systems.  A particular application is a work horse very versatile app written and maintained by one of our application engineers.

Currently, I found that DosBox provides no support for the GPIB interface card.  However, I downloaded the source to DosBox and found that it was written in Visual C++.  Given my previous experience in porting applications for this platform, I am convinced that I could 'improve' DosBox to subsidize GPIB for DOS applications through a form of emulation.  I think something in the sense of a DOS application running by calling the GPIB functions which are translated by DosBox in calls in the Windows of DosBox drivers.

Has anyone ever tried this before?  I thought that the first step would be to understand (and maybe disassemble) the code contained in libraries of objects used by these programs (QBIB. OBJ, MCIB. OBJ, MCIBL. OBJ, etc.).  I tried looking for sources for these but my research have developed dry.  Has anyone been on this path and have had better luck?  If this isn't the case, it would be possible to get more information on how the DOS driver strives to contribute to this effort?

    Thanks in advance.
