  Hi all

  I have I encounter some difficulties to measure the temperature using MAX with the installation of the thermistor Iex and would like to know if I missed something important. I use external current thermistor excited with 2 ladders and card PCI-6259 with MAX.

  We discovered that the problem came from our wiring to thermistor does NOT of installation. If Differencial has been used, the conversion of MAX worked well. If this is not the case, only directly blood pressure will work.  Bryan

  Hi all

  Someone at - he temperature ever measured using an NI USB-6343 or something close to it? Encountered problems?

  I was reading on the device and it has been suggested that the conditioning of signals may not be required, and I'm a little worried...

  You want a device that has USB connectivity like the 6343? If so, we have several hardware based USB DAQ for thermocouples. The links below will show 3 devices, we have:

  Now, I know that some of them will probably not ideal for your app, but I wanted to just give you options. It also depends on how fast you want your sample rate is. These devices are specific for the use of thermocouple, but you can still use them (excluding the tc01s) for voltage readings. I hope this helps!

  I have a 1303 SCXI front-end module connected to an SCXI-1102 module

  I read the article detailing how to remove bias and pullup resistors to activate measures of RTD/thermistor on the 1303. What did not mention article was the case plug the excitation source, and what is the best source of operating voltage (normal etc., high precision)

  I was wondering where I can find this information, also, I could do several types of measure on the same 1303? I have an analog voltage to a flow meter, and I would like to put it on the same module as the Thermistors

  Kevin,

  The pulling up of resistors to connect to + 5 V internally.  If the values are not suitable for your application, you can use those.  It does give you much flexibility but.  The 1303 does not give you any other access to any source of current or voltage through screw terminals.

  Pull upward and pull down resistors are networks of resistors Series 9-pin SIP. So you can edit them in blocks of 8 channels for joint measures.

  I saw 25 available but GB BD - R can't seem to find a regular CD - R with this ability.  The BD - R will work?  I have an Inspiron Desktop 3847.

  Any drive with enough capacity will work. Any type of CD is limited to 800 MB, DVD 4.7 GB and Blu - Ray up to 50 GB (I think that these values are correct, correct me if I'm wrong). If you have a blu Ray burner, blu Ray disk will work.

  I'm new to Labview please anyone can help would be appreciated.

  I'm trying to read the temperature using thermocouple type K with a NI 9213 module in Labview.

  I used two individual channels.  One is the ambient air temperature.

  The second is one is inside the PVC piping Assembly read the temperature of the air flow which also has moisture.

  Ambient air temperature reading is working perfectly fine.

  Reading the inside of PVC piping is fluctuating.  The temperature varies randomly between 4-7 degrees Celsius.

  My question is what causes this fluctuation of reading.  Is - this air flow inside the tube.  Vibration?  Moisture?  CYC?

  Please help someone?

But if I have the same code to create two measures of mirror, I get an error - 50103 "the resource specified is reserved". I just started using LabVIEW, so any help is valuable.   You can have as many channels of the same type (in this case of analog input) in a task.  If your simple solution would be to have four channels in your task.  You also need to set your Read DAQmx for multiple channels.

  Dominic displays only HDD temp and MBM profile for 1800-224 display cases and the cpu. But if I can use this profile? Any other ideas how to meausre CPU temp?

  MBM shows me around 40 to 49 ° C for the cpu. Is this normal or too high just to run windows?

  As Dennis says, if you use the built-in scan function, you will need to consult the manual. See Section 10-16 (this is page 10 of article 16, only paragraphs not but 10, 16) for the manual Keithley 2400.

  The Keithley 24xx series has a speed of measurement in units called PLC (Power Line Cycles). The default speed is 1PLC, which means a measure is taken with each cycle of line 1 power supply or 1/60th of a second (16.67ms). 24XX can range from 0.01 PLC (all 0.16ms) 10 PLC (all 166.6ms). The faster you measure, the less accuracy you get.

  To programmatically set this value, the command is

  ENSe:CURRent:NPLCycles

  ENSe:VOLTage:NPLCycles

  Depending on what you are sensing and where is the number of controllers from 0.01 to 10.

  Another factor that will determine the time between data points is the cycle SDM. These are more complicated, look at your Keithley manual for more information. Look at article 6 and article 11 for more information.

  Note:

  PLC times are based on a cycle of 60 Hz US.

• Reading of temperatures using PXI-4351

  I can't configure my PXI-4351.  I can't read a measure of a thermocouple unless I run NI MAX Test Panel for the temperature at the same time as I run my Labview code.  If I open the test panel and configured to read a thermocouple, my labview code will read for a thermocouple.  If I close the MAX test Panel, then the labview code stops playing correctly.  It gives me false readings.

  Here's what I do in LV:

  NI435X CONTROL AND READ-ONLINE TIMEOUT = 1000, SIZE = 2048 SCANS

  NI435X START/STOP-STOP ONLINE ACQUISITION

  I'm running 7.1 LV and MAX 4.0.0.3010, I don't know what my version of NI435X - and I don't know where to find this info.

  Thanks, Corby!  I appreciate the help and I run last night.  The problem seems to be in the loop.  I didn't have my function playback looping and for some reason any, it is necessary, even if you take only a single reading.  I don't understand why - but at least it works this way.

  I had a serious problem regarding the use of DAQmx USB-6225. Please look at my diagram below:

  

  When I measure the waveform sine on AI0, everything is OK. Even with a very sampling rate high as 80kS.

  When I measure the waveform sine on AI1, everything is OK. Even with a very sampling rate high as 80kS.

  When I measure the battery voltage on AI2 CC, everything is OK. Even with a very sampling rate high as 80kS.

  Now comes the problem:

  If I measure all three analog inputs or the two and two together, I get a very different result when I measured one and a single channel. If I add more channels (i.e AI3 and AI4) on my USB-6225 DAQmx, without connect anything to them, I can see the sinuses even as I do with AI0 AI1, but with less amplitude.

  When I measure the voltage as well as AI0 and/or AI1, the domain controller becomes sinus armor as well. If I connect the + 2 V DC directly to data acquisition without resistance, I see a line perfectly DC on my chart, but with the sinus AI3 and AI4 top.

  If I use an oscilloscope and measured directly on the same wire that goes to my data acquisition and the resistorcoupling, I can see small pulses of the samplingfrequency and the signal seems quite noisy.

  That's my big problem:

  Anyone with some experience around this problem? The impedance of the analog input on my USB-6225 DAQmx is 10Gigaohm so it should not really been an issue.

  Here is what I tried:

  With the help of a D - sub cable with shield. I tried to use with no shield shield closed, I have both ends and closed, the shield only on my DAQ.

  I checked my code and also just used the DAQ assistant.

  I checked all parts off my setup for groundcircuits and I twisted each cable from any power supply, the signalgenerators, the DAQ cables.

  I have connected my DAQ to mainsground (in the wallcontact 230V and Yes, we use 230V in Norway). Also any other equipment.

  I connected without mainsground. Also any other equipment.

  I tried cables as short as possible.

  I tried to use the differential, CSR (Respect to GND), NRSE (Respect to the sense of IT). Nothing has worked.

  I tried to use as sample rate and samples possible. (It helped a little when the DC measurement and AN analog input. If I tried all three, he has yet again).

  All this comes to mind that the USB-6225 DAQmx cannot manage measuring more than resistors with values around 1Megaohm and above.
